Some of the dishes aren't kept as hot (temperature wise), it felt lukewarm as it seemed like some dishes had been sitting there for a while. Other than that, for $12.99, I have no issues with this place! The best dishes are actually the vegetarian ones. The palak paneer was smooth, creamy and had a little kick to and great seasoning. The eggplant bhartha has great flavour and the most delicious potatoes. The vegetable korma was also rich and creamy. The butter chicken was okay - it's average, not that flavourful. The shrimp curry suffered a bit from sitting in the buffet pan as the last few shrimps I got were stringy. The spicy chicken was in a bright red sauce, though it didn't taste that spicy to me it had some good flavours going there. The vegetable samosa is baked, the pastry is a bit too thick for my liking but the filling is pretty good. The plain naan is included, a nice perk as many places charge extra. The naan tasted like it was baked as well and not made in a tandor oven so it tasted more like westernized flat bread. This place is located in a stripmall, so look for the Dairy Queen that's across from Samosa Crown on Keewaitin.

It is one of the best kept secrets in Winnipeg for a excellent food and service. We stopped here for an after shopping snack and we're blown away by the quality of food and service. We ordered off the appetizer section and the food was plentiful and just plain incredible. we also ordered off of the extras and got eggrolls and samosas. They also were delicious. When we were leaving, the next table had their food delivered and we had to ask what it was because it smelled tantalizing. They were having tandoori fish and tandoori chicken. When other patrons saw us talking to them about their food they also came over to find out what they had ordered. When I asked the other diners why this restaurant had no comments or reviews on yelp, the looked embarrassed and said everyone they know that have eaten there thought of making a review but didn't because they wanted to keep this gem to themselves. I felt the same way. However, my conscious made me realize my selfishness would deny others of this rare culinary jewel. I knew he was an employee because he was talking with the guy who was smoking out front and he brought in some food. He was either smoking or vaping himself. I figured he was taking one final puff before going inside, but no.. he went inside and kept vaping. I know there is a difference between smoking and vaping, but that should just not be done. Gross. Seems like it might be an indicator of other lack of proper food handling practices. Again I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as I didn't go inside and eat.

While the price is higher than similar places like Subway, I feel the ingredients and higher quality meat you get more than make up for it. This particular branch has decent food quality, about what you expect for this place. It's fast food with over the counter service in the end, so don't elevate your expectations thinking it's gourmet style.
