I eat here quite often since its super close to my house and I'm never disappointed! Whenever I am in the mood for a nice home cooked meal not cooked by me, this is usually where I go! They have a great selection already out and you can also order from their regular menu. I usually get their pernil with rice and beans and for breakfast their mangu with the tres golpes without question! Food is okay and have good prices . Not a fancy place to eat but you get what you pay for. Finding a parking in the area is kind of hard. However service can make the place a lot better than it is. The place changed ownership and the food used to be a lot better back then. read more

I used to come here often only because of the food. I have stopped coming here because of the bad service. The women serving don't use gloves, hairnets, and/or would even use the same spoon that was used for pork on a steak or chicken. I don't eat pork, and obviously I got disgusted by this. This has got to be the best Dominican restaurant I have ever been to. Was there today -- and had a delicious "mangu" meal. The portions are large -- and the prices are perfect. The staff is very helpful, especially for those who are not versed in Spanish. This is also one of the cleanest restaurants in downtown Passaic. I will definitely go here again. read more

Hell yes! My mom introduced me to this place ages ago and it is just consistently delish food, we get the rice w gandules, pernil, steak, maduros, and beans on the side...yum yum yum. Its authentic and servings are huge. I have never eaten there, the area is pretty congested and busy so we normally call ahead and i literally drop my mom off in front and by the time i do a loop around the block shes out front ready to go. I don't know if the employees speak english bc my mom calls and orders in spanish. I would def go w a buddy bc the parking sitch looks like its not happening! As a dominican-american, I'd like to think I have a strong palette for discerning sub-par rice and beans, pollo/carne guisada, chicharron, etc. This place comes pretty close to "mom's cooking". ZERO STARS!! Horrendous service. I asked the lady (fake blonde) who took my order (don't even want to go into what happened when I placed my order for pickup), after she absolutely screwed up my order, to please give me a separate order of arroz Amarillo con habichuelas!! She did not even listen to anything I said (completely ignored me) and told me I'll give you an order of beans that you can put over the rice I already gave you. I recently pass by Punto Fijo to get an order of Pork (Chicharon) that sells by the pound. In the front window they had less than 1/2 of what I needed, I ask one of the waitress if she had any more and she reply take whatever is at the buffet station and I said no thanks. As soon as I turn my back she whisper to another waitress that I wasn't going to buy much and that's why she didn't ask the cooks in the kitchen to make some more. I agree with the prior reviews and this is one of the many reasons the management needs to improve in the service and quality of the staff. read more
