Before most of these soccer fields and adult leagues popped up around the Miami area, South Florida Club Sport was setting up soccer leagues at the KSP field (even before it expanded and is what it is today) and let me tell you, they know how to organize sports very, VERY well. I've played in several leagues for SFCS from 2005 till now and that just shows you how awesome they are. Not only was it a great way for me to stay in shape but the best part about it was I also met and made lifelong friends through the various leagues I joined throughout the years. Additionally, I've had many interactions with the owner of the company, Steve Arsenault, and he is nothing short of professional as well as friendly. He's always open to feedback from the league members so if you ever find yourself thinking of ways to improve the league you're playing in, just reach out to him and he'll be all ears. He also tries to set up other social events and trips for the league members which is always appreciated and enjoyable. What else is there to say except that this company has consistently established solid leagues for all kinds of sports and has brought the Miami community together in a social and fun way. If you're new to Miami or a native Miamian (Broward County counts, too), make it a point to join one of their leagues. You will not regret it! Their motto to me should be, "SFCS - making adult soccer leagues cool since the early 2000s."

Swim 800M, 1 mile, 5k or 10k sounds good right?…read more Unfortunately this is the only race of its kind in Miami so there is no competition to incentivize them to improve the event. I have participated in dozens of running races, triathlons and obstacle course races so I have seen event management highs and lows. I have never seen a race where they run out of water for the competitors. I completed this race last year and could not find water when I finished the race; all I had offered to drink was muscle milk shakes. I advised the management and they said they would address it this year. Well I did see them place a cooler of water at the finish line but it was full of the small water bottles (the kind intended for children). I was able to get water this time and was grateful for that. However, that water ran out about 15 minutes after I finished the 1 mile race. I went back hoping to get another small bottle and the cooler was empty. Clearly 4 ounces of water was not enough. They never replenished it. All the finishers that came in after went without water. That is UNACCEPTABLE. You pay $75 for a race and you can't even provide enough water for us. Also only 2 trays of watermelon and cantaloupe? Come on. Really? If you don't want to spend money on fruit then call Publix and ask for a donation. Why bother with two trays for the hundreds of competitors. It does not make any sense. Also the format to pick up the timing chips and get marked was horrendous. It was worse than last year's long line on the pier. The upside was the course was good; the timing system was good, the race started on time and the volunteers were nice. These are clearly shortcomings of the management. These are issues that can be remedied. I hope they hear and act on the advice.
