Love coming to pulp! They have great smoothies and the staff is very kind. They do have a drive thru but I find it faster to order inside.

Great place to grab a freshly made smoothie or a quick bite to eat. Pulp uses all fresh ingredients- none of that processed "smoothie" concoction you find at other places. They have a great variety of smoothies to choose from, plus they offer some specialties (such as pumpkin the fall). You can add a "booster" to your smoothie free of charge. Personally, I think "boosters" (with the exception of protein) are a load of crock. I highly doubt adding a "Fat Burning Booster" to my smoothie is going to make me thin. The smoothies taste great, but some can be VERY sweet because they're made with a few different fruit juices. I personally prefer the soy milk or yogurt based smoothies. In addition to smoothies, they offer a limited selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches, but I have yet to try those. read more

Pulp is a long time favorite of mine from my days at Kent State, and this is the closest location to me now that I live in Cleveland. I often go out of my way to make a stop on my way up/down Route 8 between the Akron/Cleveland area. The service at this location is always quick and friendly, and while the decor could use some more attention, it's always clean. My favorite at Pulp? A Mango Bomb! Came here for a drink and they had the music blasting so loud you could hear it outside and couldn't even hear when you talked to the girl. Yes the smoothie was good but it was highly unprofessional and the girl wasn't mopping and the floor was soaking wet I almost slipped. I understand that restaurants are not legally required to provide this information if they lack a certain number of operating locations, but with a purported message of health and wellness this seems like a no-brainer. Pulp is my favorite place to get a smoothie--none others compare. When I lived in Kent, I came here ALL the time. So many flavors and options to choose from depending on what you are in the mood for (Samma Jamma is my all time favorite) The enhancers options are all really great too and give Pulp a unique edge on other smoothie joints. I was really skeptical about this juice and smoothie bar, but I was really surprised. My girlfriend and I have been meaning to check it out, and last time we were in, we finally got to. The lady behind the counter was very nice and very understanding about how we've never ordered anything from a juice bar before and had no idea what some things meant. We got our gigantic morning smoothies and we were very happy about the size compared to price. Plus, they were delicious! I love the smoothies and the wraps. I eat at Pulp 1-2 times a week for lunch. However, I wish they were organic and offered nutrition information for food. (Nutrition is only offered for smoothies) I don't eat peanut butter or granola from here because they use Jiffy peanut butter and Quaker oats. Great quality smoothies, but terrible service. I'm a student at Kent State and it's very convenient to go to this location. However, every time I walk in there lacks a welcoming feel and the staff seems less than happy to help me. I feel there is also a lack of supervision thus as a result there seems to be only two girls taking care of the place. Zero care for customer service. I'd rather drive all the way to Stow and go to Robeks. That place knows what it takes to run a proper business. read more
