Same week saw item at Target for $35.99…read more Today- July 25, Walmart refuses to give price adjustment on an item purchased within return policy because it was said to me by sales associate " we have to pay shipping"- we who? The company or the customer; well did Target pay the $10 shipping. So I could then use $10 in gas driving back to get the item , return it to Walmart promptly and purchase what I desired at Target. I'm not pushing to promote Target, but yet buyers compare shop before on line or store ( I like stores) purchases. Buyers beware: Wal-mart has raised its prices on majority - 90% of their products sold by as much as 45% since in less than 8 months .

Walmart is conveniently located near the Līhuʻe Airport, which was my first stop coming into the island. I was intrigued by the idea of browsing and purchasing a good variety of Hawaiian snacks. I was truly impressed by the offerings, such as Milk Chocolate Island Macs, Hawaiian Sun drinks, Kauaʻi Coffee, Maui Style Potato Chips, Hawaiian 3D candy, and much more. The store was well-stocked and easy to navigate. In the afternoon, the inside was very busy with many shoppers, which is understandable since this is the only Walmart on the island of Kauaʻi. The parking lot had plenty of spaces, making parking easy and stress-free. I also noticed roosters roaming around; how adorable! I will definitely be returning to this Walmart location. I plan to pick up more snacks and souvenirs that I don't normally find back home in California, or in most parts of the U.S., for that matter.

I picked up a dreamy maxi dress tie-dyed the colors of seaglass. The shopkeep is friendly and has a good eye for fashion. The t-shirts at least look like they will last for a long time to come. This location in particular is larger and has a better selection than the Hanalei store, so it's worth a stop. As we walk in, I'm explaining to her the story "we bought & lost 2 necklaces from here & ended up buying duplicates on Etsy b/c I felt so bad." The lady who works there (I'm sure the owner) says "you lost 2 necklaces here 2 months ago? Hold on a second...." PULLS OUT 2 BOXES. In my head I'm like "no, no, this is not real, you're mistaken, this is someone else's box." But NO! IT WAS OUR 2 NECKLACES! Someone from downstairs found them & brought them back up to the store. They kept them for 2 months! Even though he paid cash. Most people would have taken the $100 & resold them. Free money. But this owner did not. The integrity of this store is such a rarity in this day & age. A true, honest, kind gem! They are just good people. I will always come back here when I go to Kauai.
