    Fried Yucca

I knew I would love the food when I stepped in the building. We ordered ... 1 Birria Papusa 2 Carne Asada Papusas 2 Loca Papusas 2 Beef Pastelios Fried yucca with chicharron Everything hit. Food was flavorful and delicious , woman making the food was kind. The fried yucca oh my god perfect. Being from the east coast many bodegas have hidden holes in the wall like this right here. We will be back for sure ! Great job ! Photos are after we dove in . Portions were great!

My go to place for pupusas. I believe the only El Salvadorian restaurant in Vallejo. They have other Salvadorian dishes fried cassava, tamales etc but I mainly go for their pupusas. May be a bit too greasy for some but when you have a craving it hits the spot. This establishment is cash only, service is quick and friendly!

You know those moments you have when you eat something so good, you continue to eat even when you're full? THIS PLACE WAS THAT MOMENT. I cannot believe I lived in Vallejo for most of my life only to find this gem now. Apparently, they've been in business since the 90's. It's pretty small and definitely not the place to dine in - currently it is take-out only. It's a small place where there's really only room for 1-2 people to order and wait outside. I came in around 3pm and to my surprise, no one was here. This place deserves more recognition for the quality pupusas they serve. I waited five minutes tops for two fresh pork and cheese pupusas and I paired it with some salsa verde. It was a perfect lunch for me. The pupusas go for $3.50 each, and honestly felt like I spent the best $7 ever. I cannot wait to come back for more. Tip: BRING CASH. This place is cash only and they do not accept bills over $20.

Best pupusas in town. It's hard to find a place that offers at least 1 (non salad) vegan option but this place had it. We ordered the bean and cheese, chicken and cheese, and vegan pupusas - they were all good! They cook them right there and then from scratch so expect a bit of a wait - that is totally worth it! The owner even let us know that some clients bring their own vegan cheese to add - not that it needs it :) We will definitely be going again in the future.

The vegan pupusas were yummy! I wish the sauce was in a cup instead of a bag. And hopefully one day they will stop using styrofoam cups.

As my Salvadorean friend reported to me they are the most authentic, using purple cabbage for their curtido.

We loved their red spicy sauce and super crunchy fresh curtido. They are packed into small zip lock bags. I forgot to take photos since I was hungry. This little shop is in the middle of nowhere next to a small auto parts shop and parking is limited. The immediate area is ugly and industrial but the pupusas keep us coming back. Best taken to go. It's not a comfortable spot to eat in. We paid 4 dollars per pupusa to go. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

My go to is the 3/$12 Revuelta pupusas and the Plantains with the beans . Top tier beans and plantains. I am so glad I found this place. It is very close to my work. I do recommend calling in your order at least 30 minutes before so that it'll be ready for you to pick up. sometimes they do not answer their phone but they will give you a call back. Keep in mind they do not accept tap pay, but they do accept Zelle and Venmo if you need to make a mobile payment. It is small and cozy inside but there are at least 4 tables if you want to dine in. They do have a few tvs if you were there to relax while waiting or out with your family. Being new to the area, this place will definitely be my go to for pupusas.

The outside was grilled to perfection--well done... *not* undercooked like some pupuserias. Lively Latin music played at a nice volume where you can talk with your companions. Merengue and more. You give your order and are given a number. You pick your own seat. Signs are bilingual--mostly Latin patrons, which is my usual litmus test that usually means the food has authentic flavor, which I love and look for from ethnic dining experiences. The lady at the front told me 5more minutes for my order, I waited 10mins and nothing. When I went to ask again she told me my order had just come through their system? Make that make sense! And on top of that there were other orders just sitting on the counter getting cold and the lady at the front cares more about peeling mangos with her back to the front door then handing out the orders to the customers that are waiting! The manager talk to me and was able to get me my order but guess what? They gave me the wrong order. We tried the pupusas we were given, they were dry and barely any filling inside. So not even the food is good. Bad customer service which is very sad because i drove from Santa Rosa to give this location a try. Will not be coming back.
