Cool hacienda atmosphere. Waitress was pretty attentive to us. Kept tea and water flowing. The food was, mmm, lacking in freshness. Brisket tacos were all fat and hardly no meat, I'm pretty sure the chili on the enchiladas was canned. If that's what you're into. This place was fantastic, really surprised it's not rated higher. We had guests from out of town and they wanted Tex-mex, los Hermanos was closest proximity. We went in and ordered to go. Both the hostess and a server stopped to talk to us, ask if we had questions. We ordered fajita nachos, fajita quesadillas and a chicken burrito, chips and salsa. Everything was great, Mexican places are a dime a dozen in DFW, and this was a solid meal at a good price. We will be back! read more

Coming into the restaurant you are seated and given menus and silverware. There is old school Mexican decor and the tables and chairs are beautiful. I ordered the ribeye steak and my husband ordered the mixed fajitas. The beans and rice were okay and the fajitas were okay. The tortillas were also okay. We went here during lunch time on a Friday. The prices were very reasonable and affordable. The service was very good. I ordered the taco salad for $12 dollars while my wife got the seafood enchilada. They did give us a lot of chips and salsa which bad my stomach very bloated. I ended up being full during the entire day and night. Food was decent. The atmosphere was great as well. If you are paying through credit credit, they make you scan a QR code and you enter the credit card information. Not so sure if it is more convenient or not. Update: Thank you for the good customer service and delicious food! I got to eat again after coming back to spend the time with the family here in Forney. Missed the restaurant after a year away got to eat good food here. My parents, sister, brother in-law, nieces and nephew enjoyed the food. You need to try the tortilla soup with cheese and veggies one of my favorites. We had one cup tortilla soup, one bowl tortilla soup, quesadilla de queso y chicken with cream cheese and Guacamole and tacos with rice and beans. Thank you for the amazing food! Everyone was extremely nice here the entire staff. We were greeted at the door and immediately seated. Our server George was right there to take our drink and appetizer order. He came right back with both then took our food order. Food was prompt and presented well. It was extremely good we will be back. The table guacamole was excellent. read more

Beware their bait n switch drink prices!! I ordered two meals to go and decided to have a blood Mary while waiting. The service was so slow and the food took so long I had a second Bloody Mary. Imagine my surprise at being charged $28 for two bloody Mary's. According to the manager, the Bloody Mary mix is $8 (small glass full of ice, so about six ounces.) They asked if I wanted house vodka or Tito's so I just said Tito's. Well, that was another $6/drink. On top of that, the first Bloody Mary was so salty it wasn't even good. When I ordered the second one, I asked for no salt and it was better. It seemed like the bartender thought the salt goes IN the drink instead of on the rim. I'm appalled at their drink prices,especially for Bloody Mary mix. Are cokes and tea also $8? I told the manager she needs to train her staff to tell people up front what those drinks are going to cost. If the bartender had said the bloody mary was going to be $14, id have skipped it. or just had a beer. Just to add the cherry on top of this overpriced experience, the meal was wrong when i got it home. We have supported this small business for eight years, including through Covid, but we're done. There's other good Mexican food in Forney where you don't get robbed at the bar. read more

Great food. They make their own corn and flour tortillas. And the tamales are made by them too! Not store bought or from some other provider. Service was nice and friendly and they have bar and food specials every day. Menu is nice and big, plenty of choices for everyone. This place was very good when I moved to Forney 14 years ago. Today I had overly salted fajitas. In the past I loved their steak quesadillas, but the quality went down. The meat is cheap and greasy and the price went up. I would rather leave the quality and increase the price. I wish they would return to the quality I originally experienced. read more

My husband ordered the chicken flautas. The chicken was dry with no flavor. He drenched it with guac and sour cream for some flavor. $40 with tip for two plates. The service was decent. This is a great hidden authentic Mexican restaurant in Forney. The food is so good (the street tacos and shrimp cocktail) are my go-to meals. The servers are always so nice and Martin is the best. Wasn't too impressed with this place but didn't really expect much. This Mexican restaurant is average, not terrible but definitely not the best I've had. To start I ordered take out and when picking up the order the hostess was not welcoming at all. She barely said anything and when she did it was with a bit of attitude. I got the beef fajitas and subbed the beans for extra rice. As you can see from the photo they gave me all onions and maybe two bell peppers which was disappointing. The steak was tough and dry making it hard to bite into the fajita without taking a whole piece out. The rice was also dry and tasteless. Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The barbacoa street tacos here were fantastic and highly recommended. The salsa was great and had slightly more kick to it than your typical Mexican restaurant but not so much that it would be too hot for someone. This restaurant is a place you stop by to have a quick meal. We ordered guac and queso and the guac had no seasoning and the queso is the one you get at the movie theater; it's not homemade. I do like movie theater queso so that was great! I ordered 3 street tacos (chicken, beef and barbacoa) and the tacos were DRY. I was shocked. No flavor and dry. The beans that came with the meal were great through and the rice didn't have flavor as well. Overall, the food isnt spectacular but the servers were wonderful! I just placed a to go order. I got home and ate almost all of it until my grand baby pointed out that there were little black and white bugs crawling all over it. I can't see well so I didn't notice it. My kids recorded multiple videos of the bugs crawling all over my order. I called the restaurant to let them know and they said it's impossible. I told them I could send the videos of the bugs, but was told they couldn't get videos. I feel disgusted and feel like they didn't care. I wasn't asking for anything free or even my money back. The fact that they didn't care and tried to say it was impossible tells me a lot. I liked this place before this incident and now I don't want to eat out anymore. read more

Came in with my wife who is Hispanic, I'm white. The waiter that we had clearly had a problem with this and made it known. Rude as hell to me but all nice to her. Basically threw my hot sauce down and nicely handed hers to her. Refilled her drink, made me wait. The food was NOT that good. I had the enchilada dinner, one cheese one beef. Came in for dinner and had the Beef Nachos for appetizer for the two of us (wife was with me) and it was delicious. Chips and Salsa were tasty. Wife had Beef Jalapeño plate and it was 5 stars. Five stars because of entire experience. Walked in, treated attentively and the place was clean. The booth actually smelled like soap. Tea was perfect. Not too sweet, not too tart. Perfect amount of ice. Waitress was helpful but not overly so. She even said she had a favorite dish, which is a good indicator of the food. Tortilla chips were fresh, warm and not too greasy. Ordered the street tacos (steak), chicken taco salad, beef enchilada and the sampler plate. Tacos were yummy. Fresh meat, warm and reminded me of California. Taco salad was fresh, flavorful and the tortilla shell was crispy, fresh and well seasoned. Enchiladas were tasty. Salsa was fresh, spicy and I ate enough to be happy with the portions.
