The service was horrible the girls that work here are so rude and they stay talking about everyone that comes in and all they do is wear AirPods and be on their phones. Also they be taking pictures of themselves instead of working on their customer service skills and I'm a restaurant owner myself and I don't think them wearing AirPods is something they should do. Such a horrible customer service experience I also do videos of restaurants and I for sure will be doing one for this place.

    Marinated steak tacos

Let me start off by saying this whole process of trying to eat at the restaurant took about an hour and it was the most stressful ordeal ever. As I type this, I still haven't received my order almost an hour ago and I'm now going back to reorder because I've invested too much time in this one meal I haven't eaten. The online website link doesn't work for me so I couldn't even access a menu to reorder over the phone and the English/Spanish barrier was significant to make it difficult over the phone as well. I walked in and i guess they realized i was the one blowing up their phone and had my order ready but not without a twist: they were out of one item i asked for. I said okay to whatever they had at this point and paid and left. It was still packed when i left so people love their food and I don't blame them. Service was just not up to par. The tacos were A little cold but that was probably because it was waiting for me upon arrival. I wish they had made the order 30 minutes prior when I asked and had it ready but instead it was ready an hour later upon me making a very frustrated call 10 minutes to my arrival and even then my food was still waiting out for me so it wasn't as hot and fresh as I would like it to be.I can see why a lot of people go there and it was pretty good but it was not as great as it would've been if I wasn't frustrated. I'm not sure if I will go back or recommend others to go back but I can't ignore the fact that the food is good. I do have a thing for wanting good customer service especially when I'm paying for it which is not a lot to ask. I do hope that this review allows them to be a little more cognizant of the customers that walk in and out even if you have a full restaurant weekend and packed room.

Pupusa de Pollo y Queso, Enchilada, & Empanada de Carne

***Warning steep entrance to the Parking lot of the back of the restaurant. & order food to go**** When I come here, I usually order food to go and I enter from the back. Its kind of confusing here (maybe because I entered from the rear) Im not sure if the hostess was not prepared to welcome me with menus or if they were just occupied. I just walked in, sat myself and found a menu with bad typography, bad photos and spelling. Even with a kitchen that appears to be inside out and not too busy, i was suprised there was some trash on the floor and cleaning supplies next to the dining tables. I ordered pupusas, enchiladas, and empanada de carne. The pupusas are made fresh on the spot but the cabbage did not look fresh. The enchilda were good and would order again. The empanada may have been slightly over cooked. I would order again but eating here feels weird. The decor of the place was poorly done.

The special Apple Cider Reposado margarita was good but we didn't taste any of the cider, just straight up tequila but it was good. You can also order margaritas in passion fruit, mango, strawberry, and hibiscus flavors. They get extra points because of the passion fruit flavor. The complimentary chips were okay, but the salsa stood out, it had an authentic/in house made flavor. For the main meals, everyone at the table was satisfied. We had an order of the shrimp and chicken fajitas, beef floutas and the salmon a la parrilla, grilled salmon topped with homemade mango salsa served with mixed green salad, rice & beans. The mango salsa was tasty but I didn't like how runny it was. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the restaurant itself looked clean and well-kept, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. I would come back and try a few other items on the menu. The online menu is a bit different from what we had in person, I didn't see the mussels on the menu given to us in the restaurant. Happy Hour is from 3-7pm. This is a solid spot for a casual night out with friends for good margaritas, authentic touches, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The service was on point, quick, welcoming, and they actually guided me toward something great instead of just taking the order. Went with the Plato Brian and it was the right call. Everything on the plate was flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying without feeling sloppy. The handmade tortillas really sealed it for me, there's something about that fresh, slightly imperfect texture that just hits different. Took me straight back to homemade meals. Had to try the pupusas too, cheese & pork is my go-to, and these delivered. Crispy outside, packed with flavor inside. Also, I've been searching for a good horchata around the DMV, and this one is definitely up there. Smooth, not chalky, and a little sweet (which I personally prefer). Big bonus: I grabbed food to-go for my wife, who's vegetarian, and they had legit options, not just an afterthought. She tried the spinach, loroco & cheese, and bean & cheese pupusas, plus the Salvadoran breakfast, and was impressed. This is the kind of place that does the basics really well, and that's what keeps people coming back.

It's always crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. I usually keep it simple and get it with salad or vegetables, and it hits every time. So delicious. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, and they stay pretty busy with both dine-in and carryout orders, which is always a good sign. It is located in a sketchy part of Laurel, so just be mindful of that when you're heading over. But overall, if you're craving authentic Salvadorian food, this spot is definitely worth it.

We were a party of three on a Monday, and there was only one other party of three seated. The rest of the restaurant, a large open space with tables and chairs, as well as booths, was empty. There's a bar to the right side, kitchen in the far back. It's clearly set up for shows, performances, screenings, and/or dancing with a raised stage toward the entrance and a projector screen. The service was very good. The server was friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and attentive. There was a small language barrier but we overcame it by rephrasing, repeating, and gesturing. My companions ordered the quesabirria tacos, which they both devoured and raved about. The tacos did look visually stimulating, were served hot, and were a large portion for the price. I ordered the huevos rancheros without beef, and it was tasty but not astounding. The side of beans tasted like a shot of vodka was added in it and tasted terrible. I also ordered tamarindo but they were out of stock. They also didn't have tamal de elote, which was disappointing but not surprising since it's winter. I then opted for the lemonade, which was freshly made and does not come come with free refills. Soft drinks are can sodas, not from a fountain drink machine.

The cooked onions were a bit different for me as I'm used to the raw diced onions. Oommggg...these tacos were packed with flavor and gave me a sense of an authentic Mexican taco. I can't believe I waited so long to for this place a shot. This will definitely be on my frequently visited spots. On top of all that, the gentleman at the counter was super friendly.
