I ordered a "Let's Go Pesto" flatbread this past Wednesday around 6:50PM on 04/15/26 and I fell in love with it. It was delicious, incredibly tasty and really added a lovely touch to my day. It's going to be the photo where it looks absolutely amazing, dressed with tomatoes and balsamic drizzle. I ordered another one today around 7:30PM 04/19/26, brought it home to open the box and see whatever the eff this is... lol. I was not very happy to find out today's "Let's Go Pesto" flatbread was completely lifeless and tasted very off. Not bountiful in flavors like my previous one did. This photo will be the one where it obviously lacks half of the ingredients and looks just a bit sloppily made. Now, I'm not going to let this experience stop me from ordering the LGP, I have faith I'll be able to enjoy it again. But I'd recommend that we make sure the staff knows how to put together the items on the menu. FORMAL ESCALATION -- SERIOUS FOOD ALLERGY & CUSTOMER SAFETY CONCERN To Grain & Berry Corporate Leadership / CEO, I am formally escalating a very serious customer safety issue regarding an order I recently received at my workplace through your lunch ordering service. My order was prepared incorrectly. I received the wrong bowl and the wrong fruit, including strawberries and coconut, both of which I have a SEVERE allergy to. This is far beyond simply receiving the wrong food. When a customer receives food containing ingredients they are severely allergic to, the consequences can be extremely serious. Had I not taken the time to carefully inspect my order before eating it, I could have unknowingly consumed an allergen and experienced a potentially dangerous allergic reaction. I am extremely disturbed by this situation because I trusted Grain & Berry with my food and my safety. Customers should not have to worry about whether the food they receive contains something that could seriously harm them. I also attempted to contact the location multiple times by phone, and nobody answered. That has made this situation even more frustrating because I have been unable to speak with anyone directly about what happened or receive an immediate response. I want this matter taken seriously and escalated to corporate leadership and the CEO's office. I am requesting that Grain & Berry investigate this incident, determine how my order was incorrectly prepared, and explain what corrective measures will be taken to prevent this from happening again. I am thankful that I was not careless and checked my food before eating it. I should not have to consider myself lucky after receiving a meal from a company that I trusted to prepare my order correctly. I expect someone from corporate management to contact me directly regarding this incident. I would also like this complaint formally documented as a customer safety and food-allergy incident, rather than simply categorized as an incorrect order. This situation could have had much more serious consequences, and I expect Grain & Berry to treat it with the level of seriousness that it deserves. Our go to spot when out and about because we knew they offered gluten free options that were healthy and delicious. Unfortunately, we stopped in and saw they had revamped their menu eliminating their gluten free options for the flat breads. They still offer gluten free bread option for the "Wholegrain Toasts". I'm sure they have their reason for the change. Unfortunately I don't foresee us stopping in as much now with the change. Service and staff have been good. Grain and Berry has healthy food options. The Dale Mabry location was a bit slower than others I've been to. A smoothie shouldn't take longer then 5-7 minutes to make. Additionally, the guest who orders first shouldn't be served at the same time as the guest who ordered 5 minutes after. I like their menu but the service was slow. Also, there should be a shirt required policy in the store. A sports bra is not a shirt. I think this could be considered unsanitary if the person is sweating in the seat. I ordered the Grain and Berry bowl with pitaya base. They got my order wrong by not changing the base. When I told the server that she got my order wrong, rolled her eyes at me, and asked me if I was sure. I said I was, politely, and she looked at me dead in the eye as she dumped out my bowl very slowly. It was the most ridiculous act I have ever seen. Was too dramatic for a wrong order scenario. Nevertheless, they remade my bowl, and it tasted good. I thought it was a one time experience, but I came back at a different time with different servers, and they still got my order wrong. I ordered a vacation smoothie and a quesadilla. The quesadilla was really good, the smoothie on the other hand was not good at all. It literally tasted like a watery banana. I don't taste the pineapple in the drink or any of the other juices. I couldn't even finish it, so disappointing. My friend ordered the 50 shades of green juice and she said her juice tasted like cucumbers and mint. She didn't taste the apple at all. Came after a workout and this was exactly what I needed. I designed my own bowl which allows you to pick a different base, fruits and your toppings. The bowl tasted so fresh and it was a great size - for me it was a full meal. They also have protein smoothies. The space has indoor and outdoor seating and even a cute light up sign. I ordered the Relax Eat Repeat Bowl with strawberry protein powder. I have to say that this is probably the best açaí bowl I've had. I love a good açaí bowl, and since I had been to another Grain and Berry in the area I knew it was a good stop after picking family up from the Tampa airport as we were headed back out of town. This location is super cute and modern. They do have a bathroom, just an fyi. I love their variety in bowl options- there's 4 different bowl bases that of which the individual health benefits are explained on posters in the store, and it's quite interesting. The man working even let us sample each base. The fact that they automatically offer peanut butter or nutella on the bowl is a huge plus. That really adds a whole other level to an açaí bowl, so mark that down. I got the spirulina bowl (the blue one) which has almost a coconut/ pineapple sort of taste. Each base really is unique and if you can test them if you've never had I would. All in all the bowls were fantastic as expected! They serve coffee as well as housemade juices. As a first-timer, I went in on a Sunday night to get a yogurt banana split. My order came out as a Açaí Bowl version of the same mix. They offered to remake the order as a banana split, but I decided to stay with the bowl. It was every bit as tasty as it looks. Seems like everyone in the store was taking a photo of their purchase. I did a little meet up here to introduce some people for healthier ways of eating. I wanted to patron this particular Grain and berry because it is black owned! There is a big spacious seating area indoors and outside. Perfect for keeping distance from others. The menu is extensive and it makes it difficult to figure out what to select for an indecisive person like me! Luckily the workers were very patient. Some of the people with me had never tasted açaí or spirulina so they offered them a small sample. I love how they provide an explanation of all the bases to learn what the benefits of the fruit are. They have many combinations of bowls but if you want to make your own that is an option too. I like how you can also ask for half granola which I did!
