We've been itching to bring Pump & Splash back to our home. My son is two years older than he was the last time we used them (he's 6 years old now) so I wasn't sure if it was going to be the mega hit it was last time. The kids went absolutely wild for the pumps. Wet screams of delight for hours, and I got many thank yous from parents for the quick bedtime routines that night. Not only is the product fun, but Nick, who delivered everything was incredibly nice, and the family that makes these products is wonderful. I used Pump n Splash for my son's 3rd birthday party - in the summer, with 20+kids coming to my front yard for a party, kids ranging in age from 1-7, and all of their families coming as well. I wanted something fun that the kids could do in our big front yard, something that ALL of the kids would want to participate in without costing a fortune or resorting to a cheesy clown, animal show, or big spectacle. I am one of those moms who always vacillates between wanting to throw a good party, but not becoming an "over the top" showy, scary caricature of a mom going overboard for a child's party....hard to do in this crazy parenting time. I was so pleasantly surprised by the success of Pump n Splash that I feel compelled to write a review here (which I rarely do). It was absolutely PERFECT for a summer kids party. My 1 year old loved it just as much as my 3 year old birthday boy - several hand pumping water displays (tubs, tubes, buckets, manual waterfalls, etc.) arrived on time and the owners took the time to ask me where I wanted each of the 4 water features on the lawn before setting them up. I put two under sun canopies, and spaced them all apart...three hours later I found myself with a chance to actually catch up with all of my adult friends while their kids played safely in front of us. The children were so engrossed in enjoying each feature that they barely needed us - this is not the luxury "parenting break" I usually get to have when I go to toddler/preschool parties! I was even impressed that the kids were lining up to take turns - even my 1 year old! -- without fighting over whose turn it was. I would def. recommend getting at least 3 -4 features, because this allows enough variety for the kids to never get bored. I asked the owner how the company started - she is a mom of two boys, like me, and had taken the boys to Portland, OR where they visited the children's museum and water features there. She said her boys were so engrossed that they played for hours..and her husband said he thought he could make mini-features at home for them to play with. Apparently, it worked, and he made several and then their idea was born. The portable water features are attractive and very well-maintained (they are brightly painted yellow and red and look brand new - I saw no rust, broken parts, etc. anywhere). Would highly recommend this as a non-intrusive entertainment alternative to clowns, ponies, trains, and all of the other gimmicks out there for kids parties! It is simple, affordable, fun, and creative for the kids. Educational as well - they get to learn about gravitational pull, pulley systems, and cause and effect all at the same time. One note: DEFINITELY warn parents ahead of time to have their children wear swimsuits/bring change of clothes, and offer courtesy towels....I asked the owner if the kids would all get wet, and she said "not necessarily" - which I came to understand meant it depended upon how active and excited your kids are. Mine got soaked - but loved every minute of it! Anyway, I thought I was clear in my Evite, but I guess the name "Pump n Splash" still wasn't explicit enough and some parents didn't realize how wet the kids can get!! I ended up loaning some clothes. towels, all in the name of good fun. It all depends upon the rambunctiousness of the kids, but overall, this is a fun, WET party that the kids LOVED. Will be booking again for this year. One extra bonus: it watered my grass for the week. :) The owners came back exactly when they said they would - I wasn't even home, and the pumps were picked up without a trace that they had been there. read more

Just booked pump and splash for 21 kids ages 2-8 last weekend. The bulk of kids fell in the 3-5 range. They absolutely loved it! It was a great use of water on a hot day. Way better than a sprinkler that needs to be constantly running to have fun and waaaay less water than a pool. Plus the whole fear factor that comes with pool parties was not there...though we all still need to be vigilant regardless, it was far and away more relaxing for the adults on duty. Highly recommend. I was lucky enough to win a Pump and Splash party at an auction I attended. I knew how amazing it was since I saw pics from an acquaintance's party so I put all my tickets in one bucket. Aileen was nothing but helpful in scheduling and to my surprise I was able to pick my own times, I was expecting to have time blocks to choose from. The young lady who came to setup was on time and walked us through how to work all the pumps. The party was a raging success, I had well over fifteen 2 year olds and they all went crazy for the pumps (as did the parents). read more

LOVE Pump and Splash. We've been to three friends' Pump & Splash parties and had one for our son's 3rd birthday. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Preschoolers love waterplay, and Pump & Splash will occupy them for hours moving, experimenting, discovering, and playing. The owners are friendly and helpful. We rented all six water toys for our twin 2-year-olds' birthday party and the toys were such a huge hit with the kids!!!! We had lots of kids ranging in ages from 2 -16 years old and literally every single kid played with the toys (even the teenagers!). They especially enjoyed the toys called Racer, Tipper, and Fountainhead. Booking with Pump and Spalsh was super easy and the woman who set up the actual equipment showed up on time and set everything up herself.
