I can not express how satisfied I am with Puppy Spa!!! I have a husky who recently went thorough knee surgery and she needed deshedding and a good grooming, that's exactly what she received a day at the spa! They are gentle kind and very very efficient. I also have a small Pomeranian who suffered from a collapse trachea and has had an awful experience with other groomers. Puppy spa handles all my babies with the upmost care and respect. I've been taking my doodle here for well over a year and mostly had great experiences, however, last week he came home quite beat up from a grooming appointment with dried blood on a number of his nails, a number of cuts on his inner thigh and extremely irritated, razor burned skin that required a over $300 vet visit and 14 days of antibiotics to treat. Both the owner and groomer said nothing at pickup but the extent of the injuries and bloody nails seem to suggest they should have known my dog was injured during the appointment. I called the owner last week to ask what happened and he claimed to not know. He was apologetic and said he'd speak to the groomer and call me back, but he has never called me back to check on my dog or provide an update on what happened. After being a loyal customer for a long time and even referring a number of friends to them, I'm very disappointed and will be finding a new, safer grooming spot going forward. read more

I took my two dogs (frenchie and Aussie-doodle) for a bath and brush which includes trimming of; face, stomach, rear, paw pads as well as nail clipping and ear cleaning. I paid for extra deshedding. I got a call saying that the Aussie was too matted and they asked if they should shave her entirely, I declined. 20 minutes later I get a text that they are ready. I pay and leave. Once I get in the car my frenchie sneezed and a ton of hair floated in the air. I pet him and noticed his coat was not deshedded and honestly not brushed for longer than 2 minutes... I know because up until now I've washed these dogs myself. Yoko's stomach was never shaved, neither were her paw pads. Only her face and her butt were shaved I texted the shop with a video, with no response I called. The owner who I paid said he'll give the phone to the person who groomed them. I told them that I paid for deshedding of both and everything I am unhappy about. He denied everything and invited me to come back tomorrow to "educate" me on why yokos stomach couldn't be shaved and how the frenchie ...would go bald The service I paid for and the customer service I received were horrible. I asked for them to refund me the 20% tip I left them I am not holding my breath read more

This review comes after taking my pup here for the 2nd time. The first time wasn't great either but this time I wanted to send a warning to other potential customers. I was able to make a same day grooming appointment which was great. I had a 16 year old Pomeranian who was in desperate need of a professional groom. I dropped him off for a bath and haircut and explained what my needs were. To shave his body, trim his tails and to leave the head slightly longer. When I picked him up I think I was in too much shock to even say anything. I just wanted to get out of there. The shave was completely uneven, nails not trimmed even though I explicitly asked if they could do them and they shaved off all of his fluffy Pomeranian tail.. like completely off. I don't even think they gave him a bath because he just looked dirty and oily. My pup ended up passing away in late December. As I was going through photos of him it reminded me of this horrible experience. All I know is with my next dog we will not be going here. read more

Brought in my 14.5 year old Maltipoo, and I can tell he was treated so well here! Not stressed or anxious at all :) he looks great too--the groomers did an amazing job with his thick fur and were so gentle with his problem areas. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I took my puppy to get his toes clipped here. They told they were unable to clip them after having my puppy in the back for a good ten minutes. I decided to go to a groomer I usually see and they told me he seemed really shaken up. They thought somebody had been aggressive with him - mind you I took him like 10 minutes after this place told me they were unable to cut his toes. Best dog groomer in Los Angeles! After our previous groomer kept knicking our pup and causing him skin infections, we found this place and it is a night and day difference!
