Honestly did not have a very positive experience at Puré Barre Sandy. The instructors are super nice, however what made it a negative experience was that two times I arrived 1 minute before class started and the door was already closed. And both times I was made felt bad and unwelcome when asking if I could still go in when the class had technically not even started. One of the times I was told "I am not sure because my manager is in class today." After these events I was told we had to be 5 min early to class to be able to join, however in the agreement that was emailed to me that was never stated, it even stated in PRINT you could be up to 5 min late. I was told it would be updated with that new information for future customers. Then on Sep.21, all panicking to not be 5 min early, I go to class EARLY for Empower class which is one of the ones you HAVE to be early for and then we don't start until 6:35 (5min late) because we are apparently "waiting for people" because "they could be in traffic". So certain people can be late, certain can't. And then you get charged or lose a class credit if you don't make it even if you try but show up and are late. Don't bother trying to call to let them know you will be late, still can't come in. Or so I was told this morning when I called because of the rain and traffic. This type of rigidness and disparity is personally just not for me. Additionally there is not a lot of ethnic diversity and the class times are limited and did not work very well with my schedule. Unless you don't have a job and can go in the morning or before 7pm this place is probably not for you. My personal experience, however glad that other people can enjoy it. Still in the 3 month contract so 2 of the months I haven't even gone despite having it paid. I personally just don't feel comfortable going there. My gf and I did the free foundations class with Courtney. It was so fun and challenging in the best way! It really works your whole body and Courtney was an awesome instructor. She helped me modify some of the moves I couldn't do and helped others with injuries. This was the second time I've taken a barre class and they're so great! I have been doing barre for over 15 years at studios all around the world. I have been to other pure barres. I have also worked in the service industry for over 20 years. This is the worst studio and worst service I have ever experienced in my life! I put my stuff in a locker with the keypad and set a code. For some reason after class the code that I always use was not working. These things can malfunction, I thought ok no big deal I'll ask them for the master key to open it. The owner was there so I asked her to open my locker. She said " You will have to hire a locksmith" I was shocked!!! She did not have the key. She didn't even help me she continued to make sales calls to try to sign other people up for membership. Umm Don't you want to take care of the existing customers that you have? I was stuck without my keys to my car, my wallet, or phone. and she acted like oh well. She made it seem like my fault and said no one ever uses the lockers. If you don't have the key and or you don't want anyone to use them then why isn't there a sign on them!!! I went behind the desk and called my husband to come with tools to help me! I should have called the Police because this woman could care less that I now can't go home or get my stuff. The police would have told her she needs to get my stuff out of the locker and can't hold it there. I am a pretty reasonable person, but this was nuts! My husband came thank goodness, Good thing he wasn't out of town! because she clearly wasn't going to help and wanted me to hire my own locksmith. Since when do customers take care of mistakes that owners make. If the bathroom door brakes, are we responsible for fixing that ourselves too? My husband said he can't get in without it braking so I asked her if she is paying for a locksmith, and she had the audacity to say " we can split it" at this point my husband and I were really pissed!!! My husband explained to her he can go in through the back and not damage the lock. She said we need to wait for her husband's permission. Almost 3.5 hours later he comes to give us permission to go in through the back. He was the only one who apologized for not having the key and even said they can malfunction. I would never in my life treat a client or customer like this. I would have been going above and beyond for them; I would have been on the phone finding a handy man or someone to help. Not leaving it up to the customer. I would have given them free months too! Because I know how valuable their business is. I really hope she doesn't teach her employees this is the way to handle an issue. I also hope she doesn't treat her employees this way. I love barre but this ruined me wanting to give this business any of money. I would have been a client for life but no way not after the way she treated me, and I will be sure to tell ALL of my friends to never step foot in there. On a side Note, Kendall is an awesome instructor and offered to go to target to get a screwdriver to help me because she didn't want me stranded. My husband and I both waisted our whole Saturday because they have lockers, they don't have a master key too!!!! read more

Buyer beware. A few months ago I was here for a business trip. At the time I was in the process of retiring from the Military and starting my new job. I purchased a four pack offered online and when I tried to redeem it was told I wasn't eligible to use. Mind you there was no eligibility criteria posted anywhere online, nor did I ever receive a copy of the contract outlining this. I was told by the staff I would have to pay full price for drop in class and opted to cancel/ request a refund. I was told I could not get a refund. I've done PB for 6 years and first studio I've ever had issues with. Not to mention that the staff was very obtuse. I checked their site a few weeks later and the 4 pack was no longer offered. Be very cautious with any deals they offer. They are not in the business of acting in good faith but instead taking your money. Proceed with caution! read more

I was told that you had to be a "member" and no drop in price. Also, I wanted to take a real class but, the app won't allow it. I love the PB classes, but only one reform class is offered and it's at an ungodly hour. I'll do my PB online for now and maybe they'll open one up in ST George. This location is terribly ran, do not fall for pressure of signing up and getting yourself locked in. I signed up with a friend after the trial class because we did love the class. The trial class is different from the regular classes and they don't set that expectation. You are also locked in for at least 3 months and the owner will not budge at all. My son with hospitalized at Childrens Primary for multiple weeks in and out and she not only continued to blow my phone up but would not cancel my membership. Due to my inability to talk to her verbally over the phone she kept charging me. After time has passed and I finally was able to get ahold of her, she canceled my membership but charged me an extra month. The owner here is rude and only cares about the money that's going into her pocket. The staff would also call and text my friend and I throughout the week if they don't see your attending- which was so pushy and aggravating. Don't waste your time. read more
