I've been a loyal customer at your Blue Hill Ave dispensary since it first opened, and I really appreciate the convenience, your product selection, and especially your rewards program. However, I want to offer some honest feedback about recent visits that I believe management should take into account. In the afternoons, especially closer to closing time, there seems to be a noticeable lack of urgency among the staff. On multiple occasions, I've seen a line of six or seven customers being handled by only two registers, while employees casually chat with each other instead of focusing on moving the line along. I understand end-of-day responsibilities are important, but transactions shouldn't take 15-20 minutes due to side conversations. Many customers are on tight schedules--catching buses, heading home--and delays like these are frustrating and avoidable. I recently visited your downtown location, and the difference in service and comfort was like night and day. The staff there were focused, professional, and efficient, and the store environment was cool and comfortable. In contrast, the Blue Hill Ave store is consistently warm--I've even heard employees complain about the lack of working AC. That's something that really needs attention, both for customer comfort and staff wellbeing. What's especially concerning is the disparity between the two locations. I don't want to believe that because the Blue Hill Ave location is in a predominantly Black neighborhood, it's being held to a lower standard than your downtown store in a more affluent area. But the differences in staffing, service, and overall environment are hard to ignore. I'm sharing this feedback respectfully because I want to see this location do better. OK, let's talk about how not to run a business. I decided to give this place a try since I have been taking CBD for my osteoarthritis. I called and placed and order online. Pretty easy so far. Ten minutes later I received a text from the store that the order was ready for pick up. Now, this place is not in a desirable section of Dorchester. In fact, it is in the area where crime rates are still high. I got my mask and drove over. Upon arrival, there was a line down Blue Hill Avenue and continued onto Stanwood Street. The line was over 30 people long. SO, I went to the front of the line to find an employee to ask where I could pick up the online order. He pointed to the line. I said, why did you not say this in your text??? No answer. I asked again. I cannot be expected to sit in a line for over 45 minutes waiting to pick up an online order. The professional thing to do is to notify your customers that there is long wait. The guy was clueless. On top of it all, several employees did not have masks on, they were not social distancing and they were also not making sure the people in line were social distancing either. Many of the people in line had no masks. So, this is what happens when you award a business license to people who no experience running a business. It is obvious the lack of professionalism, customer service and just plain common sense that is lacking. This place is not right. their website sucks and their prices are to high ( no pun intended) they don't represent the neighborhood that they're in. This store is just a front to get white peoples money and to overcharge the black folk who lives in the hood. I do have a gripe with them because I lived in this neighborhood all of my life and have never been barred from a business because I complained that they sold me the wrong product! The management team would rather get in the pants of the beautiful customers than care about the needs of their employees. Then to get rid of so many employees that customers love just for petty reasons like computers making the mistake, firing the person and then apologizing that the computer messed up but not offer the job back or even better.
