She takes such good care of them and is always willing to work with me on last minute changes. She always returns my calls or texts....I can't say enough good things about her. If you're looking for someone to take care of your animals while you're out of town, definitely call her...you'll be happy you did. Ps. We love Summer! She has been walking our little buddy, Zippy, 3-4 times a week for the last two months and we couldn't be happier with this arrangement. My husband is out of town 4 days a week and I am gone 11 hours each day for work, so having someone pop over to play with him is very necessary. The Yelp reviews led us to Summer and after our meet & greet, I was really excited about the arrangement! She asked a lot of questions about his history, his training, allergies, etc, and took notes. I immediately felt that he would be in good hands. Zippy was neglected/abused in his previous life and has some fear aggression with strangers, but Summer quickly earned his trust and he is as excited to see her now as he is to see us! The pictures and videos she texts each time she is with him make my day! It means a lot to know that your dog is with someone who loves him as much as you do, and that someone is Summer. I'm hesitant to write this review in fear that with too many good reviews, Summer will get too busy and she won't be easily available to hire However, I can't help but let people know how absolutely amazing she is! I'm one of those people who have a lot of trouble leaving my dog behind for more than a day. Summer made vacationing without our dog so much easier. You can see her genuine love for animals and the positive way my dog responded to her. Every time Summer would come for a visit, I knew I would get to see pictures and/or a video of my baby girl. I cannot say enough about Summer! Not only did she help me out at the last minute, but it was two days before the busy 4th of July weekend!! She had no qualms about watching my little Boston Terrier and even made an appointment with me the next day to meet us. Summer is fantastic! My dog has some "issues" so I have been hesitant to use a dog walker but Summer is so patient and sweet and my dog couldn't be happier. I think her background in dog training really makes a difference. It is so great to be able to have Summer go and take my dog out in the middle of the day while I am at work. I am so grateful to have met Summer several months ago when I was in search of someone who could care for my 2 cats when I am out of town. I got Summer's name from a locally owned pet store which I trust. The first time I called Summer we scheduled a meeting so she could "meet" my kitties and do an assessment of my needs. Summer was so professional, taking notes, asking important questions and actually bonding with my kitties! Since then I have had Summer kitty sit for me at least 6 times. I trust her with my pets and also with my home!!. She is so professional--when I am out of town she actually texts me pictures of my kitties playing or doing other cute things. I met Summer while looking for someone to exercise our puppy while we were on vacation. I was immediately impressed with her. She took careful notes of exactly what I needed her to do. Summer also asked about the commands he has learned so that she could help him practice while she was with him. She has been with us now for a month with regular once a week visits (in addition to our vacation coverage) and I couldn't be happier with her. She takes excellent care of him AND helps him remember how to be a good boy. Summer has been a great resource for training as well and even met me at the dog park to help socialize him. I love getting updates from her via photo and video and trust her enough to keep a key our house. Summer is reliable, her hours are flexible and she responds quickly to texts/voicemails. Plus, she's a really nice person! We've had plenty of dog walkers before who did a good job being my dog's friend. Summer is a 5 star dog walker/pet sitter; she is reliable, punctual and amazingly sweet. Summer cares so much about my dog Emma - she treats her as if she were hers. Emma struggled at Wags and Wiggles because of the volume of dogs and constant movement. Summer is a lifesaver with our furry baby, Rugby! Our boy is high anxiety and recently has started being home all day, everyday without someone to hang out with. It's been tough! We just moved back to RSM from out of the country and it's been a tough transition for Rugby. We tried doggie day care, but that was too overwhelming for him. He likes to be home. But with someone. She started out walking him a few times per week but then my schedule changed and now she only walks him from time to time, on an as needed basis. She is super flexible with scheduling which is a huge help for me. On her walks, she always sends an array of pictures from her visit which is an awesome little perk while I'm sitting in my office at work. She usually takes him on a pack walk with a few other dogs, both big and small, and on special occasions, she takes him to the Coto De Casa dog park as well! WE are SO grateful to have had Summer Miles as our puppy's first trainer. We met Summer at Porter Ranch Petco's puppy socializing class when Daisy was about 11 weeks old. Summer was amazingly skilled, kind, loving and effective at relating to each puppy personality there. I was continually amazed at her versatility at dealing with such different personalities in the many dogs that showed up. She was able to answer all our questions intelligently, with good suggestions on remedies for discipline, potty training, whatever was on our minds at the time. Daisy went from a bewildered, hide behind our legs pup to an active full out playing girl who had to be helped to "tone down her enthusiasm" a few weeks later. The skills we learned from Summer to help Daisy develop her natural instincts to be friendly with most all dogs have made her a very well adjusted and happy dog today. She makes human and doggie friends everywhere she goes! When we (very sadly) lost Summer to Orange County a few weeks later, we were glad to hear she was going to honor her commitment to teach a beginning obedience class at Kahoots in Chatsworth We continued to appreciate Summer's wide ranging knowledge of dog training techniques. Daisy continued her socialization experiences in Summer's class, and developed great confidence and aplomb in performing the various skills "stay", "leave it", "loose leash walking", and tricks like "sit pretty" she learned there. Again, we feel so lucky to have met Summer. Her combination of a loving, gentle heart with VERY EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE yet KIND, and CONFIDENCE producing training techniques have made a huge contribution to our having a wonderful 9 month old pet dog we can take anywhere--our beloved Daisy. read more

We are new to the area and could not rely on our usual friends to take care of them We were a little worried about leaving them in the care of a "stranger" but Summer really put our minds at ease. She was very professional when she came over to meet our cats, taking notes and asking questions. She got along very well with one cat, but the other would not come out of hiding. My former office was less than 1 mile from my home so I was able to pop home often to take care of my new puppy Presley. Unfortunately that changed and work was now over 40 minutes away from home and I was very concerned about my puppy. Then I met Summer and what a blessing! Presley LOVES her, sometimes I think better than me. The first few minutes into our initial meeting Summer started taking notes and I was very impressed on her level of detail and caring. I was completely comfortable giving her access to my home and pup. While with family Presley was bit by a large dog on her eye. Summer not only put the drops in her eye at lunch time walk for 2 weeks, but she took extra care to involve Presley with other dogs so she would not develop a long term fear of big dogs. I feel that Summer was a big part of helping Presley to heal physically and emotionally. She is flexible with my schedule changes and I love the video and pictures she sends.
