Beautiful Ambiance, good service the food it's ok, seems like the chef is a bit afraid of adding salt ( seasoning) to the food, especially when it comes to the breakfast Dishes . Did zero research and pulled in to the first place we saw that had an ocean view. We were blown away with the quality and service we received. We got lucky and were able to secure a table without reservations. Pictured below is what ever kind of fresh fish they had and shrimp. Both meals were served on a black risotto that was delicious but very rich. Strong drinks. read more

Gorgeous view and excellent service. The food is pretty good, but for the prices it should be "great". We enjoyed our lobster served on a yummy risotto. But the small bites were the best, and the sweet cornbread and coffee at the end were delicious. We enjoyed our time in Punta Morro. read more

The service and quality of food was absolutely amazing. If I could provide more stars, I would. We ordered the fillet, tuna sashimi and quail. The fillet came with fried bree cheese, which was heaven. Even the sauces on the plate used for decoration were amazing. Many places in Los Angeles will have great food presentations, but sub-par flavor at times. Punta Mora has both. HIGHLY recommended this place and I want to go back to Ensenada just for this restaurant. read more

Restaurant was upscale. Food was 8/10 - flavourful and interestingly presented, although a little on the smaller size portion wise. However - take a pass on the desserts. We had the carrot cake and pumpkin cheesecake- and both seemed like they were sitting in a display case for days. Carrot cake was doughy. Cheesecake was the rubbery consistency of a hard boiled egg. Our meal was great - up until the desserts. This also isn't a Michelin restaurant: there are many components missing - like water on the table, sweeping crumbs between courses - many standard things you would expect at any restaurant, let alone a Michelin starred one. This review is for the restaurant. Two of us had the Roasted Octopus over chipotle hummus accompanied by chistorra, olives and coriander chimichurri which was delicious! I wish we had taken a photo as the presentation was spectacular! Our friend had the Chef's Special - Roasted Chicken Breast filled with Shrimp mousse and poblano peppers served with Squash Blossom sauce. He asked the waiter for some really hot spicy sauce and the chef made a small bowl of chopped roasted habanero peppers and onions. Our friend was so pleased he asked what it was called. Punta Morro is one of my favorite dining spots in Ensenada. The view alone is worth the trip but after one meal you will start coming here for the food too. We tend to favor their steak and seafood entrees; always well prepared and with a slight element of surprise that makes it seem special. Professional staff and upscale atmosphere that is suitable for fancy celebrations as well as casual gatherings. On my latest visit, we discovered they also offer award-winning Mexican craft beers by the bottle. read more

Scam alert! I'm from America and live in Ensenada. I've been here a couple times and every single time the servers scam you by charging you significantly more than the menu price. Last time I went, I made sure to show the menu to the manager when the check arrived and went line by line. They charged almost double the listed price. The manager had the gall to say "this is Mexico, it's how everything is." No, it's not, I live here... Then he says, "because gas prices are high, we had to raise the fees today." When I called him out on that, he finally said "Oh the tuna fishermen today didn't have a good catch so the price is higher." Unbelievable attempt at lying. I don't mind paying a fair amount for the listed price--I don't like being lied to by the manager. The servers are all in on it too because they had the same lines "oh you were probably looking at the older menu, we just changed it." FYI the menu is usually on a QR code on the table. However, we used a printed menu to order lol. And since we we've been there a few times, we knew the menu from before as well. The menu items haven't changed in months... They though we were American tourists or something and tried to scam us. Stay away! read more

The view to this restaurant is Amazing Oceanview all around regardless where you are sitting. Ambiance was relaxed with white linen table cloths dimmed lighting windows everywhere for the view! We went to this restaurant to celebrate our friend birthday! I order salmon was delicious served with side of risotto rest of the party ordered a ribeye steak and lobster also delicious! Our waiter provided excellent service and our drinks and dinner were served promptly. I will definitely be coming back here! Thank you Punta Morro! read more

This is our go-to restaurant in Ensenada area. Been having their steamed clams for nearly 20 years there with the floor to ceilings windows of the surf. Can't beat it. Service is always impeccable too. All all other dishes are fantastic. It's fine dining with white starched shirts and black vests and trousers for service, whether you going for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We love it. Thanks. read more

Really nice! Would definitely recommend. Rooms are suites and newly renovated. Small resort, beautiful location right on the water (not a swimming beach, but lovely) nice pool, spa and fire pit. Restaurant is the best. Excellent food and location. read more
