My neighbor recommended this place to me after she heard about it on FB. Many allergists have retired or left the area in the past year and it was nice to see a new one open. I have been struggling with seasonal allergies for years. My primary care doctor had ordered bloodwork, and it said I was allergic to a few things, and I followed his advice, but it still wasn't enough. And after my last 2 recent sinus and nasal attacks not caused but what I already knew I was allergic to, it was time to get a specialist involved who knew what they were doing. The new patient process goes like this. I made my appointment on their website. I was able to select the date/time and request an appointment. I entered all the basics and submitted the request. A few hours later, one of the nurses called to confirm my information and the appointment. They took my insurance info as well to help you understand what you are covered for and let you know before you even go to your appointment. They also have a patient portal online to fill out questionnaires and complete all consents ahead of time (took me 5 minutes on my desktop, but they also have an app you can use). The place is in the complex with the pizza place, CHOP, Cardiology, and other doctors offices. You park outside the main atrium, walk inside, and turn right. They write directions in every email they send and even call you prior to your appointment to make sure you know how to get there and if you need help. The place was very clean and new. The waiting area even had a TV playing allergy/asthma topics so you learn a little while you wait. The front desk was quick and got me checked in within 5 minutes (scan the cards and charge a copay). No less than 5 minutes I was called back. They checked my height and weight and verified I completed all my intake forms. Turns out I forgot to complete the last page, but it wasn't a big deal - just added my list of meds. In walked Dr. Dhawan. We talked about my symptoms and she checked me out, did my blood pressure, checked my nasal passages, and talked to me about my symptoms and history. She also reviewed my blood test results. She questioned why it didn't match my reported history so she had me come back for the environmental allergy test. She described what the test was, what it tests for, how it feels (I got to hold the little white thing... Its not a real needle, just a plastic thing, by the way). Next visit, I did the skin prick test and I found out that I was allergic to way more things than I thought. The doctor recommended a nasal spray and antihistamine every day during pollination seasons and even showed me how to spray it. If it didn't work good enough, I could be a candidate for shots. I am looking into all options for now. She then explained what the body experiences when facing foreign allergens and why I feel miserable during certain times of the year. When I left I got a bunch of reading material from avoidance measures to FAQ for immunotherapy. I feel much better knowing what I know now thanks to this place. read more

this is a very new practice. It's set up in downtown Newtown, which is very nice and convenient. My previous allergist, retired and I was looking for a good replacement. What I found here was much more! not only were they able to help me with my asthma, the doctor also got me started on immunotherapy shots and I reached my maintenance within a couple weeks. This will have been impossible, and my previous doctor because he wanted me to come in for over a year every week. There's no way I was gonna stick to that schedule! at pure allergy here, I got everything done and just a few visits. And it feels night and day! if anyone is looking for a good doctor in Bucks County, I would definitely recommend coming here. Even if you're a little further out, but you want to start shots you should definitely come here. I don't think anyone else is even offering this. But it is amazing. read more

I have been suffering for allergy asthma for many many years. I am so delighted. I came across this practice. Dr Neetu Dhawan was the first and only doctor who took the time to sit down and explain my conditions and how they are affecting my body. her nurse called in advance and reviewed all my medication's and also providing me with best practices on how I can reduce exposure to allergens. sometimes when I go to see Dr dhawan I share a little bit more than I probably should. This is an amazing office and I am shocked its not crazy busy. I suffered from allergies my whole life and didnt want to start allergy shots due to the time committment. I was surprised when I found this office that performs rapid desensitization for allergy shots. It was quick, painless, and I reached maintenance in 3 weeks (my previous allergist told me it takes a year to get to this stage). I went to see Dr. Dhawan for my son's asthma. We had a good experience all around. We booked the appointment online, the staff called to confirm it within an hour. They provided an insurance estimate for me as well, so there were no surprises. We had almost no wait when we walked in (except for the time it took to scan insurance card and credit card info). Saw the doctor within a few minutes and had a very thorough examination. This was very different from another Asthma center experience we had in the past, and really recommend it to others. read more

I came here as a patient because I couldn't handle the spring. I never had it this bad, but this year was beyond terrible. I called around and some practices. Had you waiting almost 8 months for an appointment. This doctor got me in within 2 days. Everything was pretty straightforward. Spoke with the doctor and appointment to see what I was allergic to. of course, I lit up. She takes my insurance which was great. I had a good experience, and now my wife and daughter are patients here as well. As they say, it runs in the family! read more

this is the type of medical practice you hear about on TV, but you don't think it's real. The doctor takes her time to really sit down with you and help you understand Your condition and illnesses. Furthermore, the staff gets to know you and talk to you by your name. Not just as someone with an insurance card. It seems extremely White glove which I did not expect. Best Allergy doc in the area, hands down! I had a skin issue and got an appt pretty quickly. I have had a few visits here and never had a wait. They are upfront about getting insurance estimates for me so I dont really have much to worry about. I started getting better in a few weeks and almost all cleared up now. Great visit with friendly, caring staff. Dr. Neetu Dhawan helped identify what was causing my nonstop cough and sniffles for the past 8 months. I could not sleep a wink. It turns out that I developed a dust allergy and didn't know it. She helped explain steps I could take to help make my home less dusty and also started me on tablets to reduce the symptoms. I went to find a good allergy and asthma specialist to help continue my treatment. I used to go to ENT/Allergy but they closed in Yardley. Dr Dhawan took me as a patient. I stopped weekly and opted for her rapid desensitiion. a few weeks later and now once a month. it's great! wish I found her earlier. read more
