Stayed at a nearby resort and stopped in for dessert. Spacious shop with friendly service from Nathalia and Juliana. Tried the taro and vanilla swirl and the signature egg waffle cone with vanilla ice cream -- both delicious! Ice cream was rich and creamy, and the waffle paired perfectly. Will definitely return to try their boba milk teas.

By the way, if you haven't visited yet, it's worth it! However, I know that many locals and visitors tend to miss this area. If you do venture out that way, you might notice something that stands out among the beachgoers, concert attendees, and diners along the coastal walk. Those delicious-looking waffle cones stuffed with sweet treats are called Puffles. They are conveniently located in the amphitheater plaza, right across from Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. I was there for the night with my boyfriend when we had first started dating. I actually think it may have been the first time we had ever gone anywhere alone together and it was only our second date. Gasp, scandalous. I digress... At Puffles, they serve Hong Kong egg waffles. These are also called Gai Dan Jai or "puffles". They are crispy on the outside, soft, sweet, and pillowy on the inside. These are rolled into a cone, and you can customize them with your choice of ice cream and toppings. But there is one menu item that I believe stands above all of the rest... Let me introduce you to a seriously addictive treat... the Caramel Delight. Here's the magic of Puffles Caramel Delight: A warm original egg waffle cone (they also offer chocolate waffle variations) -Stuffed with classic vanilla bean ice cream -Generously drizzled with sweet, rich caramel, cookie crumbs, and pokey sticks -Finished with optional toppings if you're feeling fancy The result is a combination of textures and flavors that feels indulgent and nostalgic--like childhood meets gourmet. This place is conveniently located by a vibely walking area, other cool spots, & near an affordable parking garage. Our waffle cones were amazing. The texture is different than American waffles. It taste more light & airy. The toppings were unique & I appreciated the options. We loved their cones & ice cream.
The taro soft-serve here is good! One of the better taro soft-serves that I have had. It is a bit pricey for what it is and the waffle isn't that good either. I ordered the sundae which is a bubble waffle in a cup, you can choose to fill it which your choice of soft-serve and you get three toppings. I paid 16 dollars for the sundae and a bottle of water. The service was quick, I received my order in less than 5 minutes. There is only seating inside and not much of it so don't expect to sit inside if it is busy.
I've always wanted to try this place and happened to have din across the street so I was finally able to. It was delish! Everything you want it to be. A fresh, warm waffle with a scoop of ice cream and delicious toppings. We had the ultimate chocolate which was exactly that, lots of chocolate. The employees were friendly and the place has several tables to sit. The only complaint is it is quite pricey- almost $14 for a half waffle and a single scoop of ice cream.
I absolutely love the puffed waffle ice cream cone trend! It is literally what my dreams are made of. There is just something so delicious about a warm, fresh waffle filled with ice cream. I always like to keep it simple with chocolate fudge brownie ice cream and the original waffle with no toppings. You can 100% go to the extreme and get a ton of toppings, as they have a huge selection. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was cool that you could watch them make the waffle as you ordered it. The spot is the perfect place to grab an ice cream and walk the pier! I dream about this almost daily and can't wait to make it back to get another!
From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by the sweet smell of waffles followed by staffs friendly smiles. Went with a safe choice this time but I highly suggest you venture out to their unique soft serve flavors, I'll be getting them next time. I was lucky enough to have gone while they were having a new years special where I was handed a red envelope for my next visit! See you soon
This was a quick stop while walking in the beach. The men up front at the pos were friendly & helpful. The bubble waffle was really good & fresh. The place was clean as well. The only thing that would make this better would be more flavors for the soft serve. They only had two flavors of soft serve. Overall this is a good place to visit & would come back if we are in the area.
This place needs no introduction- ice cream sundaes wrapped in a fluffy egg waffle are you kidding?! You can customize your sundae by picking your type of ice cream and three toppings. The waffle is absolutely delicious- way better than a waffle cone. Go here!! read more

This is a great place for unique ice cream, smoothie and boba teas if you happen to be at Hollywood Beach boardwalk. It's not far from Hollywood theater where they play live music. With ice cream, you get to pick your cone, or sundae. Their cone is actual waffles - original or chocolate. You get to pick one ice cream and 3 toppings. We got the original waffle with sea salt caramel ice cream with peanut butter chip, whip cream and oreo. It was big enough to share or if you are a dessert lover, you can eat by yourself. We also got one milk tea boba and it was very good. If you want a unique dessert, definitely recommend going here! read more

Good lord this place is delicious! I've had Puffles on my radar for some time, but we don't venture that far out east on the regular! Well, last night I finally made it there, and I don't think there's much that can stop me from going back! My husband had the Basic B and I had the Nutella Banana S'more. We both had zero intention of eating our entire HUGE ice cream, as we had just had a fantastic dinner in downtown Hollywood. I actually got a bit irritated when I saw the price- seemed high for "ice cream." However, each Puffle is a work of art certainly worth the price tag. It's perfect. I honestly can't use enough positive adjectives! The waffle adds the best texture and flavor to each bite! It was so good I ate it ridiculously fast.. next time I'll savor it more so I can give a more in depth review. Can't wait to come back! Think this is our official hot date night dessert spot. read more
I ordered mike tea and milk tea with coffee. 5** Does not expect a random place has good Hong Kong boba tea! This place is just perfect! I asked for 25% and he let me taste it before serving to me! Excellent customer service. AC inside and lots of spaces. Chair is not too comfortable. But I would love if they have Puffles in California! Milk tea taste! Just like home. Yum yum! Not sour, not just milk powder taste, real taste of brewed tea and touch of milk, not too much sugar! Chewing honey boba is soft yet right level of chewy. Dropped in with a friend after some bike riding on the beach and was craving a slush and some ice cream. Service was awesome and had a great selection of items. I didn't really expect to order bubble tea, but I decided to order the passion fruit slush with lychee jelly that was pretty refreshing and my friend ordered a pistachio ice cream with the signature original waffle cone! The ice cream was nice creamy and the waffle paired well and wasn't overly sweet. Perfect! For the three toppings options we chose mochi, graham cracker crumbs, and a caramel drizzle. It was an amazing treat and is definitely sharable. Not sure how anyone could eat one on their own! Definitely stop by if you're in the area, you won't regret it! read more
I had my mind made up from the beginning of what I wanted because I studied the menu like it was for finals lol. Due to all the amazing options I didn't wanna ruin my first experience, so I tried the original waffle, dulce de leche flavored ice cream, peanuts, and caramel drizzle. Trust me, you MUST try this combo. The ice cream itself is the perfect amount of sweet so the caramel topping didn't take it over the top. As for the waffle, it is soft yet there's a slight crisp, which is important because I walked to the broad walk to sit near the water and it wasn't soggy. Btw, they do have indoor and outdoor seating but I wanted to see closer to the water. I would go back in a heart beat. They were patient with my mom's million and one questions and made sure she was satisfied with her selection. Just an FYI, if you aren't sure where to park, it is right across the street from Margaritaville and the Johnson Street garage. A nice walk on the Hollywood beach boardwalk calls for a refreshing drink so my friend and I went to Puffles to check out the rave. They have ice cream Hong Kong styled with egg carton looking cones. We just got the boba which in my opinion tasted similar to the powdered milk teas, a bit too sweet and not fragrant enough. The boba is nothing super memorable but for an ice cream spot it's decent. Next stop I definitely will try the ice cream. My friend loved the Taro boba and said it was the best he has ever had. Puffles is newly opened in Hollywood beach, located right by Margaritaville on A1A. They offer bubble waffles and ice cream, teas, and slushes. These would make great treats after being in the sun at the beach. The waffles come in traditional (I guess you'd call it vanilla) or chocolate, and there are several ice cream flavors, toppings, and drizzles. I really enjoyed mine. The waffle was light and delicious. They're all made to order. My one complaint is the lack of parking, but that's not their fault. On weekends, parking here is impossible since they don't have a lot, so good luck! read more

This is for my visit just a few minutes ago 3/15/22. I came in to order a coke with half strawberry cheesecake and half coconut with the mochi, pocky stick and gummy bears. Well the lady who gave me my order gave me 80% chocolate topped over the 30% strawberry cheesecake which confused me. I didn't notice this until I was on my way home. I was not going to turn my suv around the bridge with the high cost of gas prices so I threw it out. I don't like chocolate ice cream at all so I had to throw it away. I'm disappointed because I was really looking forward to enjoying it. Instead I wasted gas and over $10. The pictures below are from my previous visits. read more

Located at the head of Hollywood beach (because the heart would be more towards the middle right? Lol) lies this wonderful gem. This place is conveniently located here. A perfect place to start your day or cool down. The sun at the beach could be grueling and unbearable at times and this place really shields you from all that. For one, they have bubble tea. Refreshing Asian milk or green tea drinks with any toppings that you desire. Check in to get a free topping! On top of that, they have puffy waffles and ice cream. Choose from one of their signatures, or make your own. We decided to get one of their signatures, the pocket full of sunshine. Which is basically an original waffle with strawberry ice cream, syrup, and pocky sticks. In addition, it is topped off with mini m&m's. I didn't think the m&m's went with it.. I'd prefer peanuts but overall it was still good. The original milk tea was probably their best drink as well. The matcha milk tea was a bit different tasting but still good according to my brother. Nice and wonderful staff. Great concepts, looking to add new things as well. We got a free Thai tea that's not on their menu yet but will be soon. Will be back if ever next to the beach... Finally a dessert place that offers my favorite ice cream flavor [red bean!] + childhood snack [egg waffles]. The server made the egg waffle the way I requested, extra crispy, just how Hong Kong street vendors make it. We went on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty quiet but went back again during the evening and the entire store was packed with customers. Would definitely coming back here on my next visit. read more

What a treat this place is!! Perfect place to satisfy your sweets craving on Hollywood beach. The service was great & sundae was delicious! I enjoyed the banana nutella sundae.The puffle is made fresh right in front of you & is the perfect addition to any order :) Highly recommend! read more
OVERALL: Yum. Yum. Yum. Definition of cheat day though...please don't tell me the calorie count on these! FOOD: The trendy Hong Kong Egg Waffle Cones aren't a new concept, but the uniqueness of their toppings and options definitely make it better. For their cones you're able to choose your cone type (we did one chocolate and one regular) your ice cream flavor of choice (we both did salted caramel) and 3 toppings each. I picked out mochi, peanut butter chips, and chocolate pocky. You can't go wrong because you're choosing all your own toppings! They even add little toppings inside of the ice cream (little chocolate caramel bites for our selection) so it isn't just a regular scoop of ice cream either. You definitely have to have a sweet tooth though! The waffle itself is subtly sweet and so airy and light to eat. PRICE: each cone comes out to $8.50/each so on the pricier side of ice cream desserts. It's easily splittable though if you're willing to share! (We were not) ATMOSPHERE: Seems like a hole in the wall place with not a ton of seating but very clean and have designated spots for you to take your photos of your ice cream before it all melts in the Florida heat. SERVICE: Everyone was patient and kind, and so fast with making our orders. I think it took about 2 minutes from order to hand! read more
Wednesday night dinner choice...this is such a yummy treat! Choose your flavor of waffle, ice cream and 3 toppings. The waffle was amazing! The combos are endless. It was $8.50 per treat, so not cheap, especially for one scoop of ice cream but so worth it as a treat. Highly recommend. read more

Just found this place and OMG it's my favorite now. I'm not even a sweet person but I finish this entire waffle cone. The employees were so nice When I got there there was a long line but it moved so quickly. The workers all work together so I think that's really nice, once you get there you'll see what I mean. read more

I was craving ice cream than I remembered this place closest to my home. The reviews were great so definitely need to check this place out. First off the only way to go here is you have to pay to park. I parked across the street at Margaritaville at $4. an hour ouch. Than I cross the street and I enter the doors not really knowing what to expect. So the associate behind the counter explained that you choose a waffle flavor cone. There is three flavors original, chocolate and pumpkin. Than you chose soft serve she gave me a sample of the taro and matcha. But no I want hard ice cream I look at the flavors in the case was going to get pistachio when the associate told me that the most popular was the NY cheesecake and the salted caramel the longer I looked I realized the brand they serve is San Bernardo, yikes I pass and get the soft serve. The matcha original cone with three toppings fruity pebbles, chocolate jimmies and peanuts. The waffle cone was still warm freshly made. What I ordered was a 5. Paying to park and I prefer a small batch hard ice cream takes them to a 4. Definitely would come back preferably when I am already at the beach. read more

I made my own waffle - original waffle with a combo of ube and matcha as the icecream. Topped with gummy bears and a matcha pocky stick. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I would definitely come back. Only thing I wish was more parking spaces available in the area. I ended up having to pay to check this place out but it's okay. It was still very delicious and the staff are friendly. There are many ways to customize it but if you feel overwhelmed by the options, there are preñare ones you can choose from. They also sell bubble tea and icecream too if you're not into the waffle. read more

Steps from Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk, Puffles serves boba tea made from freshly brewed tea and eye pleasing Hong Kong style egg waffles filled with ice cream and toppings. The waffles are freshly baked and more like a breakfast waffle than a traditional waffle cone. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and breaks apart easily with a spoon. You can choose your ice cream filling and fun toppings like mochi and strawberry pocky along with more traditional toppings. They also serve boba tea soft serve and boba tea. We opted for signature creations basic b waffle cone and boba softserve swirl of match and taro to share with 2 adults and 2 kids that was enough for us to share. Kids loved the crispy soft waffle cone. We liked that the waffle cone and ice cream were not overly sweet. We would like to try boba tea next as the desserts were really good. read more

We saw this place on Yelp and were like "yeah right, 5 stars". Then we went. They should get 6 stars. The service was great. The ice cream was perfection, silky smooth and light. You think the waffles will over kill the ice cream, not at all. The pricing is just right. I highly recommend this place to anyone. My recommendation as to what to order, get the "Surprise Me". They pick what they want and surprise you with it. Excellent choice. Can't go wrong with any of their selections. Last but not least, DO NOT perforate the waffle/ice cream holder because then you'll get too happy and end up breaking the bottom and get the melted ice cream all over your shirt and pants!!! read more
Really great dessert and ice cream joint. Loved their soft serve! Came in a few weeks ago and was so excited to try this place out. It was on my list for forever and I love Hong Kong style waffles. We tried to build our own puffle and it was amazing. The chocolate puffle flavor was rich and had the right texture, and the salted caramel ice cream we topped it off with was just as good; an excellent blend of sweet and salty. I was super excited to try their special soft serve flavors. I got the thai tea and earl gray swirl with boba as a topping. I LOVED the thai tea flavor. It captured the right flavors while translating well into ice cream. I have to say that I didn't love the earl gray. I thought it tasted a bit powdery?? somehow. This. Place!! I am drooling still! This was so delicious and unlike anything I've ever had! I chose the original cone with vanilla icecream, fruit pebbles, m&ms and strawberry pokey sticks! My boyfriend got the original with dulce de leche icecream, graham crackers, marshmallows and whipped cream. Both were A M A Z I N G ! The cone was my favorite part, very fluffy and light and I loved it!! The staff seemed to be very clean, they were wearing masks and gloves. I felt very safe and felt that my dessert was taken care of as well. I definitely can't wait to try a different flavor out! read more

Definitely a twist on waffles and ice cream and I'm here for it! The place was pretty easy to find and right next to Margaritavilles parking garage. The place itself is really clean and the employees were really nice. Coming down to the waffles and ice cream...delicious! I personally love ice cream(who doesn't?) and this place is legit. The ice cream is really rich and the waffles are actually made with care in terms of ingredients and taste(so they don't taste manufactured or frozen). What's also awesome is you're in walking distance of the beach boardwalk so you can also take a stroll if you'd like. Definitely a place to visit if you're nearby. read more

Visited a little bit before this whole shelter in place thing but just getting to write this review now in quarantine. I passed by a couple months ago with a few of my friends when we were wandering Hollywood Beach.I did the custom creation which allows you to select your flavor waffle, ice cream and toppings. I'm a green tea fanatic so I opted for their matcha waffle with green tea ice cream, topped with whipped cream, honey granola, condensed milk and green tea pocky. It was delicious! read more
