Located off of interstate 20 and in what looks like the only little shopping plaza in that area, is a humble Salvadorian restaurant with some of the friendliest and hard working people. Very clean place with handmade delicious food. My go to is always popusas and a ton of cabbage salad and they did not disappoint. I could see the cook hand making them and they owner told me they are opening a second location. I'm happy they are doing so well. Definitely deserved. Ordered pick up and they unfortunately did not give me my complete order. It was too late to go back and let them know of my missing items but I was able to call and they let me know they would include it in my next order. I hope they do! The pupusas were delicious and I plan on coming back and reclaiming my lost pupusas. Then the tamales weren't cooked properly so I called them and they hung up on me the 1st time then made me go into the store with the tamales and verified they weren't cooked properly and finally gave me back my money. For pupusas, I like Beltran. They are well made and great tasting. The slaw is good oregano flavor without the big vinegar bang. Service is nice and friendly. The chile salsas are not hot but they are flavorful. read more

So after seeing this place on Yelp for the past 2 years, we finally decided to try it out since my hubby was getting his hair cut at the barbershop a few doors down. So I will agree with one of the other post I don't know why they only have 3 1/2 stars. I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars not 5 but only due to the parking. Now we have only been to one other Salvadorian Restaurant so not alot of experience with the food. They have tacos and gorditas amongst other dishes but don't expect a spicy salsa. So I had 2 gorditas one of barbacoa, and the other chicken and a chicharon papusa. Well the papusa did not have alot of filling but it was good. The gorditas had a nice crisp to them and the filling was plenty the chicken was nice and tender, good flavor. The barbacoa had a bit of fat on it and alot of juice which caused it to be sloppy. If you are dressed up I do not recommend this or do like I did and make sure u eat over your plate. My husbands plate was different with a gordita de bistek and I had to try a piece of the meat, was very good really good flavor. I saw they had tamales so we had to try one, my husband got the corn one and I got the chicken. So this was definitely a first for us. I'll start with his I sware it tasted like a moist piece of cornbread! Yum! Now mine so the chicken tamale is cooked in a banana leaf, then wrapped in saran wrap I was unwrapping for a bit lol. The texture of the masa is mushy now I thought maybe it would harden up once it started to cool down, you know like a mexican tamale when they are fresh out the pot. Well I waited and nothing lol the flavor of the chicken and potato was flavorful but the masa was not my favorite. I asked the young lady if that is how its supposed to be she said yes. She was very nice to us the whole time we were there. I wish I would have taken pictures since there aren't much on here but maybe next time. As we were leaving another customer had caldo de res it smelled and looked good. Will have to try next time. Price was good, for 4 gorditas, 2 papusas, and 2 tamales 1 water(bottled) and 1 trope chico it came out to 24 and change. read more

Pupusas are really good. The deal is always 4 for 5$, which is great. They have a lot of different ingredients like frijoles con queso (beans with cheese), chicharron, and etc. I know they have about 8 different ones, but we always stick with the first two listed. Wait is a bit, so I recommending calling ahead for sure. They also have more food options but we always get pupusas from here. read more

Ill give this place a 3.5. It really depends who makes your pupusas but when the right person does, they're great! If the wrong person makes them, they're slightly burnt but still ok. I do, really like their salsas that come with. I definitely go here when I want something quick and short distance. I often call ahead before I go if I want them to go. Pupusas are awesome but my preference is the platano macho with beans and cream breakfast. It is authentic Central American and Mexican food. It does get a bit crowded in the weekends that is why I visit during the week. Food does take a bit as well to come out but that is because it is prepared as you order which to me is perfect because I don't like to have my food reheated.
