Big Mac crunchwrap + Tampa Cuban + Toasted Marshmallow Latte
    Brett W.

On a recent trip to Tampa we ordered WeVegan several times, couldn't get enough! I don't particularly enjoy sweet drinks but I had three toasted marshmallow lattes because they were that good. The Big Mac Crunchwrap is genuinely one of the best vegan items I've had at a restaurant and I've been vegan for 10 years, it was exceptional. The Tampa Cuban, breakfast empanadas and breakfast Crunchwrap were also good. The staff and store were nice and I would highly recommend WeVegan if you are in the area.

I love the vibe of this little vegan cafe. The pastries look so delicious and the books and merch is so cute I wanted to buy everything. I came here to try a vegan Cuban because I've been craving an authentic cuban but I don't eat pork - so I figured a vegan Cuban is the next best thing. The bread was fantastic and tho I wasn't the biggest fan of the vegan meat used - I still enjoyed the sandwich! My partner got the Crunchwrap...I tasted that & it was amazing. I'd probably go back & get that next time. It's a really cool spot for working during the day. I'll definitely be back.

I had a good experience trying WeVegan Cafe while on the hunt for some tasty baked treats. They offer a nice variety of vegan food/drinks. The day I visited their cinnamon rolls were buy one get one free so I got those along with their strawberry pop-tart bomb. Customer service was great and I got everything packaged up to go quickly. The overall taste was good, but nothing spectacular. I really appreciate that places like this exist especially since some people in my life have to avoid certain foods. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu in the future!

Came in for a Tuesday computer day and got my usual order at a coffeeshop: cold brew with cold foam. This one happened to be a vegan cold foam, made from oat cold foam cream. As cute as this place was, I have to be honest about my judgements. The cold brew tasted sour. The cold foam was very good in the first few sips, but within a few minutes, the foam curdles in the acidic coffee. I recognize it was vegan so the structure I'm sure is less stable, but my main disappointment was coffee itself. It was either old or under extracted. They also have wifi, but it never worked for me. I worked around this by using the Spectrum Free trial in 30 minute increments. Kinda a hassle but I made the best of it. I would come back to try some of the desserts tho, but as far as coffee and wifi purposes, I can't recommend :(. BUT-- If you like hand-made and local artist crochet items, they have such a cute display of their own barista's art at the front!

The hardest decision you'll have to make at WeVegan is what sweet treat to get! I usually try to stick to just one, but no judgment here if you leave with a bag full. The hours are a little tough here, closing by 4 p.m. most days, but if I'm down in south Tampa at lunchtime, I always make the stop at WeVegan. It's non-negotiable. Today, I tried the vegan Cuban, and it shouldn't surprise me that a place where I once saw competing shirts about Tampa natives calling themselves Tampanian or Tampeño (I guess those of us born in Tampa in the 80s who called ourselves Tampons wouldn't put that on a shirt ), the vegan Cuban sandwich is made as close to the authentic construction as possible. I've had better veggie Cubans elsewhere (as I prefer the blasphemy of plantains and fresh salad veggies in my veg-friendly Cubans), but for a vegan version that tries to feel like the OG, WeVegan takes the lead. I would recommend their other offerings like the Crunchwrap and the breakfast burrito over the Cuban though, unless you're really craving those Cuban sandwich vibes. But really, the sweets and the lattes are where it's at here. You could pick literally anything from their case and you won't be disappointed. And their friendly staff and easy parking make this an enjoyable, easy stop when you're in the area.

This was a really nice surprise on our trip to Tampa. Usually there is a concern with vegan food, but not here in Tampa. We even took our non-vegan sister there and she enjoyed the turkey Cubano. Sandra makes sure her guest feel valued. Thank you, Sandra!

Good vegan food for an area without a lot for vegans! Definitely appreciate their presence. Didn't blow us away but we are spoiled by California. The Crunchwrap was yummy but a bit small, cafe con leche a bit too sweet. The gluten free brownie was a little too sticky of mouthfeel but tasty!

I stopped in for a to go drink and sweet treats! I loved the adorable plant truck out front to celebrate their Christmas in July weekend. I got an iced cafe con leche, cinnamon roll, two amazing cookies and a piece of lemon loaf. Friendly service. I can tell this place is frequented by locals. I wish I lived closer! See ya next cute place.

First off service is top notch! I had never eaten vegan before so I had a lot of questions, they took their time to answer all my questions and explained all the food options. I got the cookies and she even gave me a special Valentine's Day Box for my kids! The decor is adorable and cozy! Lastly the food is so delicious I didn't expect it to be so Flavorful and yummy! Def recommend 10/10!!!

Delicious food and great prices. What's even better is that it's dog friendly. We had the buffalo crunch wrap and the Tampa Cuban. Both items were delicious. The atmosphere is great and full of beautiful plants. They have a couple cute areas where you can work and bring your laptop. They offer specials every week so there's always an opportunity to try new things. Everything is vegan so I get to try everything on the menu

Stopped by on a Saturday, since our local place closes by 2pm and so glad we did! It's just 10 minutes from us in south Tampa and all vegan and delicious! Decent amount of table and countertop seating indoors, nice and clean. Loved my iced cafe con leche perfect amount of sweet and the coffee tasted so good! My husband really liked his guava lemonade too. Definitely want to go back and try the many vegan treats they offer as well including ube cookies, brownies and so much more!

The inside is a decent size with tables, cute decor and lots of plants. When I first walked in, I was taken back by how beautiful the pastry display cases were!! I had the hardest time choosing which pastry to get because they all looked like works of art!! Super friendly staff, great service but now to get to the goods: the coffee and pasties. This is a true authentic French bakery, no doubt in my mind. The iced salted caramel latte is the best I have EVER had. I could taste every flavor and it blended with the coffee perfectly. The ham and cheese croissant was so flakey, the perfect ham ratio and just all around fantastic. The pastry I got had raspberry jam and white chocolate ganache (I don't remember the name of it) and it was seriously the best pastry I've ever had. Most pastries can be too sweet, but this was just right. The jam tasted fresh and homemade (probably is!) and the white chocolate ganache gave it just a touch of sweetness. It is a little pricey so be warned: $48 for two coffees and two pastries. Definitely worth a splurge!!

The space is quaint, modern but inviting. The pastries are truly the star of the show. I stopped in around 4 PM and parking was easy to find. The service was also excellent. The person behind the counter was very welcoming and even helped recommend pastries based on our palate preferences, which made the experience feel more personal and thoughtful. What I ordered: two pastries, the strawberry Japanese cheesecake and the goat cheese carrot cake. The strawberry Japanese cheesecake ($15) was a perfect balance of fruity freshness and caramelized richness with a creamy finish. It was not overly sweet and the fruit and cream notes really stood out in every bite. The goat cheese carrot cake ($16) was my favorite. I would go back just for this. It was moist, rich, and had a tangy goat cheese filling that created a very creamy, complex flavor profile. So delicious. The prices are on the steeper side but I love a baker who knows their worth. Totally worth it for the quality.

La Segunda is an institution for Cuban bread and pastries, baking 18K loaves daily and ships nationwide via Goldbelly. Our niece's BF is Cuban, and he said buy anything with guava. In the box (see photo), we bought two each of guava flip (kind of a folded tart or empanada), guava turnover, and guava flip with cream cheese. All of them are delicious! I like the flaky guava turnovers the most even though they didn't survive the transportation across the country in my backpack as well as some of the others. Even though slightly crumbly, still yummy! I also bought butter cookies, sold by the pound. Those are relatively ordinary; I'll skip those in the future. Next time, we are carrying Cuban sandwiches home! I really wish I carried them home. I was having Cuban sandwich withdrawal. This location is older but functional; there isn't seating. Their customers know what they want, and everything moves FAST. If it's your visit (like it was for us), I suggest looking at the menu online to know what to order. The service is friendly, even though I can tell he was a bit exasperated that I didn't just yell out my order and I asked questions. I honestly don't fault him. Busy places have their own pace, and the customers are the ones to keep up. That's perfectly ok.

I was already swooning over the photos and menu options seen on Yelp and Google, but TASTING is BELIEVING and now I'm so glad that I can say it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like a little piece of Paris right here in Tampa! (I've been). So I've come for cake, stayed for latte and quiche, and because why not, threw in the salad so that lunch and dinner is taken care of, too! Okay, first off...what I got. The quiche is light and airy, and is basically a croissant with quiche filling instead of a quiche slice. I love croissants, so this was a nice treat for me that I could hold in my hand. The Salted Caramel Latte I thought was pretty unique, because yes, there's a PRETZEL on top of it (which I plucked off and ate the first thing when I got it. It's great to know if you're watching your waist line or caloric intake, Paris Baguette has you covered with no problem as the nutrition facts are listed on the menu so you can make an informed choice. The sponge cake was light and airy like a coffee cloud as was the buttercream, not too sweet, rounding out my whole meal in nice elegant, finish. The shop itself is cute, but Muffin and I ate outside since the outside area is dog friendly. It reminds me of those open-air cafes in Europe, especially in Paris, elevating my lunch experience with my dog. The staff is super nice and welcoming on approach, too.
