BUT... there's something I saw that honestly threw me off. They bring curtido to the table in a jar (cool, no problem), but when we were done, I noticed they take whatever is left and dump it back into a big container in the back to reuse. That means it's basically being shared between multiple tables. I'm not trying to be dramatic, but that's just not sanitary. Once food hits a table, it shouldn't be going back into circulation. It kind of kills the vibe knowing you might be eating something that's been on someone else's table already. If they fixed that, this place would easily be a 4 or even 5 star spot. First time visiting this Pupuswria restaurant. Large indoor dining area and staff here are efficient. There's even a large TV on the wall so you can watch FiFA games. Overall it was easy to place my order but it took a long time to get my food. I had to ask the staff twice and they went back twice to check on my order. I got only the chorizo pupuseria and it was quite delicious. One order cost around $5 but it was quite large and packed with chorizo meat. I've driven past here many times and finally decided to try it. I ordered pupusas revueltas. They are reasonably priced and they were a good size with sufficient stuffing for the price. They also offer the regular salsa and spicy salsa, the latter is not always offered at Pupuserias. My only complaint was that the pupilas were a bit salty for my taste, but other than that they were fine. I will come back to order from the rest of the menu, but so far... so good. read more

Best Salvadoran food in the area! The pupusas are delicious, generously sized, and the soups are flavorful with large portions. The prices are also much more affordable compared to Los Cherros in Riverside. The only reason I'm not giving Pupuseria La Sierra 5 stars is because of a few recent disappointments. I ordered an atol de elote, and it was extremely watered down--it tasted more like warm sweetened milk with corn kernels than traditional atol. I was very disappointed. I also ordered the sopa de gallina, and unlike the traditional Salvadoran style, the chicken was not grilled and served separately with a salad. Additionally, the yuca frita was very discolored and did not look appetizing at all. I think the restaurant may need to step up its game, especially now that there is new competition in the area. That said, I will continue to support this establishment because the food is generally very good and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I'll just avoid ordering the sopa de gallina, yuca frita, and atol de elote in the future, as those items don't seem to be their specialties. read more
