I am always down to try new tea rooms so I was excited! Upon entering, I was met with a smell reminiscent of my grandparents' old house. Now I love them dearly but this is not something I want to be smelling when I am eating lunch. The decor inside was also very old fashioned and borderline tacky, but it also had a nice old school charm which did not bother me too much. It was tiny in there and my friend and I were the youngest people here by at least 20-30 years. That was fine, but I definitely think this place is patronized more by the older locals in Ravenna. Now for the important part, the food and drinks! The drink menu was very confusing to say the least. It was branded as a "tea room" but they don't even list the tea flavors! I really think this is more of a cafe, not a tea room. We settled on raspberry iced teas and while they were refreshing, there was nothing really special about them, tasted like the powdered tea mix you can buy at the store. The food menu consisted of sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts. I had a chicken salad atop a bed of greens with pineapples, walnuts, and ranch dressing and same with a mini muffin on the side. It was tasty but the portion was rather smaller than I am used to. The dessert was also yummy, a lemon meringue pie!! My friend also got a chicken and mandarin oranges salad and a mint chocolate chip ice cream pie for dessert. She liked it as well but also commented on the small portions. All the specials on the board contained mushrooms or tuna or mayo, which just isn't my thing so that had nothing going for me. I really was expecting a lot more coming into this, seeing as though I've been to a lot of proper tea rooms and this just wasn't it for me. The food was all tasty but it lacked a "wow" factor. It's alright if you're looking for a cheap lunch or taking a grandma out, but I wouldn't go out of my way to drive here again and I don't think I personally would return at all. Also this is a super no frills operation so it's cash only, be prepared for that if you come here. I wish them luck though because the lady serving and the cook came out to talk to us and they were both very nice and friendly and seems like they have a solid local regular client base.

It may be a good place to study, they have guest wifi but you must ask for the password. The service is very good, the ladies are nice and make you feel as if you're at your grandmother's house for lunch. Great hospitality. If you're alone the waitresses will likely talk to you to make you feel more welcome. It's much appreciated. The raspberry iced tea is cool and refreshing. The coffee is served in wonderful little antique teacups. It's like you're having a tea party as a little girl again. Really good about refilling your coffee. The chicken noodle soup was warm, filling, and delicious. You can tell its homemade instead of from a can. The blueberry muffin was fine, nothing to write home about. Likely from a store purchased bunch. The fruit was a little less than expected. When the waitress mentioned that fruit came with the meal, I thought a fruit cup, not 1/16th of an orange. It was at least a juicy orange. The quiche was very good. I love broccoli and cheese and had a nice bit of both in every bite. The bread was moist and crumbly. A little more cheese wouldn't hurt ;) For dessert I had the banana cream pie and absolutely loved it. It's like southern banana pudding with vanilla wafers but in cheesecake form. I should have gotten a piece to go! I hope to bring my girlfriends to this place. It's a great environment to talk and bond with friends over delicious food, or to go alone to sip on some tea and coffee and relax.

She has a lot of unusual flavors like buckeyes and strawberry wedding cake and peach melba and German chocolate and almond and birthday cake which even has a smiley face on it ! And some of them are seasonal flavors so you won't get bored here. They do have different specials different days of the week and Friday as I write this you can pick six of any flavors you would wanna mix and match and it is $10 out the door . Yes, they do take cash or plastic . (not all small businesses do, because of the extra fees which at this point is 3% that they take out of the small business - which is just evil in my opinion , so please try to pay cash if you can and help out our local vendors.) They also have cookies and cake pops, and they have some little doggy cupcakes as well . The cupcakes are about the same size as the muffins that you would see for sale at a supermarket . They do also have the little mini kind that are two bites in size. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to find once you realize it's a standalone small building . Nothing flashy.

However their tandoori chicken was very good and worth the price alone. The gentlemen working showed us some recommendations to eat the food how they would which was nice to learn a bit of their culture and style. Looks wise it was fine. It was clean but nothing notable to look at. I want to say it was $20 a person but I didn't pay attention when paying. They had free strawberry lassi when we went.

The booths were cozy and the entire restaurant looks well-cleaned and taken care of. Between two of us we ordered tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala, as well as garlic naan and rice. I got a masala tea to drink and a mango lassi before leaving. All the food was DELICIOUS! Comparable to my favorite Indian restaurants back home in Los Angeles and unique in its flavor. We ate every last bite of food. The tandoori chicken was flavorful and juicy, the chicken tikka masala was rich and paired perfectly with the rice and naan. The garlic naan was also excellent, just the right blend between soft, pillowy, and crispy on the edges. Just overall a wonderful meal and if I lived in Kent I'd go as often as my wallet would allow.
