I liked that Megan has experience in all types of births herself (I think two c-sections, two homebirths and one hospital epidural) so I hired her in July 2016 for the home birth of my son in September 2016. She was so very supportive about home birth and helped to assuage my many fears. I went into labor on Saturday night and even though my contractions weren't super close together, I asked her to come that night because I felt like I needed the support. My husband was an amazing birth coach and partner so Megan did a good job of giving us plenty of alone time but also being there to give my husband a break and also give ideas to help relieve pain. Along with my husband, she stayed up with me all night through every contraction. It ended up being a very long labor and I didn't tend to make progress unless I was walking so she was great at encouraging me to get walking so I would progress. After the birth, she stayed around and helped me as I was feeling quite dizzy from blood loss. I also used her placenta service (do this!!!) and got a smoothie, pills and the salve (my skin has seriously never looked so good - I want more but she told me I'll have to have another baby to get more)! I am forever grateful to her for all her support in the most important experience of my life.

I was hesitant to take the…read moreclass because of a traumatic birth with my first baby which was supposed to be natural, but ended up with so many medical interventions, and was skeptical of being able to do a natural birth given my previous experience. However, Lisa was very kind and understanding of my situation, explaining that my first experience was filled with special circumstances and assured me that none of that would happen again. She educated me and my husband with all our options for our hospital birth and giving me a new hope and courage that I would be able to give birth naturally. This past week I had a scare that I had a rupture of membranes and did not go into labor (the same thing that started my first traumatic birth experience) and I reached out to her through text. She gave me lots of advice, reminded me to stay calm, and suggested some natural induction methods which worked. We also benefited from using the acupressure pain relieving techniques we learned from Lisa during labor. I started getting strong contractions at midnight, got to the hospital at 2:30am, and had my baby girl in my arms by 3:37am. She was a whopping 9lb3oz and I was able to push her out with no epidural and no tearing!! It was an amazing experience and I'm so happy to have had Lisa's help and advice throughout the way. Best Massage this is not. Unfortunately. Let me preface this…read morereview in that the massuse I had told me they don't get much from the 50 dollars you pay for 30 minutes. The owner takes most of it so they will ask you for a big tip and that does sit right with me. Also, they only take cash (no card) and they require you to pay 1st. The massage itself is not good. Lots of fast squeezing all over the place and I got no relief from it whatsoever. It was 50 dollars for 30 minutes which is not worth it at all and there are other places that will do a better job at half that price. Also, my massage therapist straddled me.... You heard that right. I was face down and she immediately straddled me and I was so shocked as no massage place has ever done that to me ever. I felt very uncomfortable and I wanted to leave. I can go into more detail but this was very unprofessional and it makes me wonder if any of the therapists have a license or professional training at all. I mean, she straddled me like a horse! Seriously. In conclusion, they get 2 stars for the cleanliness of the room and that's really it... the massage wasn't good, the price is too high, they only accept cash, and they ask for a big tip. I always wanted to try this place and if you did too don't go here, you'll be disappointed.
