Holy heck, I was walking by as I went to donate plasma and couldn't stop thinking " how good could it be?" I love Costa Rican food & Salvadoran food but have yet to try Honduran food. I say " why not, I deserve a little treat" (was not little at all). I walk in and I'm transported. The place is beautifully decorated. The tables painted on with the most beautiful of scenery, I had just finished watching pirates of the Caribbean so it was fitting. I didn't know what to get. I had to search up common Honduran food beforehand to get a better understanding but to my surprise I didn't find any websites that painted the real picture. I order the tajadas con carne Molida and I fell in love, I see San Pedro's baleada for 3.50 and I thought well I'm on a budget. It's cheap it might be a nice little appetizer. It was HUGE and so freshly made, the tortilla ripped, didn't break, the cream and cheese made me feel like the cow was truly loved, the owner Sandra made me feel seen and welcomed and she let me try the agua Frescas, the horchata was out of this world and I couldn't believe it, you can most definitely eat for 20$ for two people. You really want to come for the flour tortillas. Got the carne asada because this was what I was told they sold the most of. It was ok but the star of the show was the homemade flour tortillas. They were much better and bigger than the corn tortillas. They did do a cheese quesadilla for my youngest son and that was great. A few things, order was taken by what looked to be the owner who was very pleasant. Service was really really slow with all our dishes coming out almost like one or two at a time. Hard to communicate since we don't speak Spanish. Lastly the flan was just kind of ok. The sauce that came with it tasted funny. Since I met my husband I've had my share of Honduran restaurant experiences and this one now ranks like #1! Cleanliness, service & food- top tier for a Latin/hispanic restaurant. Had nice upbeat Honduran music going on in the background. Food was great! I had Baleadas, I'm picky about my baleadas and these were right on! My husband had Carne Asada con tajadas and he really loved the food as well. One other thing that stood out for me was the list of beverages they had! I was excited to have choices! lol oh and the cultural art they have around the restaurant is phenomenal. I felt like I was in a museum! Went on a Sunday around 1:30pm. Parking was easy to find. The service was good, a little slow but the place was packed and stayed packed the entire time we were there. EVERYTHING we tried was so so delicious and flavorful. My favorite was the carne asada costeña! The banana bread was also great! Highly recommend! Can't wait to go back!! read more

The portions here are as follows: Breakfast is filling. Don't fool yourself on thinking you can eat three different plates. This is the opposite of tapas! Appetizers can be entrees or items that could easily fill you up Entrees are meant for two to three people. The special platters are a meal for four people. The tamarindo was probably the least sweet I've ever had. This will either deter or attract, depending on your preference. For me, it was quite refreshing without the usual sugar crash or dehydration. Their horchata has a good amount of cinnamon as well as rice starch in the mix. The baleada mixto supreme is an absolute must. Probably one of the better beleadas you can get, with everything they put in it. Fluffy flour tortilla bread, tons of grilled veggies, meat and cream, this The catrachitas we're like fried tostadas in presentation, topped with the breakfast ingredients like beans cheese and egg. This was an instant hit, with the crispy fried flavors bursting with every bite. Easily sharable, since they give you two. The tierna pollo de tajadas was not what I expected, buts still delicious. They give you a slightly fried leg quarter, smothered with the dressed cabbage, under a bunch of plantains. It feels like home cooking food, and you will feel full after eating all of what I listed. The special platter felt like It was meant to feed an army. Tons of grilled meat and some veggies that were quite tasty. What are you waiting for?! Just go here already! read more

This review was hard to post because I really wanted to love this place, especially seeing it has 5 full stars on Yelp. When walking in, I thought the restaurant was very cute with a nice family-oriented vibe. I'm pretty sure the owner was there as well during our visit and he seemed very polite and attentive. I thought the menu was reasonably priced and enjoyed the atmosphere, but overall found the food to be good (not 5 stars great) and the service from our waitress to be horrendous. Our waitress couldn't even look at us when we ordered, making us repeat ourselves several times, then brought us the wrong tortillas, took 10 minutes to bring us a lukewarm cup of café con leche (pretty sure it was just Nescafé), brought our side of plantains out after I was half finished with my meal and then tried to bring out the shrimp cocktail we ordered as an appetizer when we asked for the check. I try to be understanding with things like this, but honestly the level of carelessness seemed intentional. I probably won't be back here. unfortunately. read more

I'm so glad we decided to give this place a try! It was definitely the highlight of our trip! I had the Desayuno San Pedro with carne asada. Usually, I don't have high expectations for meat quality in smaller places but holy crap was this meat tender and very flavorful. We had the Baleadas that was complimentary with yelp check in, and ordered an additional one with chorizo just to try. Both were very good and soooo filling. The flour tortillas have a consistency closer to naan and they are amazing! Would also recommend not missing out on their corn tortillas as they were just as fresh and delicious. We also got to try the fried plantains and they were surprisingly sweet. The prices were inexpensive and portion sizes are very generous. The service was great and mostly just locals here. We will for absolutely be back here next time we're in town and highly recommend everyone should give this place a try. read more

Well, this was a nice surprise. We found this spot on Yelp after looking for a quick bite near our office building, and we weren't disappointed. Authentic Honduran food at a great price, with good flavors and friendly service makes this a place we'll come back to. Little details make the meal, I think, and in this case the refried beans were sprinkled with some kind of tangy cheese (wow) which made it much more delicious than the average side order. The chicken and carne asada were both fantastic , and we also enjoyed the fried plantains and fried bananas that came with our orders. The one thing I didn't entirely like was that the flavor of the plantains and bananas seemed a little bland. This is a caveat because of my preference for sharper flavors, and others might enjoy the simple, earthy flavor of the fruits themselves. **note: for the few negative reviews who point out price--I'm confused. I ordered their carne asada after reading some reviews and asking the staff about it, and it came out timely. The plate includes rice, salad, beans, and the steak cuts with either a tortilla or friend bananas. All parts of this dish are savory and tasty; the rice is soft, the beans aren't too salty, the salad is a great palate cleanser, and the spotlight meat is deliciously seasoned, tender, and well cooked. It was a bit warm inside, but all the fans were on and our waitress made sure to keep our waters filled throughout our stay. My husband ordered the Carne Asada, which was really flavorful and came with rice, salad, and green plantains. I had a huge craving for fish so I ordered the Pescado Entomatado, which was about $21 for the medium size. I definitely could have split it with another person, but it was so yummy! Their salad dressing is also Mayo-based, so no dairy allergens. My favorite part was ending the meal with their grilled plantains, which is my all-time favorite dessert. San Pedro's was my first experience eating Honduran food and it definitely did not disappoint! My husband ordered the Mita's Baleadas Supreme and it was absolutely delicious. The tortilla was easily the best part. I got the Carne Asada Costeña and the steak on it was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. The dressing on top was a great accompaniment, next time I'll definitely ask for extra of it! We also ordered a glass of Horchata which was some of the best I've ever had.
