    Carne Asada

I ordered queso y chicharron but mine were mushy... maybe they were revuelta and had beans in them? Nice place, lots of tables. They were pretty busy and said it would take 20 min but we got our order in 10 min. My son liked the carne asada. I loved that they had caldo and lots of other choices but if pupusas are on the menu, that's what I'm sticking with!

The pupusas here were really good. If I were rating based on the food alone, I would give this place 5 stars. However, I'm removing a star because the ordering and pricing information was not clearly explained. When I ordered, the cashier (who I believe may be the owner) did not clarify that there were different sizes or price options for certain items. Each time I ordered something, he automatically rang up what appeared to be the largest or most expensive option without explaining that there were alternatives. I only realized there were different sizes and prices after I had already paid and was leaving. When I tried to ask about the price differences, my question was ignored, which made the situation feel intentional and left me feeling uncomfortable about the experience. The food was genuinely great, but clearer communication about options and pricing would make the experience much better for customers.

Pupusas were good overall, very cheesy and flavor was there, was craving pupusas and this was one of the closer ones to me as I live in corona, but I had not had pupusas since I moved out here from the San Fernando valley, and I have to say these were pretty solid pupusas I had the revueltas and jalapeño con queso

The Food Here Is Sooo Good And So Fresh Tasting. The Pupusas Were Perfectly Filled And Delicious. The Service Is Good, Very Helpful And Kind. The Restaurant It's Self Is Very Clean. Definitely My New Go To Spot For Pupusas.

very delicious food but i feel like they need to explain when things have an upcharge. also if they see guests sitting at an empty table, it would be helpful to greet them and let them know how the ordering process works instead of having them sit there for a long time. a lot of people come in for the first time not knowing you have to order first and then sit down. very clean though and love the music

Hands down best pupusas served. Last 7 days, we've ordered 3x. Lol Highly recommend this spot. Pupusas are made larger than expected (a positive) and generously filled. Pupuseria La Sierra offers a wide variety of pupusas. Restaurant is causal, lots of tables and available parking. Staff are friendly. 10/10 recommend! Well 5 out 5 when it comes to Yelp.

How are the fish tacos here? Can you compare to "Señor Baja's?"

Hi, our fish tacos were on the menu as a seasonal item. An opportunity to free an option during lent. I have to say that the fish tacos were very good. Hope that helps

Are the cheese pupusas vegetarian? Any vegan options?

    Nope

Instead of trying to find out HOW meat got into my bean and cheese pupusa, she chose to be sarcastic and defensive about my experience without taking any accountability. She also said that their prices are "a little up there" and "are not meant for everyone" even though no one mentioned they had high prices. So she just went out of her way to...what? Call me poor? Weird. Please stop telling people that your cheese and beans are vegan; they are not. And it's not even always vegetarian either because I 100% got meat in mine and if you say you don't use ground meat in your pupusas, then I am even MORE concerned about what was in mine if it wasn't that. No wonder it upset my stomach all day! What the heck kind of meat was that?! You are clearly not a doctor so please don't try to tell me to go to the ER for an upset stomach. When vegetarians (and vegans) consume meat, we end up with a bad upset stomach - often for a full 24 hours or longer. It's like food poisoning to us. And I got it from your pupusas. She says: "We never said we are vegetarian connoisseurs." LOL lady, you're not even pupusa connoisseurs! I do agree with her on one thing though: Las Ploras pupusas "are not meant for everyone". I would keep that in mind the next time you're looking for good pupusas.

My husband and I came in and the first thing we noticed was how incredibly hot it was inside the restaurant. The older lady at the front was very nice and took our order. I ordered a torta and forgot to mention that I didn't want beans. That's completely my fault. After sitting down for a while, I suddenly remembered and immediately went back to the register. There was another older lady with glasses working the front. I politely said, "Oh my gosh, ma'am, I'm so sorry. I forgot to ask for no beans. Does the torta come with beans?" She said yes. I apologized again and asked if there was any way they could remove the beans or simply change the bread. Her response was, "No, it's already done. You should have thought about that when you first ordered the torta." I again admitted that it was my mistake and that it had simply slipped my mind, and I asked if there was anything they could do. She said no and told me that if I wanted a torta without beans, I would have to pay for an entirely new one. I understand that I made the mistake, but the issue wasn't the beans, it was the attitude and lack of customer service. I work in the food and restaurant industry myself, and if a customer came to me and said they accidentally forgot to mention something on their order, I would do everything I could to make it right because that's how customer service should be handled. I love my customers, want them to return, and want them to leave happy and share positive experiences. The pupusas were absolutely delicious, but customer service is top-tier for me, and because of this experience, I will definitely not be returning. It seemed like this employee simply didn't care about the customer experience, and unfortunately, that's how businesses lose customers. I hope management addresses this issue because the lady with glasses either needs additional customer service training or needs to change the way she treats customers. A little kindness and understanding go a long way. Also, my boyfriend is a content creator and was recording our experience, so this interaction will likely be featured on his YouTube channel as well. Great food can bring people in once, but great customer service is what brings them back.

They have a surcharge for credit card so we paid cash but still came out to over $30 for one Pupusa Loca and an horchata. The cashier explained the Pupusa Loca was a lot more bc it included all the meats, including shrimp. Of course, NO SHRIMP inside. Nada. Not even an errant shrimp tail to be found. Just a glorified quesadilla tbh. More cheese than anything else inside. Though the shell was crisp and delicious, it wasn't worth $20-25 for fried masa. More insulting was they went out of their way to ask if we'd like our horchata now or when the pupusa was ready. I opted for now. No other customers around but us and our baby waiting without shade in the summer heat. My bro politely waited for them before asking if we could get our drink now. Then they hand us two horchatas by mistake and snatch the extra away instead of just giving it to us for waiting with our baby who is yelling, "Cha cha, cha chaaa!!" Cold blooded. The horchata was one of the worst I've ever had. Just sugar water. No cinnamon, no rice, no love. Pretty much sums up what they are about.
