    Ordering area with goodies

Cute spot for grabbing some pre-made meals and goodies. They are able to warm up your food so it's ready to eat which is great when you're really hungry. There is a small high top seating area near the window that was perfect. Lots of beverage choices and the employee was very nice. Would recommend the WeVegan carrot cake, cold pad thai, and Cuban picadillo.

A gem of a place: all-vegan take-away spot, with fridges and shelves lined with prepared meals and snacks of all sorts. Very creative and good value dishes, including Asian noodle dishes, soups, salads, and so forth. I tried their sesame noodle bowl and their Greek farro salad -- both solid, especially the noodles.

Great spot for vegan eats! All of the meals are to go and they have daily specials. I picked up meals for the week and they are all delicious. They also have a variety of snacks and healthy juice/tea options. I like how everything is labeled explaining what is in it as well. If you have been wanting to try vegan and vegetarian food, and do not know where to start this is the place!

I Love that Tampa is becoming a city with more and more vegan options!! I have gotten the to go vegan meals in the past and they are always fresh and delicious! But now they have added vegan desserts/ cupcakes, pastries!! Got the vegan cupcakes made by Gabby Bakes and a vegan guava pastry! The mango cardamom was so yummy! And I loved the pistachio icing on the pistachio dark chocolate cupcake! Will definitely trying out more from this great vegan find soon!

Had it not been for their carrying Gabby Bakes Cupcakes, I never would've visited Pure Kitchen. It has one of those names that sounds like everything inside is so healthy that it just isn't that good. I was shocked at how wrong I was. Pure Kitchen is mostly a grab and go joint. They offer a couple of cold cases filled with their various vegan salads, soups, side dishes and meals. They also have some bottled teas and kombuchas. There is a lot to choose from and without their Instagram, it could be totally overwhelming. Each morning they post everything that they have in stock on their Instagram. Check it before you visit. On my various trips to Pure Kitchen, I've tried a few things from here. My favorites? The sesame noodles and the buffalo macaroni salad. By the register there are lots of desserts from various local bakers. You can pick up Gabby Bakes cupcakes, a variety of We Vegan Eats items and energy bars from 3 Bar. This area is a must when I visit. I am leaving with no less than two items in my possession. Weekends they offer brunch items. I've never checked these out but they sell out often so I'm going to take that as a sign that the brunch is pretty good. The prices competitive when you stack them up against chain retailers and other places that offer completely vegan items. Their focus on supporting local bakers and products, competitive prices and too notch grab and go items are all reasons why you should check out Pure Kitchen.

I can see why this place gets such great reviews - the food was delicious. I stopped in around 3:30 pm on a Thursday afternoon to pick up something for dinner. I was the only one in there at that hour, so I could take my time looking over the options. There is limited seating available, and minimal ambiance, so I feel like they are mostly set up to provide food to go. Since I was torn between two things, I decided to get both, which ended up being enough for three meals. Each entree I bought was $10. The first item I tried was the Asian noodles with vegetables. It was the only one left in the cooler, so I reasoned it must be good. And it was, if a little bit greasy. Not sure what oil or dressing was used, but perhaps it was a touch excessive. The meal was still flavorful, though. My favorite item, however, was the Pumpkin Chickpea Curry served with purple rice. This was outstanding! Rich in flavor, filling, and incredibly tasty. I can't wait to go back just for this. I also had a green matcha cookie which I did not love. It sadly had picked up some other strange flavor in either the cooking or storage process and the last couple bites had a really terrible flavor. But, that happens. I love that there is no dairy used in anything, and that all food items are labeled if they are Gluten-free, etc. Plenty of parking, friendly service, and delicious food make this a perfect place to stop and get food to go.

I've been waiting for a place like this my entire life. Finally the concept has come to life and with amazing and healthy food cooked with fresh ingredients. I don't have time or enjoy cooking much. I do a lot of Uber Eats but this is so much better than anything you could order, because of the quality of food you're getting. My favorite items that I've had so far have been: 1. The baked ziti (most definitely!) 2. The potato salad (amazing!) 3. The banana nut bread (make sure you eat it while it's fresh) The salmon dip was very good but I wouldn't say it tasted much like salmon dip. I liked a lot though! The curry mei fun was well made, but I wasn't crazy about the dish itself. The yucca soup was very good but not great! Excited to try everything on the menu.

    Ready to go meal.

Ready to go meals that are great. Every visit I'm grated with a smile everyone is really nice and helpful. If it's your first time visiting someone will help you find or create the perfect meal. Great location.

First off, the crunch is so loud it could qualify as a sound effect in an action movie. I took one bite and half expected someone to yell "CUT!" The chicken itself is juicy, but let's be honest it's really just a vehicle for that bang bang sauce, which tastes like sweet, spicy, and "text your ex you've changed" all rolled into one. I told myself I'd share. That was a lie. A bold faced, shameless lie. The plate hit the table and suddenly I turned into a territorial raccoon guarding its last meal. This is a new dish, if you can even call it one. Literally two slices of tuna, no side of sauce which it's supposed to have, a bunch of old cabbage for filling (even though the new container is half the size as it is), and what could be nothing else but soggy potato chips (yes, literally they put in chips, I don't even know how else to put it except it literally had chips in it). Pathetic. Completely pathetic.

We've celebrated multiple birthdays there with groups of 20-25 women, and they always make the experience feel effortless. While many Tampa restaurants require deposits, minimum spends, or limited menus for large parties, Oak & Ola simply welcomes us with open arms and genuinely seems happy to have us there. The service is consistently impeccable, the food is both beautiful and absolutely delicious, and the restaurant itself offers a gorgeous atmosphere with stunning waterfront views. It's clear that every detail matters to them. They reserve a special table for gifts, have even printed custom "Happy Birthday" menus for us, and on our most recent visit, Chef Margaret came out personally to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday. Our servers were phenomenal. They anticipated every need, kept everything running smoothly for such a large group, and never missed a beat. Coordinating a party our size is no small task, yet they made it look easy while making every single person feel cared for. If you're looking for a restaurant with exceptional food, outstanding service, and a team that truly knows how to make guests feel special, Oak & Ola is one of the very best in Tampa. Otherwise, all items were delectable and provided complex flavors. My standouts were the pork belly, the beet and crab salad, the duck confit special, the hogfish (and I'm not even a fish person!), the chicken Milanese, and the toffee pudding. My husband and I ordered the same thing but they tasted very different. We both got medium steaks, the one he got was a proper medium while mine medium rare to rare. The host made us feel incredibly unwelcome. We asked for a table and she informed us there weren't any (which is fine, a little attitude but I get it we didn't have a reservation) so we went to the lounge area. While there, we saw online that they did have availability so we booked. We spent over 30 mins in the lounge and no one took our order. When it was time for our table the host was aggressive as soon as she recognized us, said that the system online was wrong and that there are no tables. So we went back to the lounge.. honestly to figure out where to go next. Shortly after we got a message saying our table was ready, when my husband asked about it, she told him to sit back down that she will tell us when it's truly ready. Anyways, she came back reluctantly, saying that I guess people canceled so we can go in. The server was nice but was rarely there and would take a long time doing things like bringing menu.

**Sunda -- Asian Fusion (2nd visit)**…read more Went back to Sunda specifically for their limited-time Caviar Sunday, and it did not disappoint -- but let's start with the food that came before it. We opened with the **tiger shrimp tempura** -- candied walnuts and a creamy honey aioli. Smaller than I expected, roughly half-dollar sized, but tender, sweet, and generous in portion. The candied walnuts and honey aioli combo leaned sweeter than a classic honey walnut shrimp, with a little bang bang shrimp energy minus the spice. Trying to pace ourselves for dessert, we kept the rest light: the signature crispy rice (Wagyu and spicy tuna versions, split two apiece), The Great White (escolar), and the lemongrass beef lollipops. The Great White was well-balanced and delicious. The lemongrass beef -- sliced NY strip wrapped around a lemongrass stalk with ginger soy -- was solid but not a standout; the lemongrass flavor was subtle and the chili barely registered. Fair warning: it comes out well past medium-rare since it's wrapped and cooked that way, and the server didn't ask for a temperature preference. Good, but not something I'd reorder. The crispy rice was tasty but not a personal favorite -- the Wagyu and spicy tuna toppings themselves were great, just not sold on the crispy rice base. The standout of the savory round was the lobster Wagyu roll -- lobster and Wagyu tataki with a duck pâté aioli, sort of a surf-and-turf sushi roll. Pricier than the other rolls, but the combination justified it. Definitely ordering that again. **Now, the main event: Caviar Sunday.** Our server mentioned this particular caviar brand is a favorite of a certain pop star's, which was a fun detail. The tower itself was a showpiece -- diced and quartered dragon fruit, lychee, blueberries, crispy rice balls (first time trying those, loved them), plus passionfruit and ube sauces on the side. It came with turon (Filipino plantain egg rolls) and vanilla ice cream, essentially a build-your-own sundae kit with caviar mixed in. Caviar with ice cream sounded strange going in, but the salt-sweet balance worked. Genuinely unique, and I'd order it again without hesitation. It's not cheap, but it's roughly half the price of their standalone caviar entrée for the same amount of caviar -- so relatively speaking, it's the smarter way to get it. Service was excellent throughout -- good pacing suggestions so we didn't over-order before dessert, and when we couldn't finish the tower, our server packed the leftovers carefully on ice so we could enjoy round two at home. My one regret: ordering a double espresso with dessert. Good on its own, but it clashed with the tropical, ice cream-heavy flavors -- that one's on me, not the kitchen. Sunda remains a place I'll keep coming back to.
