Outstanding Emergency Care and Compassion…read more I brought my cat, Gavin, to Edgewood Veterinary Clinic for an urgent emergency. He was unable to urinate and had been throwing up, and the team quickly diagnosed him with crystals blocking his urethra. He required immediate surgery to place a catheter and received IV fluids to restart his kidneys. The care Gavin received was nothing short of exceptional. The entire staff, from the front desk to the veterinary team, was extremely professional, courteous, and empathetic. During a very stressful time, they made me feel welcomed and well-informed. I want to specifically thank Vet Tech Rachel for her outstanding work and attentiveness--she was wonderful. It's clear this team goes above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you, Edgewood Vet Clinic, for taking such good care of my boy. I like this place. My dog needed stitches. They did stitches. And it needed a drain but was told it…read moredidn't cause a puncture was not that big. We had to bring him back for staples again cause the stitches popped out and he got pretty swollen. After the staples didn't work we took him back a third time and they left an opening for drainage and stuff and stitched him back up. But went back to remove the stitches. Wait was hours ling. Tried to schedule an appointment but it was booked out super far ended up just taking the stitches out myself. So far so good. I would go back for an emergency but probably not for normal vet since they are a very popular vet and scheduling may be crazy. The front desk staff were awesome gave my kid some coloring things and such while we waited for a room.

At first I was understanding that it took them an hour to triage my cat, and when they told me mine wasn't the highest priority case. But eventually I started asking for an update on the waitlist every 30 minutes or so. Every time they told me I was next on the list, and promised it would be "soon". The staff began leaving to go home around 6:30 pm, at which point I was told I would be the first to be seen by the night vet. 45 minutes later I still had not heard from them, so I went home. I called to ask for a refund, which they provided. I asked what was going on with their waitlist, and the staff member confirmed that no animal had been seen since my previous call. So their ER staff are seeing fewer than 1 animal per hour? Being in the carrier for 5.5 hours total including driving time was torment for my wounded cat. She had to urinate in the carrier, and I had to drug her before we left. And it was all for nothing. Their first priority is, unsurprisingly, to charge you $200. This is the only veterinarian I know of that charges before services are rendered. That seems overly optimistic to me.

On several occasions, I have personally witnessed handlers yelling aggressively at dogs, jerking them harshly by the leash, and even striking animals during walks. As someone who cares deeply about animal welfare, I found the behavior extremely upsetting and inappropriate for anyone trusted with the care of pets. I would strongly encourage pet owners to use caution and thoroughly research caregivers before entrusting their animals to this company. Animals deserve patience, kindness, and humane treatment -- not intimidation or physical aggression.

Rachel and staff are ALL dedicated to on point care for the dogs she/they service. Care can range from daily walks, miles long hikes, taking Freddie for a long visit when my MIL needs a break from his care, as well as taking him into her home (board) when she goes away for trips. Rachel goes the extra mile for my MIL, in that she comes every morning to walk Freddie, her staff comes by in the evening to walk him again. She also does extra services that my MIL needs, going above and beyond. When my MIL started getting sick, Rachel was a neighbor that she didn't know, who stepped up to help me with the challenges we faced in making sure she was okay and Freddie was being taken care of as well, dedicating her time without pay even. Rachel brings her food in the morning when she picks Freddie up, so that she knows MIL is eating, make sure she is taking her meds, as well as even just being someone to talk and converse with, as my MIL is homebound at this point. My MIL is at the point where she needs round the clock care (CNA) but she still demands that Rachel is the one to take care of Freddie, she doesn't trust anyone else to give him the love and care that she does. Rachel is a true dog lover, but her business isn't just about the dog care, but the care and dedication she shows to clients/families that she interacts with. I have had to call Rachel during emergencies with my MIL specifically and she will always show up, when needed. She isn't just an amazing dog lover/business owner, etc but truly a ROCK STAR and I appreciate everything she has done for us!

We will be repeat customers! (Side note: CCC does NOT use shock collars as has been alleged by some other reviews. CCC sent an email to all their clients that said this: "It's important to emphasize that training collars are a training aid, not a punitive measure; they should never be used as a form of punishment or cruelty. We exclusively use the beep or vibrate functions to capture a dog's attention, and we never administer shocks. Training collars help dogs that struggle to shift their focus during intense play or display inappropriate behavior that could lead to issues. Every client is informed about our training approach at the beginning of our services through our intake paperwork. Our primary responsibility is to make decisions that ensure the safety of the dogs in our care while providing a fulfilling free-range experience. We implement the most effective correction techniques tailored to each dog's needs." and also "When we notice unwanted behaviors, we follow a specific protocol for every dog. First, we will leash the dog and walk with it to redirect its energy and behavior. A shock collar was discovered on my dog jammed so tight on his neck that both my husband and the male employee had significant difficulty removing it. The employee at pickup did not disclose the use and was going to allow us to leave with this collar still on our dog. There was no communication during his stay that this type of discplinary action was necessary and it was a complete shock, since we have used the boarding service several times and our dog's behavior has only been praised. A single finger couldn't even fit underneath it. The employee on duty had to physically choke, pull, and wrestle my dog to get it off causing him severe distress, flailing, and yelping. He was inside of an unsupervised crate with this device and staff have not disclosed how many days this device was used. We have tried to communicate with the owner directly, and have been told three very different explanations regarding the use which shows deception and lying. Leaving an improperly fitted, high-pressure correction tool jammed on a confined dog unattended, with zero shift logging or handler handoff is negligence, plain and simple. When confronted with these safety failures, the owner doubled down with deflection rather than addressing why my dog was wrongly subjected to unmonitored equipment and choking under their roof. Formal complaints has been filed with Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC), along with deceptive business practice reports with the WA Attorney General. Save your dogs the trauma and avoid sending your dog to this facility.

She's groomed Macy ever since and does a phenomenal job. She truly cares about the comfort of your dog and knows how to treat them with the same love they would get at home.
