I had no idea what to expect. I returned from a trip after leaving my little one in the care of my daughter. Although she did a fabulous job with most everything she failed to brush her out regularly which caused her to get matted quite quickly. Our normal groomer was unavailable for that day so I found this place and booked online for same day. I was thrilled they had a spot. Upon arrival I was greeted by very friendly staff. The front desk girl was super welcoming during check in and very knowledgeable! Was even able to squeeze us in for a cut instead of just the bath and brush booked online. The groomer was also stellar. An amazing calm personality that my little one took to right away. She looked great and happy when I came to pick her up. Truly an amazing place! I took my senior Yorkshire Terrier here after moving to a building down the street. We decided to go here because our building was offering a discount on grooming packages. The appointments were easy to make online and I was able to get one the next day. They groomed her thoroughly and Gremlin looked great afterwards. Service was friendly and welcoming. I've been taking my doodle here for well over a year and mostly had great experiences, however, last week he came home quite beat up from a grooming appointment with dried blood on a number of his nails, a number of cuts on his inner thigh and extremely irritated, razor burned skin that required a over $300 vet visit and 14 days of antibiotics to treat. Both the owner and groomer said nothing at pickup but the extent of the injuries and bloody nails seem to suggest they should have known my dog was injured during the appointment. I called the owner last week to ask what happened and he claimed to not know. He was apologetic and said he'd speak to the groomer and call me back, but he has never called me back to check on my dog or provide an update on what happened. After being a loyal customer for a long time and even referring a number of friends to them, I'm very disappointed and will be finding a new, safer grooming spot going forward. read more

I took my two dogs (frenchie and Aussie-doodle) for a bath and brush which includes trimming of; face, stomach, rear, paw pads as well as nail clipping and ear cleaning. I paid for extra deshedding. I got a call saying that the Aussie was too matted and they asked if they should shave her entirely, I declined. 20 minutes later I get a text that they are ready. I pay and leave. Once I get in the car my frenchie sneezed and a ton of hair floated in the air. I pet him and noticed his coat was not deshedded and honestly not brushed for longer than 2 minutes... I know because up until now I've washed these dogs myself. Yoko's stomach was never shaved, neither were her paw pads. Only her face and her butt were shaved I texted the shop with a video, with no response I called. The owner who I paid said he'll give the phone to the person who groomed them. I told them that I paid for deshedding of both and everything I am unhappy about. He denied everything and invited me to come back tomorrow to "educate" me on why yokos stomach couldn't be shaved and how the frenchie ...would go bald The service I paid for and the customer service I received were horrible. I asked for them to refund me the 20% tip I left them I am not holding my breath read more

I dropped my maltipoo off and I was very descriptive of what I wanted. Round poodle face, long ears, rounded out legs. And I even showed pics. I show up to pick him up and it is nothing like I asked for. Pics below and the kicker is that the corners of his eyes are dirtier than when I dropped him off. This review comes after taking my pup here for the 2nd time. The first time wasn't great either but this time I wanted to send a warning to other potential customers. I was able to make a same day grooming appointment which was great. I had a 16 year old Pomeranian who was in desperate need of a professional groom. I dropped him off for a bath and haircut and explained what my needs were. To shave his body, trim his tails and to leave the head slightly longer. When I picked him up I think I was in too much shock to even say anything. I just wanted to get out of there. The shave was completely uneven, nails not trimmed even though I explicitly asked if they could do them and they shaved off all of his fluffy Pomeranian tail.. like completely off. I don't even think they gave him a bath because he just looked dirty and oily. My pup ended up passing away in late December. As I was going through photos of him it reminded me of this horrible experience. All I know is with my next dog we will not be going here. read more

This review is long overdue. I highly recommend them. They treat my pup, Jackson so well. He started going to them at just about 8 weeks old. The owner is very friendly and the groomers are very accommodating to my pups needs. We use the complimentary 3 mile pick up and Jackson always runs towards them with excitement. From the wash, to the grooming, to my pups energy when he comes back. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Brought in my 14.5 year old Maltipoo, and I can tell he was treated so well here! Not stressed or anxious at all :) he looks great too--the groomers did an amazing job with his thick fur and were so gentle with his problem areas. I was happy when they just let him run to me in the lobby area. He was really comfortable there and was just playing around. The place is really welcoming and clean. Great environment. Came here the first time as they fit both my dogs last minute at same time and after being frustrated new groomers all the time at our previous place. Have been back a few times and can honestly say best grooms my boys have ever had. My new poodle puppy looked teddy bear picture perfect and my Maltese mix has never looked more handsome. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I took my puppy to get his toes clipped here. They told they were unable to clip them after having my puppy in the back for a good ten minutes. I decided to go to a groomer I usually see and they told me he seemed really shaken up. They thought somebody had been aggressive with him - mind you I took him like 10 minutes after this place told me they were unable to cut his toes. Just overall really strange experience and my puppy was very on edge the rest of the day. I felt terrible for even taking him here. read more

Took my 2 year old french bulldog for the first time! Customer service was amazing over the phone and in person! Grabbing an appointment was an easy process as well as checking in! Best dog groomer in Los Angeles! After our previous groomer kept knicking our pup and causing him skin infections, we found this place and it is a night and day difference! They take the best care of our wheaten terrier and attend to all the little details (nail clipping, teeth cleaning, etc) while providing excellent customer service for a better price than the last place! I almost didn't want to write this review to keep them our secret, but they deserve praise when so many groomers in LA provide sub-par services for outrageous prices. read more

They are quick and efficient and create a welcoming environment for my pup. They do a great job with his baths. Their grooming is okay, I usually cut my dog's mustache when we get home because they tend to leave only that long on his face which makes him look kind of funny. TMI but they don't cut the hair on my little guys private parts which I also have to trim at home PRO TIP 1 -- there is parking in the back which the owner told me about after he saw me struggling to park PRO TIP 2 -- be specific with how you want your dog's hair otherwise they will come out with a summer cut aka shaved read more

In all honestly, this haircut gave lazy and careless! This was our first time coming to Puppy Spa & Grooming in result of our regular groomer being fully booked for the week... Our regular groomer typically takes the time to detangles his hair and trims it to our liking, the owner of puppy spa walked out and told his that his hair was tangled not even touching him yet. I looked at reviews before bringing my Dunkin in, I also seen that he has groomed poodles before so I was expecting a whole lot better than this as my result. I even thought he gave us the wrong dog. We had SUCH a great experience at Puppy Spa & Grooming! This was our 4 month old puppy, Mookie's, first grooming experience and they definitely took care of him. For puppies, they tend to just do a wash, dry, and brush but for Mookie they were able to shave down around his eyes and his sanitary areas which was so needed. Overall amazing experience and we will definitely be back! read more

Was looking for a new groomer to take my dog to after a bad experience with a different one and this place completely exceeded my expectations! The grooming was done in only a couple of hours and I was kept in constant communication about my dog's behavior and how the grooming process was going. I found the pick up/drop off to be a huge weight off my shoulders and they were extremely attentive towards my pup, always putting her safety first. My neighbors recommended this place to me since it's only a mile away. I got my dog to do the whole grooming service. He's a small dog and it all came out to be about $75. She even sent us a picture of the results before I came to pick him up. They are super friendly and I told him about this behavior and that he's adopted from a shelter kind of dog. They were able to clean him up no problem and trimmed his nails. Super happy with the results. They do pick up and drop off complimentary if you're within 3 miles radius. I might take up that offer if it's during my working hours. I'll definitely keep coming back. They respond very fast to emails and requests if you have any questions. read more

After our Dog Walker wasn't able to watch our dog over the Thanksgiving holiday, we were desperate to find somewhere that cared and loved our pup as much as we do. Happy puppy LA and their entire staff was an absolute dream to work with. They were accommodating, responsive, and very proactive and handling what became a scheduling nightmare due to an unfortunate last-minute stop at the emergency room for our dog before heading off to boarding. The staff worked tirelessly over the Thanksgiving holiday to make sure that our dog, Rosie, got the care that she needed. The daily Pupdates were always our favorite part of the day, being away from her, and let us see that she was well taken care of. Could not recommend happy puppy enough, if you're looking for a kind, responsive, thoughtful place to board your dog looking further .

Let me start off by saying I don't let people handle my dog often unless I really trust that they know what they're doing, I've groomed, my dog myself, who is a Pomsky for 3 years. I've tried a few groomers from time to time sparingly when his coat gets really bad. At this business I came across daisy who is a registered fear free groomer. So I said why not lemme give it a try.. other than the price which was a bit steep, I gotta say, it was worth the 100$. Milo's coat never felt so soft so shiny and she took up to 2 hours to really be meticulous in the service I paid for. Daisy is my go to girl for when grooming is a must for Milo moving forward when things get out of control on my end. read more

I absolutely love this place! It is very hard to find a place like this; with experienced groomers who actually know what they're doing and not like "whatever, as long as there's no hair". I've had my dogs groomed at many places! I have a Yorkie, Sherry, and a chocolate Lab, Maya, they both need deep grooming. For my dogs, this is the best place so far! DEFINITELY STAYING WITH THEM! Not only they care for my doggies so well that they do not cry when we get to the spa but also they listen to what I ask them to do and I think it is very important. Highly recommend this place!!!!!! Ok, the prices are way too high for leaving your dog in a dirty 3x3 box with 4 other yapping dogs. They only have 2 small fenced off, "open ceiling" boxes, if you don't want your dog in there with other dogs your baby will get a tiny crate. The place is tiny and they don't seem to clean the floors in the fenced off 3x3 boxes. IMO I just don't feel comfortable at all at this place and the prices are way to high. Biggest no is how unsanitary it feels. read more

You made an angel pitbull rescue the happiest girl alive by making getting a bath far less traumatic than going to the groomer. From start to finish-- Luna and I were both dazzled. The entire process was so intuitive and easy and intelligent-- the intake form on his website, subsequent communications and all questions wonderfully answered. When I finally met him in person, I got to meet his dog that accompanies him, Cali (safely from the cab, in case like our Luna, socializing is not your thing) who was the gentlest, sweetest, most precious girl. Which, note, is very telling about what kind of person Andy is and his ethos for how he treats every dog: so caring, thorough, attentive, responsive, loving, calm, wise, considerate, communicative, joyful. He is truly a beautiful human. Finding Andy and Puppy Love was a gigantic relief. We are beyond grateful. I heartily recommend their services. Luna gives it five paws-- and that is the highest rating in the world. Because she picky. And hilarious. And maybe the best dog ever. Hence why I had to hunt throughout the whole dang city of concerningly-yikes-groomers to find Andy. And he is clearly and totally worth that effort and more.

And the convenience of mobile grooming made up for the fact that our monthly expense for cutting the hair of one dog was higher than the combined monthly expense of cutting the hair of two adult humans. Once the pandemic started easing up, the quality went down. For a few months, they'd been leaving his fur longer than we requested. So, last week, I asked for it to be a tiny bit shorter -- one setting on the trimmer. Something got lost in translation, I guess, because they practically shaved him. Take a look at the pictures. But the real problem comes from their response. When I got him from the van, I asked what happened. They assured me that this was one setting shorter than we'd been getting. You can see that it wasn't. Later, I texted to follow up and ask what size I'd need to ask for next time...and they ghosted me. After a transaction totaling over $200. They have failed to respond to another text from me and one from my wife. We got a little worried so we sent an email. No dice. As a last-ditch effort (in this day and age), we made a call to each of their phones. Nothing. I guess you need to spend over $300 to get a reply nowadays? No thanks.
