    Their famous octopus app

I cannot express how good this place was. Stayed a week and ate here every day. Amazing service, decor and of course the Octopus to die for. The filet with a Spanish red wine demi topped with foie gras, just yum!

Definitely a good place for a business team dinner. From the outside you wouldn't guess it since it has a very small front. But once inside the whole place opens up. The service was very friendly and the fresh pulpo a la brassa was excellent!

Excelent service and food, mostly seafood but also some meats to choose from. Fresh ingredients and reasonable prices, must try their specialty

We made a reservation for 4 on a Wednesday night at 945pm and was seated right away. The restaurant had good decor and the waiter was very attentive. We decided to order a few different dishes to share. My favorites so far would be the pulpo a la gallega, croquetas de jamón, scallops and flan de queso for dessert. One of the dishes came with a green pepper called pimientos del padrón. Usually most of the peppers taste fine but if you're lucky, you might occasionally get one that's very spicy. According to an online study, it's a 1 in 10 chances and I happen to land on that! It's a fun way to eat the peppers with friends I would say. Overall, it's great service in a nice location with amazing food at an affordable price. Between the 4 of us, we had 3 waters, a soda, a beer, 5 tapas and 3 desserts, the bill came up to be about 131 euros.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

"I came for tapas, I left engaged to a prawn" Let me start…read moreby saying: Cañete does not serve food. Cañete serves emotional experiences with a side of jamón. I walked in expecting a nice quiet dinner. I left having made direct eye contact with a "Red Prawn" that the menu literally WARNS you about ("Watch out for the red prawn that gets in at eight"). Sir, I did not come here to be threatened by seafood. And yet -- worth every one of the 31,85€ per 100 grams. That prawn has more main character energy than most Netflix leads. The waiter recommended the Hand Cut Bellota Ham (1 portion, 32,40€), and I want to be clear: I did not order ham, I entered a relationship. Slow-cut, deeply personal, mildly judgmental of my previous life choices before I met it. We also tried the "Callos" Tripe with chickpeas, which my husband described as "what if a Sunday afternoon nap had a flavor." 10/10, would nap-eat again. Do NOT sleep on the Lobster Croquette with their "secret ingredient." I asked the waiter what the secret ingredient was and he just smiled the way men in Barcelona smile when they know something about jamón that you don't. The desserts menu is written entirely IN CAPS LOCK, presumably because the Cuban Chocolate Stick with Salt (8,85€) needs to be SHOUTED, not spoken. Respect. Only complaint: the Steamed Cockles with Citrus are 25,55€, which is a bold financial decision for a shellfish, but honestly at this point I trust Cañete's pricing more than my own bank. Would I go back? I already have a standing reservation with the Red Prawn for next Tuesday at eight. He knows what he did. Five stars. Bring stretchy pants and low expectations for your wallet.

Wow, this meal was so good I literally made another reservation after we left. This place might be…read moreadvertised as a tapas restaurant, but it's much more than that. The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!
