I wanted to get two new windows installed in my house, and had received a quote that seemed high, but not insane; I think it was somewhere north of $15K total for a very large custom picture window, and a smaller (but still fairly large), standard-sized slide-open window. I shopped around for some other quotes and came across Seattle Glass and Window in the process. Their quote? Less than $10K with tax. I decided to trust their high reviews and went with them. I'm so glad I did -- they did SUCH a good job. They worked with me to match the trim, to plan the window installation, and to rapidly place the order and get it shipped. On the day of installation, they got both windows installed over the course of a standard business day; I think they were in my home from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Truly, they work like ants. So efficient, friendly, and effective. On top of that, they did a phenomenal clean up. During the day of installation, they cut the trim in my side yard, and generated some saw dust in the process. We had to have 31 double pane windows (including a slider) replaced in our home because the seals had failed in all of them. Additionally, we purchased 3 new storm doors and had 15 window screens repaired. Mehrdad showed up at our house on time to make the initial estimate and a half an hour after he left, Shirin provided us with a quote that was much less than we expected and which we agreed to immediately. Our old windows were clear glass so Mehrdad recommended Low-E (low-emissivity) windows which minimize the amount of infrared and ultraviolet light that comes through the glass without minimizing the amount of light that enters the house (and we can already tell that our home is cooler inside on hot days and warmer inside on cold days). Two days later, Mehrdad returned to our house with Shirin to take accurate window measurements before ordering them. Seven days later, Mehrdad, his assistant, and Shirin removed and replaced the storm doors. Two days after that, Mehrdad and his assistant came to our house in the mid-morning, working into the early evening, and they removed and replaced all of the windows in one day! During their very efficient installation process, Mehrdad was always willing to answer our questions or explain what he was doing and why. He wanted to be sure that we were happy with the end results and before they left, we walked around the interior and exterior of our house to inspect their work - which we were extremely satisfied with.
