Single worst pedicure that I've had. My wife has taken me for a variety of different pedicures over the years in Manhattan and in the Hamptons and I've never thought of writing a review but today I received the single worst and shortest "regular pedicure" ever at this place. The manicurist was rude to begin with. She tried to upsell as soon as I sat down on the seat, even though I was not interested in their Leg/ ankle massages to add onto the regular pedicure. Once I said no to all of those extra services, they seemed frustrated and started on what I can only call the shortest pedicure ever. Hardly scrubbed my feet no buffing of the nails for which they said they charge extra five dollars, hardly cut any cuticles or anything else and basically put my feet in hot water two or three times, and I was done in no less than 10 minutes. That's the Worst Manicure in my Life ! Customer service Sucks on all the levels ! They don't know what is almond shape is , nor how to file your nails straight. I was filing my nails mostly by myself . Also they are cheap with a product . When I start to complain that I have a lot of gaps on my nails without powder , they just ignored it . They didn't polish my nails after powder or make it look nice around the base . They just put top coat and told me that I have to pay anyway, coz they are done ! I was going to this place for the past 4 summers ! This was a nightmare visit . Definitely are not coming back !!! Still paid 45 dollars . read more

Have been coming here for years because it is convenient but today was the last time. Scheduled a mani/pedi. When I sat down the manicurist asked what kind of pedicure I wanted (they have a full menu) and I said a regular pedicure. Her "pedicure" was done in 15 minutes- was basically a polish change. When I mentioned it, she just said "well you only wanted a regular". Had to do another coat myself when I got home because it was so bad. Won't overpay for services not rendered any more. I received a hard gel manicure. The e file bits were kept in a dirty Altoids box covered in previous clients nail dust. The bits had been previously used on past clients and were never cleaned, disposed of, or sterilized. Even if they had been cleaned, they were placed back in the contaminated makeshift storage bin that I assume was eaten out of prior to its use as an efile bit storage. The nail files, clippers, buffers, and cuticle nippers were all taken from a desk drawer and were not cleaned or sterilized before being used on me. The manicurist would constantly burn my fingers from the efile and got gel all over my skin and under the nails. I left with serious skin irritation from it being efiled off my raw skin. I had asked for a new set and she continued to apply the hard gel over my lifting soft gel after asking many times to have it removed. Unpon leaving I noticed that the gel was already being lifted off my nails, but was too disgusted to ask for a repair. I left worried about fungus and infections. read more

Horrible experience! Had a 10am appointment waited outside bc they weren't ready until 10:10. Got in and they sat us down for pedicures then came up to us and said we didn't have an appointment which we did. The water and towels were ice cold. Didn't clean the dirt from nails just painted over. Told the owner about the cold water and he said "it's bc you came for first appointment" we said well you should still have hot water and he said "then you come later in the day if you want hot water and towels". TWO YEARS of me following up and being bounced around. Had I not been as persistent, I would not have gotten reimbursed. Update: I have since had my nail removed. Today I went to the salon with me and my friend ! I asked for the staff to do this design on me. They said they could do it and I got this. ( pictures will be shown) It costed $52 and they didn't turn out well , we asked for a refund and they told us it was our choice to get the nails not theirs ! I went to have my nails done for Christmas, I made an appointment two weeks earlier. I didn't wait, but that's the end of good news. The guy who was doing my nails clearly didn't have enough experience, he had to use remover a couple of times..he didn't use gloves and at the end the effect wasn't like I expected. While the people were very pleasant I got nicked during a manicure and subsequently developed a serious infection. I ended up at Southampton urgent care and on two weeks of antibiotics to clear it. I would not recommend the salon. read more

I got eyelash extensions 6 weeks ago, and they are still looking great. My point of reference is Brooklyn neighborhood spots, so I'm not so much in need of pampering, but looking for a good deal. I have been to Pure on several occasions, always with appointments. I don't know why I bothered making appointments, because they ALWAYS keep you waiting (often for 20+ minutes.) The pedicures are average and you should resist efforts to be "upsold" to a "premium" pedicure package - not worth it! This place was terrible. The person who touched up my eyelash extensions glued several lashes together. She also put full extensions on baby lashes, causing them to fall out. At night, i had trouble sleeping because her extensions kept poking my eyes when they were closed. Run away! This place is a rip off! I stopped in for a manicure and pedicure. The nail tech suggested a $45.00 spa pedicure which included a 15 minute massage. This was the first time I had been to this salon, I was looking forward to this experience. First, their definition of 'spa' is rubbing your leg with a scrub for 30 seconds. She tried to convince me to add a $5.00 callous remover. When I told her I did not want it, she took out a old, dried out, used purple scrubber and ran to over my feet for another 3 seconds. Next step is the massage. The nail tech takes out the timer and puts it on 11 minutes rather than 15. I assumed she would add the 4 minutes after the timer went off. Well she didn't! As soon as her timer rang she stopped. Also, it was the worst massage I had ever had. My manicure was just as bad. The polish was all over my cuticles. My toe polish and nail polish chipped after one day. $58.00 for a mani and spa pedi and I was only at the salon for less than an hour. If you need your nails done, take a drive into Hampton Bays and go to Epic nails. read more
