I can't say enough good things about Florish and I am so glad to have discovered this spot. I have been a few times now for take-out and every experience is great. There is a family member of mine who can't have any dairy and it's so hard finding places that accommodate this so I'm very grateful we have this in Tampa. The pizza itself tastes great and it's cool they found a way to make vegan pizza that tastes close to the real thing. We are definitely going to become regulars here. Florish is a great fast casual spot for plant-based options!!! I've only ever gotten their flatbreads/pizzas and haven't tried the bowls, but every time I've gotten the pizza I have loved it. This time we got the Chicky Buff pizza which was actually a little bit spicy but tasted great! We also got the wedges with ketchup. The ketchup was clearly homemade which was nice to see. The workers were all friendly and gave us recommendations. Definitely check Florish out if you want a quick plant based option. read more

I came here for a Yelp event when it first opened and I'm a bit upset that it's been over a year since I came back. I won't let so much time go by again. The food was delicious just as it was the last time. Tho it was cooked, everything still tasted so fresh and the staff was very welcoming ! The place is simply decorated and very clean. The prices are actually very good bc a lot of places overcharge for healthy foods. Now.. those cookies, ehhhh them being $3.50 is a lot to me bc they are a bit small but they are soooo worth it. I wanted to try something plant based and stumbled upon this restaurant. There were lots of pizza and bowl options on the menu, and they even had a few desserts. The owners were really great at helping us choose an item. I got the pesto sausage pizza And it was incredibly flavorful. My friend ordered the Jersey girl and loved it. The owner makes these peanut butter chocolate cookies that were the highlight of the day. I cannot wait to go back and try more options. I visited Florish and I am giving it 5 stars because I was blown away by how good the vegan pizza was. The hubs and I were visiting Florida and stopped by Florish for a late lunch. It's located at the end of a strip mall type building. Inside the restaurant is simple and cute. You order and pay at the counter before having a seat. The menu offers a selection of Pizzas, bowls, sides. The hubs had a pizza and I had a bowl. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The pizza was so good we ordered another to-go to eat later for dinner. This is a plant based restaurant but the biggest non-vegan would not know unless you told them. Florish has been on my restaurant list for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity to try this place. This is the vegan restaurant I needed! For one thing, I've had vegan sushi, vegan salads, vegan sandwiches. But 100% vegan PIZZA???? This I had to try! I think one of the best parts about this place is that the vegetables are the stars and the food here was delicious! Of course, pizza is one of those comfort foods that is still a treat, it had to be decadent. Florish offers signature creations as well as build your own. I decided to with one of their signatures. I got the "sausage pesto" pizza. Sausage crumbles, vegan mozz, pesto sauce, all topped with arugula and balsamic drizzle. The crust is homemade, soft, with perfect balance of crispy and chewy. The pizza is quite long, and seems massive, but the nice thing about the veggies to vegan meat ratio is that it's quite light, yet still satisfying. I loved the texture of the vegan crumbles mixed with the arugula. The balsamic added and a good tang to counter off the bitterness of the arugula. Next we got the side salad. Not much of a side as it's actually a fairly large size. I really like Arugula, and glad they have more it along with sliced mushrooms, and I believe nut "parmasean". The best part of the salad was the tumeric vinagerratte, which I picked and was recommended by the friendly worker behind the counter. This side salad I could eat EVERY day. (I'm actually one of those people who LEGIT likes a good salad). I love the vibe of this place. Modern, yet still cozy. All the seating was clean and inviting. Although the dining area wasn't very big, I was glad to have snagged a spot for myself. Besides pizza, Florish does offer bowls. The first time I happened upon Florish Plant-based Eats, I had been heading home after spending the day at the beach and just wanted to try something new. I ordered the Baked Meatball Parmesan Pizza to-go, and the entire drive home, I felt ravenous from the amazing smell wafting out of the box. I barely made it home before I ripped the box open. Recently, I was in St. Petersburg, FL, and finishing up my plans out that way. I was in the mood for grabbing a bite at a vegan place where I would have a whole menu of selections (rather than the typical two or three choices that are veg-friendly at standard restaurants). Even though I have some tried and true favorites in St. Pete, I couldn't get Florish off my mind, and I came back to Tampa to try the Fab Farro Bowl with its housemade cashew ricotta and housemade almond Parmesan. It was amazing! If I tried this dish not knowing where it was from, I would have never guessed that the ricotta and Parmesan were plant-based. The portion was hearty and filling, and the flavors were wonderful. The service was top-notch, just as it had been the first time. One of the owners was right there behind the counter, checking the quality and engaging the guests. If you're going for the first time, the pizza is what will make you fall in love with the place. You order at one end, can make your own pizza or bowl or choose from their signature pizzas/bowls. You sit anywhere you want and they bring the food out to you. This place popped up in my search for vegan options in Tampa, and it's probably my new go-to if I'm back in town! The pizza was so savory, aromatic, and delicious it is almost dangerous. I tried the Jersey Girl ($15 with tax) to-go, and my order was ready on time. You can add green onions, parmesan, and red pepper flakes for additional zest and no additional cost. For Sunday morning, we were looking for a place to have veggie brunch. We searched near us and decided to have brunch from florish because of the menu which included plant based vegetarian food. Not to sound dramatic, but this was actually the best pizza we've had! The flavors worked perfectly together. I had the Chicky Buff Pizza and my partner had the Jalapeño Popper Pizza! This is a generous 4 star review. I don't think the food or service rates 4 stars, and I wish I could give 3.5. But I can't. I don't think, however, it deserves the round up to other area 4 star restaurants. So why am I bestowing this honor? It's 100% vegan and they deserve a lot of credit for their menu and options and one of my 3 issues with my meal was unique to my order. We came before a show at the Straz. We weren't that tight on timing, but it became tight because it took almost 20 minutes for our food to be finished. You'd expect a place that operates kind of like an assembly line to get their food done quickly, but no. It took a long time, and the more frustrating part is that these are very thin crusts and mine - the gluten free - didn't even have to be freshly made - it was pre-frozen. Same with our chk'n nuggs appetizer - frozen impossible chicken nuggets. While the service was very friendly and helpful, it just shouldn't take so long. Second issue was the buffalo sauce. I've had vegan buffalo sauces before, and they taste like buffalo sauce. This had a nutty after taste, presumably due to the nut-based cream used to make the sauce. But if so, you need to try a different base or add something else to cover the aftertaste. In fairness, my fiance loved it, so maybe it was just me. I'm not saying not to try it, but I would probably have preferred the BBQ sauce. Last issue was the gluten free crust. The pizza - I got the "meat" lovers - was otherwise excellent. Very tasty. But the gluten free crust was crisp on the outside (good) but way too chewy inside. I know that's how you expect good pizza crust to be, but my jaw was getting a workout. It took a lot of effort to chew up this crust, and it shouldn't. The gluten free crusts at Gianni's in Saint Pete, or Oak and Stone, or Blaze, is much better. I really appreciate the option, but this wasn't a good one. As I said, my pizza was otherwise very good, and I wouldn't have had the same complaint about the regular crust. They also offer bowls, which sounded fantastic, so I will probably come back and get a bowl next time. I think this would easily have been 4 stars or more if not for the buffalo drip and the gluten free crust, so avoid those and you'll love your meal. read more

Tampa does "upscale fast-casual" really well, but Florish adds something I do believe we were lacking before: a nutritious vegan option. After a vacation where I ate at least one plant-based meal per day, I'd been searching for more plant-based restaurants to incorporate into my rotation. I happened to type "vegan bowl" into my Apple maps one day while driving through South Tampa looking for lunch, and came across Florish which had recently had its grand opening. Vegan restaurants often focus on meals that are supposed to look, sound, and feel like they're real meat, cheese, egg, etc. The beautiful thing about Florish is that it uses real, nutritious ingredients in well-balanced plant-based meals. They specialize in bowls and flatbreads. I got the Avant Garden - my ONLY complaint was that I wished it had a bit stronger of a flavor, but it was still a delicious meal and I would get it again. Another positive note - one of the owners was on site when I ordered, and he took the time to remember my name. He actually said my name when I left, which is special because I watched plenty of other guests come in and leave since I sat down. I looked at the menu ahead of time, so I already knew I was ordering the Buffalo Soul Bowl. I love chicken so I was interested to see how the plant-based detail would taste. I didn't miss the chicken at all. The Buffalo nuggets were perfect and I love their Buffalo sauce. The rice and sweet potato were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I usually just get a water, but went for the blueberry raspberry tea and it was delightful. Not too sweet like some teas can be. Based on the menu I was expecting Florish to be a major vegan junk food joint. I was pleasantly surprised to find that while their menu is full of vegan meats and cheeses, the resulting dishes are not super greasy, salty or oily. It seems about as healthy as this style of vegan food can be. I was drawn to Florish because of their Nuggs & Wedges appetizer. It features Impossible Nuggets on top of potato wedges and covered with buffalo sauce and house made ranch. Wow! Both the nuggets and potatoes had great texture. They were soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The ranch was nice and light with good flavor and the buffalo sauce added just the right amount of spiciness. I also ordered a flatbread, the Jersey Girl, which is red sauce, mozzarella, sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms and parmesan. I loved the crispy crust and the flavors on top. So good! Everything I experienced at Florish was really good. I just wish I was able to try more but my stomach is only so big. If you get the chance, Eat Florish! read more

I don't have any dietary restrictions nor am I vegan/vegetarian so I don't frequent these type of restaurants often, however I'd been curious about Florish for a while. I got the margherita pizza and the chocolate coconut cookie. I was so pleasantly surprised with how delicious both of these items tasted. The pizza was very thin with a nice crunchy crust. The tomato sauce was so tasty, had the perfect sweet to acid balance. The cashew ricotta was surprisingly good and creamy, and the almond parmesan added an additional crunchy texture to the pizza. We were lucky enough to attend Friends & Family at Florish, a wonderful new plant based restaurant in South Tampa last week, the restaurant opens its door officially on March 1st 2022. Locals Keith Sedita and his wife Jill Faline have really hit it out of the park, the concept is amazingly thorough and thoughtful. I went to Florish for an event- not a place I would usually try but it was better than expected. I'm a carnivore but am trying more and more vegetarian options. I had the meatball parm pizza. It is a soft flatbread pizza, the 'meatballs' are placed in small pieces on top of the sauce. The 'cheese' is swirled around on the pizza and fresh basil is added before serving. The meatballs were tasty. The cheese does not melt but had a mild flavor. The sauce was delicious and had a bit of spice to it which enlivened the other flavors. I was only able to eat half of my pizza and took the rest home, with my chocolate coconut cookie and iced tea, which was delicious. There is plenty of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant. Inside is clean and bright. Lots of table seating. The staff was friendly and helpful. Keith, who is the owner with his wife, greeted me and we chatted about his motivation to open this place.
