Since it was the first one, I thought that probably I would have to fill in some forms and I decided to arrive earlier at 5:15pm. When I arrived, the office was closed with a post-it on the door mentioning "I will come back at 5:45pm". I thought it was weird if my appointment was at 5:30pm but I decided to wait. The office is at the second floor on a building with no AC at the hallways and I did have a face mask so it was very annoying due to the hot. Then, at 5:40pm another client came and told me she did have an appointment at 5:45pm. So, when I explained to her than I had been waiting for a while she called the owner and she told her we were both there. This customer told me that she preferred calling her because the first time she went there the same thing happened to her and the owner had completely forgotten about her appointment as well. When the owner came back, she didn't even bother to apologize and she just asked the other lady to go inside instead of me who at that point had been waiting for more than 30 minutes! When I asked her about my appointment, she just told me what I was explaining was "impossible" because she did book my appointment for 6pm and that she went out at 5:30pm (seriously?! When she had done the same to the same other client on her first appointment as well? And when I had been there since 5:15pm?). In few words, after all the wait she just implied I was lying about the time of my appointment, as well as all the time I had been waiting there and she didn't even apologize. Just told me that because I did have to fill in some forms (almost at 6pm), the other customer was going first. I was VERY frustrated so I decided to find another place to go. Just a very AWFUL way to treat a customer on the first appointment!!

Out of all the extension places I've tried (more than a dozen in the GTA), Tokyo Beauty Studio is the ONLY place I've come back to. There are different technicians, but everyone is excellent. They're perfectionists and meticulous. I can tell them what I'm looking for - and they'll definitely deliver. Unlike other eyelash extension places, they always understand what I want before putting lashes on me. Best of all, these lashes LAST. The full look lasts around 3 weeks for me (Which is a miracle. Admittedly I do rub my eyes, use cleansing oil, the whole shebam.) I don't want a "I bought $1 falsies from eBay and stacked them on my eye" look. I really enjoyed this treatment - I previously had, had a full body scrub done at Body Blitz spa and just didn't enjoy the experience - it felt very functional and wasn't very relaxing. I really loved my experience this time where my esthetician Theresa had me wrapped up in a warm cozy blanked on a heated table, and carefully applied the scrub to each part of my body, wiping off the scrub with a hot towel and then massaging lotion in afterwards. I felt so cared for! I couldn't really smell the scrub until it was used on my shoulders and decolletage but it was a really nice warm coconut scent. This is a relaxation treatment so the type of massage you would have here is very different than an RMT deep tissue type treatment but for me, I enjoy that style and it fits much more with the flow of the scrub. I really enjoyed my treatment and would recommend this to anyone who needs a little bit of bliss!
