We had so much fun at the Easter egg hunt/jump. The timed event wasn't overly crowded and priced just right. We had open jump time and access to both bounce rooms. They also provided tattoos, a visit from the Easter bunny, refreshments, cake, a meat and cheese platter and fruit. The Easter egg hunt was fun with trinkets and tattoos inside the eggs (no candy). My kids and I came here for a small party. We were in a party room that had two sections. Both sections had the same exact bounce houses. When we walked in there was a bounce house only for crawlers. Bext they have one bounce house for walkers. In the pack theybhave a mega blow up slide. They have one obstacle course but I feel like that is more for older kids because my kids are almost 2 and they couldnt use that one. They also had thing little bowling pit thing in the back. Overall the kids did have fun. Make sure you have socks for yourself too. I made the mistake of not wearing and had to pay but it is super cheap anyway. They do have some balls and little tikes cars too. read more

Personally, as a 40 yr old woman, I'm not a fan of these type of place. Unfortunately, as a mother of 5 little off springs, they are all HUGE fans of this place. Which means from time to time, on a rainy day or like today, as a birthday celebration I cave and bring them here. Listen, with 5 littles, places like this can cost an arm and a leg, get the 10 bounce passes for $75! They are good for multiple kids, not just one, and they never expire. They are good for any open jump and good for the whole time. Stay and jump for hours, til your kids are dripping with sweaty and their legs feel like Jell-O! Trust me- they'll sleep like lil new born babies that nite! They place is clean and offers pump hand sanitizer throughout, along with Clorox wipes. There is also complimentary Absopure water with cups for your kids to stay hydrated, and FREE hot coffee for us adults who need that caffeine to help us survive this bouncy madness. Bathrooms are always clean, and I've never been left stranded with out toilet paper. There is also water fountains outside the restrooms. Yes, birthdays are a blast here- we've been invited to more than I can count. I did say I have 5 kids. For a period of time we were here once a month- for an entire year! The employees really young but friendly and helpful. They haven't reached that age yet where they are cocky and disrespectful. I've even asked for fresh coffee and they were more then happy to make a fresh pot for me. In here today, with my son,pre-celebrating my sons 8th birthday. We brought his best friend and my youngest daughter came too. (The rest wanted to stay gone and swim). They have smiles on their lil faces- ear to ear! I took my two-year-old daughter here with me last week for a networking meeting. The group, Mommy & Me Networking, has the great idea to meet in their party room. Mommies have meetings while the kids can run, jump and have fun! At first I was a little nervous about whether my daughter would actually go play on her own, but I didn't worry for long! She latched right on to some of the older girls. When I went to peek as the meeting finished up, my daughter was jumping on her own in one of the huge bouncers. I'm looking for one closer to me with such convenient drop-in hours, and I hope the atmosphere is just as toddler friendly as I found at the Shelby Township Pump It Up! read more

We planned our son's 5th friendship birthday party here. This was the first time we had a friend party and for the money, this place was the most economical choice. 1)your party has run of one of the rooms with inflatables all by themselves for over an hour. This is nice because we didn't have to worry about any kids running off or being overwhelmed by other people/kids not in the party. 2) There were 2 party planners dedicated to our party for the entire time. They took photos of the kids playing, kept me informed, and offered tips to make the most out of the party time. I.E. free face paining, lights out fun with disco lights, and the wind tunnel experience. 3) When it was time to move into the next room, the two planners already had the food out for the children (parents ate buffett style), they sang to the birthday boy and took the cake to cut and serve it. This was the best part about the party. As the parent, I could sit back and watch the excitement on my son's face versus micro-managing my child and all of the guests. 4) The party planners helped the birthday boy with cards and presents and even kept a running list of who gave each present to give to me at the end of the night. If I had to complain, I would say that the pizza was kind of gross, but the kids liked it. Also, kind of expensive. 5) if you have younger children at home who are walking but very young, this is the place for an older siblings bday party. Being in your own party room makes it easy to follow around your toddler without worry of them running off and you still get to watch your birthday child enjoy their time! Based on a previous reviewer, who said this place was good for 2 year olds, i called and verified that it was. The man I spoke with agreed it was okay for toddlers. However, my 2 year old must have been too light for the slide, and flipped over due to to his speed. He injured his arm terribly, and we ended up in the ER with what i assume will be a hefty bill. This place is not terrible, it is clean and brightly lit, lots of fun to be had, but please think twice before bringing a toddler. read more

I actually liked this place a lot! I took my niece and nephew for a pre-k jump in the morning and they loved it, they didn't charge me since I'm an adult but I was still allowed to play on the slides with them. I think it cost me $12 for the two kids and we stayed quite a while, so worth it! read more

Horrible customer service. Over charged by management on food when I had my sons birthday party. They had a leak in the room we had our party in and didn't notify us. Half of the kids were running around with wet socks. Would never recommend them. read more

First, I will say that my kids love it here! They haven't had a bad birthday here. With that said.. it's been awhile since we've been there. We went last weekend for my nephews birthday, and I was very disappointed that they put games that cost money inside the bounce rooms! They should be kept in the lobby!! All of the kids were begging to play basketball, and air hockey, after the host spent ALOT of money on the bounce structures. Not cool! Second, I didn't realize the young adults, teenagers, only made $3.95 per hour! I know it says tipping optional, but come on.. again, after all the money spent, now we find out what they get paid?!? And I feel obligated to tip? (I'm a server, I know what a tip means). Why is that not a part of the total package? The 18% should be included in the bill!! Or told to you when booking that tips are expected! So you are prepared. It just seems like it's becoming a money hungry trap. I'm glad my kids are getting older and we will not be throwing any more bounce house parties. But, with young cousins, I'm sure we'll be back. I will let everyone know what to expect! Great place for a party! We recently had our daughter's 5th birthday here and it turned out great! The private playroom is what drew us here. It was so nice to be able to let the kids run and play freely without having to worry about big kids like we do at Bounce House. Staff was friendly and helpful. They allowed us to bring in drinks and our own prepackaged snacks which was nice. Pizza was good. I didn't care for the pay to play games in the room. Would have preferred them to be left in the lobby or included. But I would happily have another party here. read more

Went to check this place out for my daughter's birthday party. Looked like a great place to have one. Booked it about 6 weeks in advance. Went in 5 days before party to give food reservations. Come to find out they booked me for midnight to 2 am instead of noon to 2. Rest of the day mostly booked. Available times did not work out for me. Other days were out of the question too as to why I booked so early in advance. Appologized, gave my deposit back and free passes for jump. But still doesn't make up for the fact that my party I had arranged so early in advance, sent out invitations for and had been looking forward to for my daughter was all erased at that point. read more

Didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly, and attentive staff. The place was spotless...including the bathrooms. Kids had a great time...I decided to buy some socks (they sell them in case someone wears sandals!) and I joined them! It was a lot of fun! read more

The staff was awful! What a horrible experience! First, the party started LATE, it was suppose to start at 3:45 pm with the safety video. The guests arrived 15 minutes early as requested and we had to ASK the staff to show the safety video to the kids because it was 4 pm and we were all standing around wondering what was going on and the kids were running all over the lobby. Next, the staff came into the arena only 2 times in an hour and fifteen minutes. My husband and I had to supervise the play in the arena and could not even visit with all the parents that stayed. Two kids got hurt (knee to the eye and head collision) because there ended up being 9 kids bouncing in one of the inflatables that the safety video said that only 6 should be in at one time. This was while my husband and I were at two different areas of the arena. Next, the party room was a disaster! The "party coordinator" rushed the entire party (even though we had 45 minutes left!) by first lighting the birthday candles BEFORE all the guests were in the room. I asked her to STOP until the rest of the guest came in! She had the (burnt) pizza on the plates already and the pop poured before asking what everyone wanted. Then, one child did not have a plate of food or a drink and my mother and I asked her 3 times to get him a plate and she IGNORED us. Next, BEFORE the kids had even taken a bite of their pizza, she rushed my son to the very LOUD inflatable chair (that she left running for the ENTIRE party) and lit the candle and started singing happy birthday! More than half the guest and parents, including my husband and I, didn't know what was going on and barely anyone sang to my son. He looked really sad! Next, the kids STILL had not even eaten half their food and the "party coordinator" while I finally got to speak to another parent, cut the cake and started serving cake to the kids! I said to her "the kids didn't finish eating and I always take a picture of my kids birthday cake, you didn't give me a chance" and she IGNORED me once again and left the room! 10 minutes later she came into the room with another girl (whom had her purse draped across her) and started tying the 18 balloons (we requested and that we had to pay for) to the chairs. I was told that "Pump It Up will decorate the party room for an additional charge" before the guests came into the room! I said to her "you sang happy birthday to my son before you even decorated the room and before the kids even ate?" She IGNORED me again and walked away. Then, she disappeared again! The kids were asking for more to drink, she never stuck around to serve them and I ended up serving them. We also had 12 out of the 14 kids parents stay at the party. We requested a third adult pizza an hour before we were supposed to be in the party room and we requested pop. They brought in TWO 2 liters of pop for a total of 30 people (party guests plus parents and family members). Are you kidding me? Then, we were paying for the room until 6 pm, but the "party coordinator" and her purse toting partner seemed like they had somewhere else they would rather be and pretty much rushed the entire party out of there by 5:50 pm. Needless to say, but I will say it anyway, I would NEVER have another party at the Shelby Township Pump It Up and I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE! Six years ago I had my oldest son's party there and the staff was wonderful. We didn't have to do anything and the party ran smoothly and the staff did what they promised they would do. All we had to do was to sit back and enjoy our son's party. This staff on Saturday, 6-11-11 was nothing but RUDE, UNAVAILABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and THEY needed SUPERVISION. I can't believe for $355.92 we received such POOR service. I can't believe that Pump It Up would leave that kind of "staff" to run a business they way they did. If Pump It Up thinks that any parent at our party would ever have a party there after the service we got, they must be crazy! Oh, I almost forgot about the mumbling guy at the front desk. He too was unorganized, unavailable and unreliable too. We brought our own cooler with bottled water and my husband had to literally walk into the "employees only" office to retrieve the cooler himself because the front desk guy disappeared and "forgot" to bring in the cooler for us. Good thing we brought the water because there was not enough for the adults to drink. To end this horrible evening was when the "party coordinator" brought me the bill and said "if you just fill in the amount of tip here for the three of us, we would greatly appreciate it." SERIOUSLY? It started of great when I booked the party I booked for the deluxe party 25 kids since I was inviting 20, I was told that we would only be charged for the kids that showed since I was not sure how many would be coming. I ended up only having 10 kids when I confirmed the day before I told him I only had 10 kids he asked how many adults told him 8. When I went to pay they charged me for 25 kids when I refused to pay it she said that all she could do was to charge me the 10 kid party and charge me for 30 mins of extra bounce time and for the food. I told her I was not going to pay for the bounce time and she could keep the extra food that was not eaten. At which time she said that she would be calling the police which I was fine with. When the police got there she told them that she would have to charge me for the the package and the extra food. Which I spoke up and said I had no problem paying for the extra food but I was not paying for the extra bounce time... When figureing out the pricing the police officer said it sounded like it should have been $215 the "manager" Danielle started calculating it on the computer and then handed me a receipt for 223 to which I signed. Silly me and my mistake when I realized that the 223 total already had taken into account the $50 deposit. When I looked at the itemized receipt I relied that she still went ahead and charged me for the food and the extra bounce time. I also was not given the password for the $10 picture package that I bought and was told I could come back up to pick it up or she could mail it to me I told her i would be back up to get it along with a $50 credit since I said I was not paying for that. At which time Danielle hung up on me, began to not answer the phone. When I went back up to get my code for the pictures the door was locked ( during an open jump time). I would strongly suggest not having a birthday party here and if you do be very mindful of what you are paying for! read more
