The beef nachos were really good as well, don't sleep on those! The highlight was the red snapper topped with shrimp in a butter sauce... perfectly cooked and super flavorful without being too heavy. I like Gloria's very much and have been to several of her locations. The one on Greenville is particularly a favorite and during lunch you can park for free because valet is not working. I met a friend for lunch on a weekday. I ordered crispy tacos from the lunch menu and they were a disappointment. The crispy shells tasted stale and were not crispy. The ground meat was not well seasoned and lacked flavor. The only thing that gave the tacos flavor was the red salsa. I had ordered crispy tacos from this location before and they were much better, so maybe the kitchen had an off day. Or they had some old taco shells to dispose of before dinner. I have not given up on Gloria's. It is still a favorite and I will give this location another try. read more

I came here around 4:00pm on St. Patrick's Day. I know it's an odd option, but I wanted to avoid crowds even though I was eating what most would consider to be a very early dinner. The place itself is beautifully designed. Its a pretty elegant restaurant. I ordered this grilled chicken plate with black beans and black rice, plátanos fritos and yucca. It was delicious and their chips and salsa - holy cow, I could not stop eating them. The food was on the salty side so when I go back I will ask for a glass of water along with my drink. Gloria's is a must visit spot whenever I'm in Dallas. I've never had a disappointing visit, regardless of which location I visit. Each location is nicely decorated and there's usually plenty of seating inside and out. The margaritas by themselves are worthy of five stars. I can never have more than two because they are strong! I loveeee the nachos. Today I chose just steak, but I will often get chicken and beef. The steak is so tender and flavorful and a perfect compliment to the black beans. The red snapper tacos are my favorite dish. Each bite is full of fish, topping and sauce if you choose to use it. They don't skimp on meat like some places. Our server, Gerson, was friendly and accommodating to our requests. He made sure our visit was pleasant. I will forever recommend Gloria's as a must try in Dallas. read more

I have always been a big fan of Gloria's...food is always well prepared and beautifully presented.When we found out that our favorite waiter, Armando from the now closed Mario's on Cedar Springs ( food was never as good as Gloria's), we decided to pay him a visit. It was well worth it! The restaurant is beautiful, food was delicious...I had the Quattro Leches Belgian Waffle....everyone was very friendly..and of course we got great service from Armando. Went with a friend on a slow Thursday during early dinner time and had a great time! The restaurant was pretty slow and thus the service was very quick. Our waitress was super nice and came to check on us plenty. We each got some margaritas during happy hour and were pleasantly surprised as they were well worth the price! They aren't huge margaritas like you can sometimes get at other Tex Mex locations but the flavor was definitely better than what I'm used to for happy hour drinks. I love that they give you a bean dip as well as two other salsas to start as it gives you something to immediately gnaw on while you decide what to get next. We each got the Gloria's super special (I think that's what it's called?) and it was superb!! The tamale and the pork pupusas were AMAZING and super flavorful. We both absolutely cleared our plates with zero leftovers. The price was also very fair for everything we ordered so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some Latin cuisine! read more

We came here Friday night at 7 and were seated right away. Service is extremely fast with the chips and salsa as well as the food. The drinks took a little longer. I enjoyed the fact that they have 2 different salsas and a bean dip. We ordered a skinny marg, mango frozen marg and a strawberry frozen marg, all of which were really good. I really enjoyed my experience at Gloria's! I went right at 11am to the Greenville location after church service and anticipated it to be busy and it wasn't! I was very pleased to actually have a quiet experience for brunch with my girls. We got a few of the brunch items from the menu and all of us enjoyed our meals. The restaurant serves chips with salsa & beans. Probably some of the best chips I've had. Thin, crunchy, & perfectly salted. My husband and I decided to walk since this restaurant is nearby where we live and the weather was so nice. We were told a table outside was going to be a 10-15 minute wait so we decided to grab a seat and drink at the bar. The wait ended up being more like 30-35 minutes though it was cold inside so I didn't mind waiting. I ordered the tacos and my husband ordered the enchiladas. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the outside patio it made the experience of waiting worth it. My husband liked, but didn't love his plate. This location is great. I often underestimate my experience at Gloria's due to subpar service I've had in the past and maybe not the right selected items but I enjoyed it this time around! Great place! The food was fresh and tasty. Valet parking based off tips was a nice little bonus. The frijoles were some of the best I have had in a restaurant setting. Visiting Dallas and HAD to try this place. So many different restaurants on this street but this was the ONE I wanted to try. This place has valet parking. As you walk in you will notice this restaurant is not like your typical Mexican food restaurant. This place is clean and has great customer service from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave the restaurant. Every encounter with an employee is great. The menu has lots of great authentic options. There will be something on the menu for everyone. The mango margaritas were perfection!! Food was delicious. Food tasted fresh and not reheated almost like homemade. The salsa, beans and chips were unforgettable. I tried not to stuff my face with all of it before the food came. I'm always wary of places like this because they tend to be overhyped, but Gloria's lived up to all of the expectations and more! The salsa that they bring out has a great little kick - something that rarely happens when it comes to the free chips and salsa. It also comes with a delicious bean dip - something I was pleasantly surprised with. The queso, nachos, ceviche and the yuka fries, but specifically the garlic dipping sauce, were all amazing! I ordered a Paloma and it was strong and sooooooo tasty. Finally, the carne asada was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I ordered the Gloria's Super Special. This included a pupusa, tamale, rice/beans, fried plantains, yucca, and slaw. It was good but not for the price. My meal with the mango margarita was $20. The star was their tamale and bean dip. The red salsa had a kick, salsa verde was refreshing, and the black bean dip was very flavorful. The tamale was wrapped in a banana leaf filled with chicken and potato. There wasn't much filling but it was moist. The service was okay. We waited over an hour for a table which kinda hyped the place up for me but let down by what i got. This last time was no different, except unfortunately after ordering the Tex-Mex beef tacos I got food poisoning. I was throwing up for 12+ hours straight, only relieved by prescription anti-nausea. This Gloria's location has an amazing staff, our server was extremely nice and tried to accommodate all our requests, he even suggested improvements. The location is on the smaller size when compared with others, but they do have both indoors and outdoors seating for small and large parties.
