i took my dog to puff and fluff for a 11:30 am appointment at the Litchfield spa for a bath and brush. I told them my dog does not like the noise from the blow dryer so she needs to be towel dried and she does not like being kenneled. the receptionist looked totally confused and said she needs to check with someone in the back. A lady came out with pink head phones and did not give her name. she told me that she did not know what I was there for! I again explained I want a bath, brush towel dry and I would wait in the front office so they didn't have to kennel my dog! she said she didn't understand what I wanted? at this point I decided that for my dogs saftey I would not leave my baby with this person who seemed to be very irritated at me for asking for a small accommodations so my dog would have a good experience . This is our second visit and we are very pleased with how well he is groomed and the staff always seems to love him. I've never had my dog cut while at a groomers until I came here. I normally go to petsmart and they always take good care of my pup but my coworker recommended this place and said it would be cheaper ($45) but it was actually more ($65). The website did say $45 for card dog which my dog is. My pup received a cut on her eyelid. They pushed her visor way back. One side of her hair on her face is longer than the other. I knew it was going to be bad when the groomer told me I can bring my pup back to get the cut fixed before the groomer even brought her out. The body was fine (due to my pup always wearing dresses) but they totally messed up her facial cut and even cut her on her eye. read more

*Update* They did reach out to me after my yelp review and offered me a refund which I appreciated. However, since I made an appointment on the phone after getting their number on yelp, I never went to the website or received an email about the vaccination records. AS MENTIONED, I am a NEW puppy owner and am not very familiar with the puppy vaccination process. I think requesting that I bring immunization records over the phone when I made my appointment, or even when I first checked her in would've helped me to realize that I still needed to get her another round of shots prior to her first grooming appointment. Just saying that if my pup can slip through the cracks, then so can someone else's. That's all. I had just figured that being a pet groomer, they would've reached out to me prior to my yelp review to check in. I had not missed any calls/voicemails/texts prior. Extremely disappointed and disgusted with this business. Over the past year, we have brought our dog here a few times and typically had fair experiences. The most recent time was much, MUCH different. Within hours of bringing our dog home after her groom, she began crying in pain and not allowing us to touch her back side. Within what ended up being two separate visits, our vet discovered trauma in the form of disc inflammation and dozens of puncture wounds from clippers all over her back side. We were left with a bill of over $500 due to the x-rays, consultation fees, and 3 medications our vet recommended on top of the fact that our poor dog is now confined to a kennel most of the day to allow her to heal adequately. P&F handled this situation poorly, to say the least. Krissy got extremely defensive with both myself and my vet, and "in good faith" only offered to reimburse us for our consultation fee from the vet. P&F only cares about covering themselves and can't even own up to the fact that the trauma was caused by their groomer. They accused us of not telling them if there was something wrong with our dog beforehand yet hid that their groomer caused our dog trauma and left us to find out on our own and foot the bill as well. This business is disgusting and only cares about their money, not how they actually treat dogs. Do not bring your dogs here, ever. read more

I just moved to this side of town and am in search of a dog groomer for our new puppy. I had used previous my groomer for 11 years and I think she loved my dog as much as I did! I am looking for a similar relationship for my puppy. - it was easy to make an appointment online -the salon is very easy to find - I proactively provided the vet records for my puppy. The woman took them and set them down without looking at them. - I explained my concerns as this was my puppy's second groom ever. - when I went to get my puppy, there was almost a line out the door to pick her up. I was excited as I thought I found my new groomer. As I got to the front it was the same woman who checked me in. I nervously asked how my puppy did and she replied "I don't know, I didn't groom her". There was such a long line that she didn't go ask the groomer for me or offer to have the groomer come out. - After I paid, the woman went to get my puppy, who seemed happy, and basically called "next" and looked right past me. I felt like I was checking out at a convenience store with no personal interaction whatsoever. I still have no idea how it went. Judging by the long line, many people love this place and that's great. It just wasn't for me and my puppy. read more

Pricing is misleading. Paid almost double what I usually pay at the other place even though the website pricing shows it would be the same. When I picked him up, they told me that I should not have picked the cut length that I did because my dog was too skiddish and it could have caused them to cut him with how short it was. I don't know what length to pick, I just picked based on look. And if it was dangerous, they should have not done that length. They're the "professionals", not me? Also realized after I got home that they never asked for my pup's vaccination records. I saw others reviews on here that their dog got sick after going here. It makes sense. I drove to this salon from Peoria because the newspaper stated that Santa would be there to take pictures with the pets, and all the proceeds would go to a pet rescue. When I got there, I was told that Santa had cancelled. Sorry. This is not professional and not acceptable. I changed all my morning plans to be there. Also, the place does not look like the picture. Our original groomer just moved away so i called these fine people! They got me in the very next day talked about the cut i wanted and length for my shitzu. they even had hair length samples and suggested the right one. when i picked Wrigley up he was so relaxed and happy, I have NEVER seen my dog so at ease after a groom! First I will say that my Moosie looked good when I picked her up. She is a 7 month old miniature schnauzer, still a puppy. She has been to another groomer twice. I was told the second time that she was good, the first she didn't sit still. This time I was told that she was hard to handle and there would be a extra charge. When I asked why they wouldn't charge the second time to allow for the fact that she didn't know them I was told that the groomer was bitten and scratched. This is a pup who loves everyone. She has been to puppy parties with many dogs and people and has loved everybody. There has never been aggression of any kind. The trainer that I've worked with has a hard time believing she would be aggressive. This is either an excuse for charging me more or the groomer didn't show the love that would put my dog at ease. I have had dogs for years and been to many groomers. The staff that I encountered didn't show the love asnd care that I've experienced at other places. read more
