My partner and I spent a lovely Sunday at Larchmont Sanctuary Spa to celebrate my birthday. The spa is tucked away right off Larchmont Blvd. They have only about 4-5 parking spaces right in front, otherwise you need to look for street parking. We arrived 15-20 minutes before our scheduled service and were kindly greeted by the front desk staff and shown to the locker room. The locker room has 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, lockers, and various cleansers and products to use before/after service. We then went into their "relaxation room" waiting area before our service started to wind down and fill out the massage intake forms. It was like a cozy living room with couches, lounge chairs, a fireplace, and refreshment bar with spa water, iced tea, and hot tea. I liked that the form asked questions like how talkative you would like your masseuse to be, if you have any injuries/tender spots, and preferred pressure firmness. My partner had booked us the "Escape Together" package which included a 20-minute copper bath and 60-minute couples massage in the outdoor cabana. The bath was totally relaxing and the jets turning off signaled the end of our 20-minute soak. We returned to the relaxation room where we were greeted by our masseuses Rachel and Lana who guided us to the cabana. We were prompted to choose our preferred essential oil for the aromatherapy concept. Lana provided a very relaxing massage for me and was very sweet. I would have enjoyed firmer pressure but I think it was my fault for circling "Gentle" on the form. I usually go to more budget-friendly Asian spas where their default pressure is usually quite rough. My partner said she enjoyed her massage with Rachel as well. After the massage, they brought us some iced tea and let us know that we were welcome to use the dry sauna and encouraged us to stay hydrated. We spent about 10 minutes in the sauna before ending our time. I greatly enjoyed my time here. The spa was clean, relaxing, and every single one of the staff members we interacted with were wonderful. I would highly recommend a visit here for individuals or couples. read more

I came here recently because I was gifted the Cakeback and Relax package for my birthday. I loved my experience so much! It was actually my second time here, though it had been a few years since I came last. I'm happy to report I loved it just as much the second time! The service included: - A soak in a copper tub, complete with a private room, rose petals strewn everywhere, candles, a glass of champagne and a cupcake - A full body scrub, personal shower and body melt - A 60-minute massage, customized to you with essentials oils and pressure I loved my experience from start to finish! The spa is also well appointed with plenty of towels, secure lockers in the locker room, and a lounge with various flavored waters, teas, and comfy lounge chairs. The one issue here is parking -- there are only 4 spots in front which are taken quickly and are hard to get in and out of. I ubered so I wouldn't have to deal with that. I got a gift certificate for a massage for my 30th birthday and decided that if I'm going to visit a spa for my first time I'm going to go all out. I added 3 services to go with it. My day started with being shown where the changing/locker room is, what to do next and where the lounge area is. There are waters and cups and plenty of seating to choose from while you wait. The fireplace really elevates the lounge. Lana did my CBD oil massage. She was very kind and made sure I was comfortable. I'm not experienced with massages so I had a bit of trouble letting go control of my arm at one point, but she reminded me to relax. Afterward she brought me a drink which is probably normal for them but it was really nice lol. Again I'm not a seasoned spa goer. I really enjoyed the massage though. Next I tried out the sauna for a few minutes which was clean and very relaxing. Up next was my copper bath. When I stepped inside, I felt like royalty because it's set up so pretty with candles and flowers, it's a really nice tub with jets as well. I didn't want that to end haha. Next came my clarifying facial with Arely. This consisted of chemical exfoliation, extractions, an LED mask and a peel. She massaged me a bit as well which was nice. I wasn't sure if the extraction process did anything however because she applied no pressure to extract, it felt like just tapping on areas of my face but it's not a big deal. I can extract at home. The rest was relaxing! I finished the day off with Danielle, who was absolutely phenomenal. She told me exactly what we're doing and made me feel comfortable. First was the scrub, then she got a shower ready for me to rinse off and then brought me fresh water for after. Next came the body melt which smelled fantastic and felt really moisturizing. Danielle went out of her way to even give me a scalp massage and she sent me home with some of the body melt she used. I finished my day feeling at peace, soft and in a great mood. I do think I accidentally left my socks in my robe pocket but it's ok. No pictures because this was a total unplug day for me. No devices, no social media, just being present in the moment. The lounge chairs were one of the most comfiest chairs I've ever sat on and the ambiance was perfect. I did not want to leave the spa. It's not every day you get the opportunity to treat yourself to a massage, so when you do, it's really important that the therapist be Excellent. When I tell you that this was one of the best massages I've had in my entire life, I am not exaggerating. I got the 75 minute Holistic Wellness Massage with "PJ" and it was clear within the first few minutes that I was in for a truly heavenly experience. I got to choose from 6 different scents (I went with peppermint) and throughout the massage he would check in to see if the pressure needed adjusting, that I felt comfortable, and by some miracle (and extraordinary talent) he worked my cement back into jello. After speaking with the spa director at Larchmont Sanctuary Spa, I returned and received a massage from a masseuse named Danielle. I'm happy to say my experience was incredible. Danielle was super nice. Her pressure was perfect and I fell asleep during my massage, which is super rare for me. I typically have a hard time falling asleep in general. After my appointment, I could feel the toxins literally being drained out of my body and felt super refreshed the next day. I will definitely be returning and booking with Danielle. read more

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the experience my partner and I had at Larchmont Sanctuary Day Spa. We booked a couples massage specifically requesting two female therapists. After checking in and changing into robes, we were suddenly informed that the session would instead involve a male and a female therapist. When we reminded staff of our original request, we were told that this was the only option available. We were left with no choice but to cancel. What made the situation far worse was the unprofessional and dismissive behavior that followed. Scott and the bald gentleman at the front desk displayed a patronizing attitude even after we clearly explained why we were upset. Instead of showing any concern for the inconvenience they caused, they insisted on charging us a fee. Scott even made an incredibly rude remark to my partner saying he felt sorry for her for having to put up with me. That level of disrespect is completely unacceptable anywhere, especially in the hospitality and wellness industry. We scheduled our time carefully and made arrangements to enjoy a relaxing experience together. Instead, we walked away feeling disrespected and mistreated. We are extremely disappointed not only by the service failure but also by the attitude and behavior displayed by Scott. Larchmont Sanctuary Day Spa should hold its staff to a much higher standard. After Tina the owner responded: with the right approach you could have turned the situation around, but having a patronizing staff member, treat potential customer , or just people in general is not ok an uncouth! There was a issue, however, there was nothing personal towards that staff until your staff member Scott! took it to a personal level. My girlfriend surprised us with a couples package that included a pre-massage soak, a 70 minute massage and an exfoliating scrub to wrap it up. The bath tub was all copper and an amazing start to loose up the muscles. After the tub, we waited only about 5 minutes before our masseuse's came out to great us. We had PJ and Victor! This was the first time for both my girlfriend and I to have a male masseuse and to be honest I was hesitant at first. Let me say, they were extremely professional and knowledgeable! They didn't mind answering my questions while massaging me and I left with some great tips about how to mitigate my muscle pains! Huge plus! The 5-star treatment that keeps bringing me back to this cozy, intimate luxury spa is a 60-min massage with PJ, a youngish maestro with a degree in Kinesiology and a masterful knowledge of the body, which he'll pass on to you as he kneads and works all your stiff aching problem areas. The icing on the cake is that PJ also has a gentle, considerate manner and will expertly tailor your massage based on your complaints/issues. If you're going to regularly spend 60 mins naked (under a warm blanket) with a masseur, you'd better be comfy with them, and I always feel 100% secure. IMHO, massages should be a vital ingredient in any health regimen; I can easily say that PJ has done more for my health in the last 2 years than any allopathic medical doctor. I leave the bungalow not only drained of the bodywide tension and pain I usually hold, but also with a blissful peace, improved circulation, better posture and flexibility, and an inch taller. What else to love: Other highlights are that Larchmont Sanctuary is built into a 1920s Spanish casita-style bungalow, and features a spacious front lounge full of exposed polished-oak beams, heavenly scented candles, and sofas set around a toasty fire, where you can sit in your robe and zone out with a few hydrating hot herbal teas or cucumber water before heading to the dry sauna to decompress. I had the best deep tissue massage with Victor last week. I read other reviews about him and they were correct, he's really good & the room setup was very comfortable. Honestly, if it was just about him, it's a 5 star. For their price point, this spa isn't really a spa. It's definitely no Burke Williams which offers so much more than the treatment itself. The lounge is cozy but their offerings at their small coffee bar wasn't great. Very, very basic. The front desk gal didn't impress me, not very proactive and quite a boring personality. My main issue is that the price point is high, the only extra thing they offered was a sauna which wasn't private, just randomly in the coed hall way. The person cleaning up the locker room was excellent, everything was immaculate. They have 4 private parking spots in front but plenty of street parking available. I came here on a date for a massage. I have a back injury from a car accident that happened a month ago but it was feeling fine and getting better. Mind u i had gotten a massage like 3 weeks ago somewhere and it felt fine and actually helped me. So i thought getting another one would help. I told my masseuse to go like a gentle medium. She went pretty hard and caused tension and pain in my body. It wasnt a good massage for me. The next day i feel sick and awful and my back hurts even worse. I have a severe headache idk how to get rid of it from not breathing during the massage Its pretty bad. They put the ac on in the room as well. My throat felt sore today. My body just feels sick overall. Im suffering the consequences of it. She went way too hard on my legs and hip. Didnt even massage the bottom of my feet. I dont know what happened. I wish i told her something half way through. She didnt even ask if i was ok or how the pressure was. Mind u i havent worked out in a month so my muscles are not tensed out but more weak than anything especially in my legs. It was a bad idea going i regret it and wish i didnt go for the sake of my well being and mental health. Its a nice place they have a hot tub and sauna and it seems relaxing but when someone asks for like a gentle medium massage the masseuse should know especially when i told her about my back. My bf and I checked this place out last December and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by one of the receptionist and were shown to our lockers once they confirmed the appointment. We chose the "Date Night" that includes Couples Champagne Bath For Two (20 minutes) and Couples Head Over Heels Massage (90 min). What to expect: Parking at the front is only good for 3-4 cars. Otherwise you can find street parking. Neighborhood is quite nice as there are several establishments at a walking distance. Male and Female lockers are separate and you will be given your own locker to leave all your things. Robes and slippers in different sizes are there for your choosing. After you change, you will be in the waiting room until someone calls you for your appointment. It says there on the reservation to be there 15mins before your appointment because that's just the minimum time to have you settled and get your appointment all set. There's water provided in the waiting room and a mini zen garden by the fireplace. It's pretty nice especially when you're unwinding. We both enjoyed the bath with champagne. Wishing that it was longer than 20mins. The temperature of the water is up to your liking. The faucet is there for hot and cold water so you can temper it how much you like. Next was the full body massage. Rachel and Andrea took care of us that day and they did a pretty awesome job. All those knots we had were gone and tensed muscles all relaxed. We both have stressful jobs that require walking and standing for at least 8hrs at bare minimum. It's a constant decision making and a lot of physical and mental action at work. The body oil that they will use is chosen by you. All tips will be charged after your appointment. Wished I had photos for this place but phones were left at the locker. All in all, definitely recommend this place and will come back again for another appointment. read more

This spa is an amazing hidden retreat! The facility is clean and well-designed and welcoming. I think they may have done some upgrades recently and it really paid off. I came for a 60 min massage with Victor and it was excellent! He was intuitive and relaxing. He also used a Theragun on some super tight areas and I sooo appreciated it. They also have a sauna available before or after your treatment, so definitely make some time for it. There are 3 dedicated parking spots in the front, but there are a million parking spaces on Larchmont, so it's easy to park even if those dedicated spots are taken. This place is a gem. Super friendly staff, clean and cute amenities, tranquil lounge area, excellent couples massage experience. Rachel and PJ were LEGIT. We were outside but there are fans above each bed to keep us cool. Rachel kept perfect medium pressure throughout my massage and was very mindful about her touch. My husband had PJ and I can hear how attentive he was to address the knots and even have some neck stretching tips when we were done. I have treated my family to massages many times. The most requested place in LA is the Larchmont sanctuary spa. So, we keep coming back! :) Parking-- Parking right in front but limited. There's street parking and paid parking in the area. Ambience-- This place feels like a small house. There is a cute little fireplace that crackles. It is so relaxing to sip the complimentary drinks. Such a nice place to rest the mind. Services-- *Gender neutral bathroom: It's individual so you can have your own privacy) and a ladies locker room. I don't remember seeing a men's locker room, but I might have missed it! *CBD massage and Jade stone massage These are the top two favorites in my family. I highly recommend that you get as much time as you can. *COVID-19: Massage therapists wear masks when working on your knots *Pricey but worth it. Just make sure that you are clear about what you want. One of my experiences here showed me that I needed to help the massage therapist by guiding them when I felt too much pressure or pain on a particular side. The environment was like a tranquil oasis in chaotic LA. The copper bath was excellent, the lounge area and changing rooms were clean and well taken care of. Great accommodations with infused water and tea. I was really impressed by the massage therapists Rachel and PJ. I personally got to work with Rachel (and my partner with PJ), they both went above and beyond and created a nice, relaxing space for us. I was honestly expecting some really mediocre massage since package deals don't always offer the highest end service, but Rachel and Pj were highly skilled and knowledgeable. What a refreshing experience. They even gave me and my partner follow up care on how to take care of ourselves at home for the next few days. My sweet father in law got me a gift certificate for the Complete Relaxation package for Christmas and I decided it was the perfect way to spend my birthday. The facility is clean and wonderful, and the front desk staff was really nice. They even had larger robe options available when I wasn't comfortable in the sizes offered in the locker room! I had my massage first and Victor was great. It was super relaxing and he gave me stretching tips to help out some of my sore and tight areas. I left my massage feeling like a noodle in the best way possible. Unfortunately, the facial portion was not as relaxing. The description of the service was "light extractions," but what I received was anything but. It felt like Alex was using an extraction needle all over my face and my skin was red and inflamed for a few days following. I get monthly facials and have never had this experience or reaction. I do regret not saying something in the moment or right after to the front desk staff, but that facial was anything but "ultimate relaxation." I loved the majority of my experience at the spa and will return again for massages, but will be steering clear of facials moving forward. read more

Cannot speak more highly of Larchmont Sanctuary Spa! I admittedly have quite high expectations with spas, and Larchmont gets 5 stars across the board. I shopped around many spas in LA before finding this one and haven't gone anywhere else since. I've had the monthly membership for the last two years and alternate between getting a facial with Alex and a massage with Victor. Alex is an amazing aesthetician and my skin improves significantly each time i see her. She does a great job of checking in with me during the short extraction process and always gives me the option to opt out if i have a big event coming up and don't want any redness. She gives me tips to address my concern areas and offers detailed explanations anytime I have questions. I've worked with her to update my skincare routine and have seen improvements in my overall skin texture and clarity. She's also incredibly sweet and personable and i always look forward to seeing her! Victor is also amazing! When I first started seeing him I had so much tightness in my upper back. After seeing Victor consistently for a couple months and following his tips, my back loosened up, my posture improved and I feel more flexible. Victor has learned the ins and outs of my deep tissue needs and I always walk out of there feeling like a brand new woman. He always goes the extra mile to make my experience as best as it can be. He is very professional and truly a master of his craft. I can honestly say he gives the best deep tissue massages I've ever had. Lastly, the front desk, staff and owners are incredibly friendly, accommodating and responsive. I always receive a response to emails within a couple hours. Ok ok ok... so, I don't usually leave REVIEWS, but THIS little gem is so worth mentioning. Birthday Spa Day 2.0-10/4... what an amazing treat!! The early morning vibe in this tucked away oasis is just what I needed. So, this is how the day went: Front desk greeting was super friendly and beyond helpful on the mini tour and instructions on what to do since it was my first time here; BEST customer service I've seen in a long time. Thank you Megan. Then, it was time for my facial (50+ ain't easy to maintain;lol) I'm always real iffy about someone messing with my face, but Arely assessed my face, paid attention to detail, answered my questions about products (I have & don't use) and had great recommendations (in a non pushy kind of way) She as well had the most gentle touch NOTHING she did hurt; NOTHING... not the extractions, product application/taking off or tweezing of my overzealous mustache. ‍ Then, to the JETTED copper bath... what a ROMANTIC atmosphere!! And if you're single (like me RME) it was the perfect setting for me to really reflect, release & reset in the ambiance of candle light, a COPPER freakin tub (detoxifying) bubbles, champagne and soothing jets for my (never ending) lower back issues; HEAVEN!! So relaxing and then, there was the 90 min. massage... the MOST IMPORTANT thing FOR ME when getting bodywork done is for the MT to LISTEN to my needs/target area(s) & OMG did Andrea not only LISTEN, but she fixed my (L) lower back, she fixed my glute & understood the weight distribution on my (L) side & how my (R) is more dominant which creates a diagonal line of tension from my (R) shoulder to my (L) lower back/hip which could've resulted in sciatica issues, BUT SHE FIXED ME!! Many thanks to YOU and your attention to detailed listening accompanied by an amazing touch. The outside cabana was pretty dope too. I like the airy feel of being outside, (not stuffed in a room) but the privacy of being enclosed with your own music, water feature, aroma therapy, hot towels and heated table. There are also ceiling fans for women like me who have their own private summers at the most random times of the day. (menopause) Now off to the dry sauna!! WTF who knew I needed this dry quiet time as much as I did. I think I was in there for 25 mins. & it was so amazing... fresh towels, clean robes and a BATHROOM right across the way! (convenient cause I had like 9 glasses of water) Overall my experience was like NO OTHER spa that I've visited. (& I've been to a few) I'm super big on cleanliness as well (ijs it's shared spaces) nevertheless; the showers, towels, robes, common spaces... everything everywhere was impeccable and the spa attendant Rosa (such a nice lil lady) made sure I had a curvy girl robe (so comfy) fresh/warm towels, perfect water temp for my bath and the spa drinking water didn't taste bitter like most (because they don't wash & keep the shin on the fruit) THIS WATER was absolutely AMAZING, fresh, ice cold and served in a glass. (water ALWAYS tastes better in a glass...ijs.) The tranquil common room was the perfect place to relax transitioning from one service to the other. That couch swallows you up & who said Cali's not for fireplaces this one was great with the sounds of a babbling water fountain in the background... wow. Larchmont Sanctuary Spa is such a vibe!! They knew the assignment and delivered 10x's over. I'd highly recommend THIS SPA to all of my folks!! And I'm a very picky brat so, thank you Larchmont Sanctuary Spa for making the beginning of my birthday day exceptional!! read more

This was five star shizzle. Treated my wife here for her birthday and we had a blast. The couples package was great; the couples massage was amazing and I forgot her name but the therapist that wore the pride face mask during our visit molded my large self into clay she was so good and thorough. The couples rub was great and huge after a nice long massage. No major complaints but what I would ask is to make sure guest clean up after themselves before they leave or just ensure you check the changing/bathrooms to make sure glasses from other guest aren't left behind. It's been about a month since visiting Larchmont Spa with a couple of friends. We each were scheduled for massages and the type of massage for each of us had been predetermined when we booked. At the end of our appointment, my friend remarked to the receptionist how she had not received the type of massage that she had requested. The service I requested (hot stone w/ med-firm pressure) was chosen because I had been experiencing some issues along my scapula area. At the time of the massage I attributed some of the mild pain I was having during the service as a result of the masseuse just working out "my kinks". Sadly, it's been a month of more pain than I initially went in with...it's almost as if now I have an actual back injury due to the service I received. Very disappointed because now I think I need to see a doctor. read more
