I really wish I had read the reviews before coming here because my experience with customer service was very disappointing. My husband and I came in and the first thing we noticed was how incredibly hot it was inside the restaurant. The older lady at the front was very nice and took our order. I ordered a torta and forgot to mention that I didn't want beans. That's completely my fault. After sitting down for a while, I suddenly remembered and immediately went back to the register. There was another older lady with glasses working the front. I politely said, "Oh my gosh, ma'am, I'm so sorry. I forgot to ask for no beans. Does the torta come with beans?" She said yes. I apologized again and asked if there was any way they could remove the beans or simply change the bread. Her response was, "No, it's already done. You should have thought about that when you first ordered the torta." I again admitted that it was my mistake and that it had simply slipped my mind, and I asked if there was anything they could do. She said no and told me that if I wanted a torta without beans, I would have to pay for an entirely new one. I understand that I made the mistake, but the issue wasn't the beans, it was the attitude and lack of customer service. I work in the food and restaurant industry myself, and if a customer came to me and said they accidentally forgot to mention something on their order, I would do everything I could to make it right because that's how customer service should be handled. I love my customers, want them to return, and want them to leave happy and share positive experiences. The pupusas were absolutely delicious, but customer service is top-tier for me, and because of this experience, I will definitely not be returning. It seemed like this employee simply didn't care about the customer experience, and unfortunately, that's how businesses lose customers. I hope management addresses this issue because the lady with glasses either needs additional customer service training or needs to change the way she treats customers. A little kindness and understanding go a long way. Also, my boyfriend is a content creator and was recording our experience, so this interaction will likely be featured on his YouTube channel as well. I wish I would have got to try their food because it smelled and looked good however the service was wack. The minute me and my friend walked in there we weren't greeted or nothing and as soon as I get close to the register to order the first thing out the man's mouth is " are you guys ready to order" no smile just dead serious . Best pupusas we've found in the area. Have yet to get bad service, we must be regulars I guess. We have not tried other dishes besides pupusas, and their aguas frescas (decent). They do have a card fee, so maybe suggest paying cash if you don't want to pay the fees. read more

Honestly the pupusas here are very good!! The downfall is the attitude of lady's operating the front.. it will really test you. If you ask for them to separate your pupusas or your condiments you'll get the eye roll and the snappy attitude, if the cost of things are the problem just charge us for the extra packaging.. they will also not answer on purpose so if your trying to order you might just want to drive there, I called for an hour straight thinking maybe they were closed and I drove there and they were open ( like I said the pupusas are "THE BOMB" but the customer service is RUDE!!!! read more

Dona Ana's pupuseria is locates off Mission Blvd in Pedley. There is parking behind the building and extremely limited parking in the front which is shared with a Barber Shop. They are open for take out only. NO DINE IN! NO OUTDOOR SEATING as of 8/27/20. The exterior and interior reflect classic Salvadoran decor, colors, and themes. My husband, who is Salvadoran, agreed that the restaurant does convey the experience of being Salvadoran. We ordered 7 Revueltas (my favorite). They came with Curtido and Salsa de Tomate. The salsa was spicy for myself and my daughter. My husband liked it and said it reminded him of flavors back home. But for me it was too hot and I regretted dumping a large amount on my pupusa. Hence, 4 stars for spiciness and not disclosing that it could be intense for some diners. Overall, it's a good spot and would return again. read more

My family and I have been to this establishment many times. The quality of food is top notch and the food tastes authentic. Salvadoran food is best known for pupusas. Theirs are not greasy like other places. Quality taste with the shredded cabbage as an accessory. I also like their caldo de gallina and res. Robust vegetables in a savory broth. If your coming here make sure to not bring your kids, Apparently the owner and the waitress don't like it when the children eat and leave crumbs off the plate. I don't know if they expected me to clean the entire table before leaving? Maybebut they don't have containers there. The point is that I went back to buy something else and the waitress was making comments about how they left the table, I hear her and I reply I'm sorry ! while the owner had the nerve to ask me if they leave it the same way at home. I answered yes almost all the time ! MADAM THEY ARE CHILDREN and I haven't seen a restaurant where a table is perfect once they finish eating. We barely noticed this little place as we drove by. it's on a back country road, no visible parking lot, the properties around it look unkept, and the neighborhood is on the desert gritty rough side. Now that we know what Dona Ana has to offer, we will never drive by again without stopping! Some foods should be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of culture. I called to see if they still offered their Tuesday pupusa special. First off she answered super annoyed as though she was busy. I simply asked if they had the special today. She answers literally yelling that "they don't have any specials there". I said ok before covid I would always go in on Tuesdays or Fridays for their specials she yelled at my again saying "they took those specials off" & hung up on me. I love the food! The banana empanadas Omg out of this world! I had the pupusas chicharron and cheese and the fajitas, I love the cheese! Perfect for the pupusas. The red sauce for the pupusas is a little bit spicy but I was smart enough to taste it before putting it all over my pupusa. It was even better without the sauce to be honest. I had to wait 20 mins for the food but it's okay because if you want good food you gotta wait patiently. Services I had a guy ring me up and felt like I was talking to my own family member.
