I walked into the Poplar Location. Now for me, my experience was great. I am a return customer. I was looking for a dozen long stem red roses for a birthday. And I got exactly that, also, which included some other orange flowers all together in the arrangement. Really Pretty. Really fresh. The recipient was pleased. The staff this morning was friendly and welcoming.

    What i thought I bought

I wish I had seen these yelp reviews before sending my dear friend who recently had a lot of heartache with loss of young child and her car totaled by a reckless driver. She needed all the encouragement she could get. I had selected a bouquet that looked stunning, a mix of cheer and beauty! What was delivered looked very sad, that was a mix of disappointment and sloppiness. The only good thing about the $200 box of flowers were they smelled good. Do NOT recommend using them. They should be embarrassed for delivering such a poor bunch of flowers.

Wow - I actually came to post a negative review from my recent mother's day experience 2022, to find that I'd written a draft negative review from 10 years ago. Never posted. I was complaining about the brown petals on the flowers I ordered, that the bouquet looked old, and the poor (slow and rude) customer service. Ten years later... I couldn't be more unhappy with Pugh's. In fairness, I know there are different locations, and the first one I called (901) 363-6233/405-6672 were friendly and immediately tried to resolve the problem of having sent the wrong bouquet to my mother on mother's day. They said they'd give me a 50% refund. But then my mother found a dead flower in the bouquet. I called again to request a full refund. However, I called (901) 682-2501 and recieved a totally different kind of treatment. I said to them that I was appalled that in my attempt to repair my relationship with my mother, that I would send her flowers on mother's day that were not only the wrong bouquet, but also had a dead flower in it. The associate I spoke with, "Karen," answered rudely, "well you still got flowers" and "you're still getting a 50% refund" and didn't care a lick about the message that a dead flower given to a mother on mother's day could symbolize. I actually had to convince her that this is extremely poor service on all fronts, that I did not pay $50-something for this bouquet or for a dead flower, and had to demand a 100% refund. She finally said that Pugh's will give me the full refund. I was afraid that even though Karen said this, that she would ignore the situation. So I let the associate I spoke with initially know, and she apologized and has said she'll make sure it's sorted. That's good customer service, unlike Karen! Guess Pugh's hasn't changed, still s***.

I ordered flowers and had them sent to my wife's workplace. The staff was friendly and helpful and the flowers were beautiful. I received a text letting me know when the flowers were delivered. My wife loved them.

I received a beautiful arrangement for Valentine's Day from my husband. I love the way they deliver the vase in a box so you can transport the arrangement without it falling over. One bad thing, they left the price tag on!!! What????!!!!!!

Does this look like it is worth $350. This looks nothing like the photo that was submitted to use as a sample. This is unacceptable!!!

DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! She took advantage of my elderly mother who ordered a flower arrangement for a family member's funeral on behalf of our family. We paid $350 for an floral arrangement and it was horribly done not worth the money we paid. We asked for a banner to be placed on the arrangement and we were told we would need to pay more money - we can't get a banner for $350. Check out the photo and let me know your thoughts!

The apology one has to deliver when Pugh's is far too incompetent to deliver an order a mile away from their shop.

They are willing to do deliveries or you can set up an appt before or after hours to shop by yourself and pay over the phone to avoid all social interaction. So grateful to have the ability to do something while social distancing. Thank you Millstone!

I've spent nearly $1,000 at Millstone Nursery, but after what happened today, I will never…read morereturn--and I strongly warn others to stay away. About three weeks ago, I purchased a tree-form David Austin rose from this nursery for nearly $100. The day I brought it home, I noticed early signs of black spot disease on several leaves. I immediately planted it in a high-quality grow bag, pruned the diseased foliage, and treated it with copper fungicide. I've cared for it meticulously ever since. Despite all efforts, the rose continued to deteriorate--no new growth, no viable buds, and even some grafted stems fell off, clearly indicating structural and physiological issues with the plant. This was not caused by neglect. It was a sick plant from the start. Today I brought it back to the nursery--not to demand, but to request help or even a replacement. What I received was hostility. The owner told me that "bringing back plants like this could kill everything in our nursery," and insisted I take it away immediately. She literally told me "don't bring it inside, take it away, you're going to contaminate us." We were treated as if we were carrying biological weapons, not seeking a fair resolution. When I pointed out that the plant had shown signs of disease almost immediately, I was told "all our plants are guaranteed disease-free," and that any issue must be "your fault, because you planted it." I was also told that unless they had planted the rose for me, they offered no guarantee or support whatsoever. This is not how responsible nurseries treat loyal customers. Even big box stores like Lowe's and Home Depot offer a 1-year plant guarantee--Millstone, by contrast, hides behind a "Final Sale" policy while pushing diseased plants at premium prices, then refuses to take accountability when problems arise. I love gardening. I treat my plants with care, knowledge, and deep respect. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect honesty and basic decency. What I got instead was arrogance, evasion, and disrespect. Avoid this place. They sell expensive plants with no accountability, and if anything goes wrong, they'll blame you. If you value your money, your time, and your dignity--go elsewhere.
