Which is a 45% markup sale price at the Distillery Lounge, could understand a 20-25% markup BUT NOT 45% , So I Definitely Won't Buy Their Product Again, they should take care of their customers better than that and there are Way to Many Just As Good Bourbon Whiskey Products. So If you want to buy their product DON'T BUY IT THERE , GO TO Total Wine & More or Costco.

The atmosphere at this distillery is a great mix of history, craft, innovation and true love for their business. During the tour we learned about their two distillery cats, who keep the grains safe from hungry little mice, who coincidentally are named after bootleggers :) We also learned about the ghost of a little girl, which the call Molly, and about the many business ventures and owners of this historic cabin. We learned that the stained glass are very special as there is no cross lead structure keeping the glass together, we learned about the Swedish blacksmith who furnished the huge fireplace (one of the largest in CO) with it's horseshoe ornamental hooks and other ironwork. We learned about the bomb shelter in the back, as well as proper procedures and temps needed to create the various proofs they produce here. Black Bear is the only distillery in the nation who has been able to obtain permission from Ireland to produce Irish Style Whisky abroad. They are just a great group of people, with a passion for spirits, that want to share their love and knowledge with the world. Go see them if you have a chance. New businesses are what breeds new life into small old towns like Green Mountain Falls. Take a trip up the pass, and go see this place. Better yet, get a map stamped and embark into a Colorado-wide distillery road trip. You won't be disappointed.

The information you are able soak up is incredible. In the end being able to demonstrate proper sampleing through nosing, and sipping techniques was alot if fun. Being able to differentiate all of the aromas and tastes through nosing, tasting, and understanding the whiskys finish helped in building an appreciation for Whiskys that much more. If you are passionate about Bourbon or Whisky this is definitely an adventure you should embark on. Great class!!

The staff members were great and I got to meet the owner, Rich. He was amazing on telling me all about their bourbon. I did some tasting and their products are great. The bourbon is legit and potent. I plan on getting some bottles for my friends to spread the word and have some fun.
