I can't bring myself to give a bad review because I've been coming to this place and as earlier location on US one in Dania since 1988. The ice cream is not even all that great but they have the best french fries in Broward County French Canadians come from miles around for the poutine, and the toasty hotdog are a guilty pleasure. However, today and last week, I was very disappointed when I came here because there's an item on the menu, spaghetti with meat sauce that I've been ordering as a takeout for ages twice in the world. It hasn't been available. The cashier confessed they haven't had it in a while. When I questioned him since the ingredients are not exactly blocked up in the straits of Hormuz, he said they didn't have the pasta noodles. There is one of the True bargains for food with super inexpensive pricing. The manager needs to send somebody's ass to the grocery store or even GFS and buy some goddamn spaghetti or they're gonna lose a customer of nearly 40 years. read more

We got two hard ice creams and a scoop of soft serve ice cream. They were just as ice cream should be : cold and delicious! Each worker was so kind and talkative, you don't find that much in South Florida. I highly recommend this ice cream shop. And it's super cute with its lights and patio seating. We love this place but their hours say they are open until 11 PM. We go at 10:44 PM and they say they only serve ice cream. They will not serve anything from the food area. Looking for a hot dog place near Dania beach I came upon this magical place near by. I love it has indoor , outdoor seating. Upon entering they have a full ice cream section in addition offering hot dogs , hamburgers & more. The place reminds me of all the fun foods of yesterday a good shake & burger. We ordered the chili dog, toasted regular dog & the chicago dog... yummy! It has tomatos & onions, side pickle, all those flavors bursting together, surprisingly good! To top it off we ordered a black & white shake and I had the frozen coffee frappe, with a hint of chocolate syrup suggested by one of the employees, Wow soooo delish! We're locals and we love this place but Friday evening was disappointing. Place was not overly busy. Two hot dogs and two cheeseburgers took nearly 30 minutes? At the 20 minute mark I went to check on food and was only told they were making ours next. No explanation or apology. Another 10 minutes went up to get our food. They pour delicious brown gravy (poutine) over a bed of Fries and add tasty pieces of cheese! They have a bunch of Canadian favorites that are all drenched in gravy. Its definitely not as crowded, they don't make there own ice cream, and they don't have the same variety. But, they do have Nestlé icecream. They did have a pretty decent selection, except I wish they would have had butter scotch bomb. I did have peanut butter and vanilla in a waffle cone and I enjoyed every bit of it. They use chopped up mozzarella.The grave is flavorless it was so disappointing I can't even begin to tell you. Even with terrible cheese the ratio of cheese to fries was way overwhelming on the cheese side compared to normal traditional poutine. The gravy was flavorless. The steamé was a cheap hot dog that you could do better yourself at home and the Chicago dog wasn't even close to the real thing. No one did a quality check to see how we were doing and how the food was. You can get better poutine in Vancouver. Or probably anywhere else in Canada. Their new location is very nice! They have an expanded menu and have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is part of their building and covered so you don't have to worry if the weather is bad. If you check in, you can get a free small ice cream cone which we got a vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles. I got the Tornado (which is like a Blizzard) with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cups. The ice cream was soooo creamy and I couldn't believe how much peanut butter cups were in there! Visited their new location on Friday night around 930PM. I wanted to grab a late night dinner. They were open until 10PM and the kitchen closes 15 minutes before. I was able to order a chicken sandwich, fries and an oreo milkshake. The chicken sandwich was average and the fries had no taste to them at all. I wouldn't suggest coming here for actual food as in dinner but definitely a must go to spot for ice cream. My oreo milkshake was fabulous as always. Since this restaurant moved to the strip center and is no longer in the old stand alone building, they really should start all their reviews over again. This is like being in a new restaurant, except for a similar menu. Everything is spanking new. They have inside seating and a partially open air porch area. You order food at one counter and ice cream at another. We only came for dessert -- and a cup of soft serve mixed chocolate and vanilla. You can only get cups now, because they don't want people wandering around without their masks off, as they might do if munching on a cone. That was fine with me -- I prefer a cup. The ice cream was great -- as creamy as ever, but I really miss the old building. I miss the camaraderie of sitting at big tables with all the French speaking people. I miss someone nearby eating poutine or a strange to me dish that I never would have tried had I not seen it. I miss the casualness of the old place. The restaurant reminiscent of childhood places growing up in New England. The rundown wooden building; the handwritten signs; the mix of cultures and people; the tourists and the regulars; the hub bub. I feel like something got lost in the translation of the move. Went here for ice cream this weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it is inside. Three separate areas to eat, two inside, and one open to the outdoors. Furniture and decor are really fresh and modern. Staff here was friendly. We picked the hard Cappacino ice cream and a large chocolate dipped vanilla. Their ice cream prices are a bit pricey...over $4 for a single scoop, and over $6 for a large dipped cone...but the flavors were outstanding. An unexpected find. I was vacationing in the Dania/ Hollywood area looking for a late dessert. I know all about Jaxson's, but didn't want to deal with the long line and high prices. I had a tornado with M&M's, and I'm glad I got the smaller size, since it was plenty big enough. The ice cream was thick and toppings were plenty.
