And while I might consider myself thorough, "anal" might be a more accurate descriptor. We consider our pet family as well, and when our old vet/groomer retired I went looking. We don't look for the closest, or by zip code, but I do look for the best. My dog is a rescue. Skittish somewhat, but a superb judge of people. A skill responsible for keeping her alive before she found her forever home I'd guess. She likes precious paws. I like precious paws. My family likes precious paws. Ask around. Go visit. She came home and the next day had kennel cough even though she has been vaccinated. But apparently she has enough business that she doesn't need to generate any more with inquiries.
