My boys look amazing! I have an Australian Shepherd and a Black Labrador Retriever. They're both big dogs, and neither one is exactly known for making a groomer's job easy. DHDC Mobile Pet Grooming absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the beginning, communication was excellent. I received text messages confirming my appointment window ahead of time, and on the day of my appointment they even let me know the groomer might be running a little behind. Ironically, he wasn't behind at all. I was given a two-hour arrival window of 3:00-5:00 p.m., and Corey arrived right around 4:00. That's about as perfect as you can ask for. The biggest reason we'll continue using DHDC, however, is Corey himself. My Australian Shepherd has previously been labeled as "aggressive" by other groomers when handling his paws and underbelly. Naturally, I asked Corey how he did. His response? "No aggression. He just got a little restless and wanted to lay down." That told me everything I needed to know. Waylon wasn't a problem dog. He just needed someone patient enough to work with him. Both of our boys look fantastic, but our Aussie required the most attention. Between the Grinch paws, the leg feathers, and enough rear-end fluff to qualify for its own ZIP code, he had plenty of work ahead of him. Corey cleaned him up beautifully while still keeping that classic Aussie look. All in all, the dogs are happy, I am happy, and our air purifiers are happy. We absolutely loved the groomers and their service and attention they provided our Goldendoodle. Groomers are great The complaint I have with them is their scheduling process, they provide the next appointment date but not the time until a couple days prior to arrival, it's difficult for us to make any plans for that specific date. So as their customer, we are stuck until we know the time and by then it's too late for us to schedule other appointments. I understand the 2 hour window timeframe due to travel, traffic and perhaps longer sessions with the fur baby customer, however I explained the morning works best for us because both times we had late appointments, the equipment had mechanical issues and canceled our appointment, so wasted our entire day. The customers supporting their business deserves clear communication and specific dates with a timeframe at the time of scheduling. We have moved on with a more dependable company and the appointment date and time is what you receive. read more

A solid 5-Star performer! My Doxies had never been groomed before, so I thought we'd try it out at home, hoping it would be less traumatic for them. I had used another mobile groomer is the past, but there was always a month-long wait to get in. So, I took to Yelp and found DHDC. With such impressive feedback, I thought I'd give them a try. I was very impressed when they said that they could be out within the week. Not only the onsite grooming has to be convenient, but so should the scheduling. They hit the mark there. Jo-Ann texted me that she was on the way so that I knew what to expect. She was happy and upbeat throughout the visit. Her trailer was air conditioned and had all of the pet grooming conveniences. Jo-Ann took our girl in for a bath and cut. Shes a long haired Doxie and her thick hair has to be hot in the summer. Little buddy is a short-hair and only needed a nail trim. Jo-Ann finished in about an hour and returned them to the front door. I was pleased that they did so well. The haircut and nail trim were spot on. Jo-Ann even sent photos of my fur babies afterward. Now that I've been using DHDC for several months, I think I can give a complete review of their services. They're pretty reliable. They let you know when they're going to be late. They also give you a chance to confirm future appointments by texting you a couple of days prior. They're also pretty responsive when you text them with questions. They're very good at deshedding my rottie (he sheds like crazy!). I had Andrew as a groomer for the first three or four times. Then I got Alaina. And the last groomer I had was Jo'Ann. Andrew was very thorough and detailed, but unfortunately he no longer works there. He even checked and expressed Duke's anal glands. Every appointment with Andrew was awesome!! Then Alaina, she either didn't cut/Dremelled Duke's nails at all or did very little. And afterwards, Duke got very sick: he became very lethargic, had poor appetite, had dry bumps all over his body, and his coat was falling out by the chunks. He needed to be taken to the vet and put on antibiotics and pain medication because he had such a horrible reaction to something (either cologne or maybe poorly sanitized equipment). It took about two weeks for him to feel better, but his coat was still falling out and he had dandruff all over (normally his coat is very shiny without dandruff). Our third groomer was Jo'Ann. This time I made sure that Duke was only bathed with their oatmeal shampoo and no cologne sprayed on him. Seems like she Dremelled his nails down. I asked her if she checked his anal glands because he has been licking back there a little too much and she told me that dogs get their anal glands expressed automatically while they defecate (yes, I know), but she didn't even check until I asked her. I wish all the groomers worked the same way. Again, Andrew was the most detail-oriented one and I wish he was still working there. I will keep using their service. However, I am somewhat hesitant to recommend them. read more

Beware of the hidden 2-hour window! As someone new to mobile pet grooming, this was a terrible first experience. While the initial messages were friendly and the process seemed straightforward, things went downhill quickly after I paid the non-refundable $25 deposit. Immediately after paying, I began receiving texts from a different number. I continued the conversation, assuming we were still confirmed for 8:30 AM the following day. However, when 9:00 AM arrived with no communication, I reached out only to be told the groomer was still with a previous client and had no ETA. When I asked to cancel, I was told I had to forfeit my deposit. I tried to explain that the "2-hour arrival window" was never disclosed until after I had paid, but the representative was unhelpful and unapologetic. It feels like a very sneaky way of doing business. Beware of changing fees...I have 2 huskies and have been using this company for some time now..I know that sometimes my dogs need extra time to get groomed and I also know it cost more on these occasions. My groomer is always good about letting me know how much it is before she starts...as she did today..however when she spoke to her supervisor at the end she was told to charge me even more than what was agreed upon..needless to say I am not happy..but I paid the fee. Our dog's coat was ruined a long time ago and I was very worried that we couldn't fix it. She took him in, groomed him, and evaluated his coat. And He actually messaged me early saying that he had a cancellation and asked if he could come early... I said sure.... So he showed up at 11 a.m. which was perfect because he was able to give my lil Long Hair Chihuahua a full shave and cut and file my other 2 dogs nails for me as well!!! Initially, we had a positive experience with the groomer who took care of our 10 year old golden retriever, so we referred this company to our daughter for her 1 year old golden. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. The groomer who was scheduled to take care of our daughter's dog was an hour late, had her 10 year old son and another dog with her, and refused to cut her golden as short as ours normally is. All unprofessional red flags, but that was nothing compared to the final outcome. Some time into the drying portion of the grooming, the groomer's son rang the doorbell at my daughter's home. She asked, "Is he done already?" But the son said, no, "We had an accident." My daughter rushed out to see her wet dog unresponsive on the sidewalk with the groomer trying to revive him. During a brief FaceTime call, it was obvious the dog was in grave condition. My daughter (5 months pregnant, and with a 19 month old daughter in tow), rushed the dog to the emergency vet, only to have him declared DOA. The dog was just over a year old, with no known health issues. Of course, the groomer denied having him restrained with anything other than a belly band, and said, "he just passed out while I was drying him." We asked for any video from inside the trailer, and got a 3 second snippet with the dog on the drying table, with the belly band obviously in place, but the neck restraint also is visible in the picture, hard to confirm its exact position. Needless to say, this is the worst possible outcome for a dog grooming. Regardless of the root cause of the fatal outcome, whether an unknown medical condition was triggered by the stress of drying (doubtful since he loved the leaf blower), something the groomer did unintentionally out of ignorance/incompetence, or worse case, an intentional act, the outcome is the same. A perfectly happy, healthy one year old golden retriever entered the grooming trailer, and came out dead. While the events leading to the death of the dog were most likely unplanned, the incident has been compounded by the horrible response by Triston. At one point at the vet, she told my daughter, "Now's not the time to cry"... Unbelievable. To top that off, it's been more than 48 hours with no contact, no offer of at the LEAST, a refund for the grooming, coverage of the vet bill, assistance with filling a claim with the company's insurance provider, nothing. They won't return my husband's phone calls. If there's nothing to hide, where's the full video as requested? The reason video cameras are in the grooming trailers should be to protect the employees from false accusations, so the video should show everything being fine. But we cannot get a copy of the full video. If the employee did something wrong, hold her accountable, and be accountable to the customer. If the owner knows something was done wrong, and is covering it up, she's an accomplice. The difference between an unplanned event and a coverup is dishonest, purposeful unethical, possibly illegal behavior. UPDATE: Since posting the original review, Triston reached out immediately to provide some clarification from her perspective. Following the conversation, she did refund the original cost of the grooming and has offered to reimburse our daughter for the associated veterinary ER bills. Triston did offer to pay for the necropsy as well, but we chose to pay for that. We do appreciate her willingness to make things as right as possible. The seemingly insignificant gesture of simply refunding the cost of the grooming actually goes a long way, and should have been done immediately. Much of our dissatisfaction was with the perceived lack of concern and delayed follow up. It is not our intention to spread false information about this company, or to be unfair or purposely inaccurate in any way. To avoid any further "she said, she said" in a public forum, I will say everything shared in the original review is what we perceived to be accurate at the time. The context and timing of the events may have been different, but the facts surrounding the death of my daughter's dog are terrible enough on their own. It would bring the most peace to all those involved to learn from the pending necropsy that the death of our daughter's dog was not the direct result of actions or inaction of the groomer, but rather from an underlying, previously unknown issue. Until the results are available, that's all we can offer. read more

Saw this cute grooming truck at a neighbors house and decided to give them a try. First appt, was a reschedule to another day and then the truck/groomer still arrived later than the rescheduled appt. I gave grace because it was during the holidays and I know groomers were extremely busy. In the end, my pup was groomed well and I paid full price. No discount, apology or anything for the reschedule, late arrival and inconvenience to me. Fast forward to today. My pups 4:00 pm appt was scheduled a month ago. I confirmed on Wed prior to today. I received a text at 413 asking to reschedule to Sunday. I declined the reschedule because I've scheduled my Friday evening around my pup getting groomed. The person via text stated they would be here around 6. Well at 628, I received a text stating they were on the way but needed to get gas and would be here in 30 minutes. I declined that as well. Again, no apology, no empathy, not anything, crickets. I understand running a business and running into issues but twice and with no consideration to the customer and what we have going on.
