Either they don't blend the smoothie well enough and you get ice grits, or they blend the smoothie too much and you get watery juice with very little ice remaining. But not here! They perfectly blended my smoothie to the point where it was silky smooth while still retaining a frozen consistency. On top of that, the smoothie was extremely dense and packed with fruit. Overall, I would highly recommend BE Smoothie. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be a place I would regularly visit.

I got the mixed soft serve base of strawberry acai and peach soft serve. It had melted by the time I got to it as it was on the bottom. #life of a slow eater Then I got to choose 3 fruits. I chose banana slices, strawberries, and pineapple. As for the crunchy toppings, I got half and half of birthday cake granola (yes) and oreos (yes yes)! Then had honey as my drizzle. They were VERY generous with the honey! My creation looked gorgeous! I went and ate it quickly in their upstairs seating space and dealt with a little bit of a sugar crash later in the day! I wish they had some healthier crunchy and drizzle topping options! And my strawberry slices were still a bit frozen. But overall, I loved my lunch from The Fruit Salad. I politely answered her question and reminded her that it's on the order ticket that prints right next to her. Then it took her 15 minutes to make it, after consulting other arriving employees. At least she was having a good time talking to her friends on the other side of the counter while I'm standing there waiting. This place is simply no longer worth the trouble or hassle. I won't be back after today and I recommend you don't either unless you have plenty of time to kill. I expect this place to close permanently at this rate.

I've been to Piada several times over the years, and the staff has always been kind, and the menu offers plenty of variety. But my issue is the flavor. The sides--like the pockets, Piada sticks, and garlic dough--are packed with flavor and honestly really good. The pasta sauces, though, feel like they're missing something. They used to taste richer when I first started coming here, but over time they've gotten increasingly bland. It's a little disappointing, especially for an Italian spot, even a "fast Italian" one. I'd still recommend Piada if you're just craving a quick pasta fix, but I'd keep expectations in check when it comes to bold flavors--unless you pair your meal with one of their sides.
