I had to wait a day before writing this review, because I wanted to write it with a clear head. I was too disappointed and upset yesterday when I picked up my two airedales from the grooming. First off, they didn't have my appointment shceduled when I arrived with the two of them at 7:30am. But they went ahead and took them. I had made the appointment the week before, after calling around looking for a place that had experience grooming airedales. They were the first to tell me they were. In fact, shared with me that they had a couple of airedale clients they groom. Just in case, before turning my airedales over to the groomer, I told her specifically. that I liked a long beard and mustache, and not to cut them. I even went as far as to give her photos of how I wanted the "head", showing different angles. I even told them what size blade to use. All I can say is, the ears are right on both dogs. I have no idea how many months...maybe a year, for my female to grow her beard back. Or how long her hair will grow back on her face so she doesn't look like a poodle or whatever that's supposed to be. The Groucho Marx eyebrows and the mustaches....I'll have to do or find another groomer just to fix them. And poor Roadie, he has been limping on his right front leg since we got him home. I was hoping it'd be better today, but it's not. Will have to take him into his vet. if there's no improvement. Don't know what happened, but he didn't have a limp when he went there yesterday morning. And they sure didn't say anything on how he may have hurt himself or gotten hurt. One thing I will not be doing, is taking them to the Big Dog Show at Reliant Stadium , in Houston, for "Meet the Breed". In the past, I've always taken our airedales for that. It's like a "show and tell" , where people can see and touch different AKC breeds and get information about them. They do not represent what an airedale should look like. Not even as a "pet". I didn't expect a show cut, but I did expect an airedale cut from someone who claimed they were experienced and knowledgeable to do that. I have serious doubts...serious doubts that was truthful. The price....shocking...$335.60 ($25.60 was sales tax) I was told $95 each for the grooming because of their weight. Then the upcoding for the nails ($15), conditioner ($5), dematting ($10) (was told they found a mat under Roxie's front leg, I told them to just cut or shave it off..it wouldn't show anyway), they said nothing about finding any mats on Roadie, but I was charged for them.). Then an extra $30 charge for "scissor service". I wasn't told this would be an extra charge above the "grooming service". And what was the "add on pattern set service" ($10) for Roadie? That was a whole other charge...and not one for Roxie. But I guess she was so messed up, they couldn't claim that. Roxie did have a cute bandana that was so tight on her neck, we had to cut it off. Roadie didn't have one, Maybe all they are used to doing are small dogs? You would have thought they would have put some cologne on them at least, but no. Just as well, they probably charged for that. I was shocked at the price. And of course, we had to pay before they brought the dog's out. And they don't give you a receipt of the charges, either. When I got home, I had a mystery message to click some weird link on my phone from an unknown number. Nothing that said it was from Red Bluff Pet Resort. Just a link to "view Roxie and Roadie's report card" and to "click this link to get pre approved for credit". After getting on my computer, I was finally able to figure out it came from them, and the desk person had signed me up for it. First off, there was no report card. There was a place for putting my credit card information in for them to make things easier for next time (as if). And I finally found my receipt and the breakdown of charges. It was a very expensive lesson. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a groomer that really does know how to groom an airedale in the Deer Park, Texas area. Photo of Roxie and Roadie. I wouldn't recommend this location. Although the grooming salon and Veterinarian offices are great. The daycare group play is poorly kept and lacks professionalism. My dog has been sick several times there, I've been told he is doing great, then told he is no longer allowed cause he is over excited and hard to control. I get it. Found this pet resort when looking for a groomer after recently moving to the area a year ago. I made an appointment for my yorkie to get groomed for a much needed pampering (her hair grows faster than mine!) Broken Hearted. Boarded Miniature Liver Schnauzer over 4th of July weekend for the third time to board. Never again! I should have been offered a full refund. Instead, I got platitudes about routines and busy weekend ; but no apology for inadequate care. Several phone calls have left me heartbroken. There was not one single human being that made the obvious decision to return my dog to his AC luxury suite. No one determined that 110-plus-degree heat was TOO HOT for any living being and in particular a dog. During one of 3 phone calls I made, I was told that outside play staff watches to see if a dog's tongue curls as an indication they are overheated. Ridiculous. When I picked my dog I was not informed of severe heat exposure BECAUSE they did not know. My dog was matted in chunks throughout his legs and torso. His eyes were crusted. He was bleeding under his right leg. His belly, legs were covered in heat blisters ( even under his chin). Red Bluff did pay for vet care (located in the building next door). He got a steroid shot and creme. No follow up calls. I cannot comprehend how Chema suffered heat exposure in the first place. Nor is there any logical explanation for why a vet did not see him immediately. How do I grasp the fact that I paid for extra time to handlers yet no on knew he was in trouble. I placed my trust in this facility and its staff as we had boarded and had play dates previously. My dog was neglected period. I am heatbroken. His blisters are still drying. Never again. read more

Between my son and I we have 4 dogs{2 Pomeranians, 1 Schnauzer and a Staffy). Joanna from grooming has been grooming our pets since birth. We have followed her since 2007 to every location she has been. My Pomeranians don't get groomed by anyone except Joanna. Early this year my 12 yr old Sophie passed away and Joanna groomed her and now still grooms my 14 yr old spencer and my son's dogs Lola & Sebastian. Joanna is very professional but considerate with our dogs. We hear horror stories with groomers but we know we can always trust Joanna. They do a great job with nail trims. $9 for nail cutting and $15 for nail grind. A little pricey but they know how to do them quickly and efficiently; even with a dog who is a difficult patient. Bathing for a small dog (less than 25lbs) is $15. Bathing for larger dog (up to 50 lbs) is $20. Very reasonably priced bathing. After reading reviews here on yelp, we felt out of all the groomers in our area that this was the place to go. Boy was i wrong. We took our dog in to have her nails clipped. Usually a simply porcedure, but my daughter and I are both afraid to do it ourselves and didn't want to take a chance on cutting her to far then have her bleed. We entered the building, and it is clean, nice everything in it's place which is the only reason they got a star. Staff were kind of stand off-ish. We told them our need and the receptionist asked the groomer if we could go back. Of course they said no. To us, our dog is like a child and you always go in with your child. She did ask if we needed to muzzle her. I'm thinking to myself... um you are a groomer and I would think all dogs would be muzzled 'just in case'. Keep in mind, we have never had a need for a groomer before, so we really didn't know what to expect. No muzzle for the dog. Next, all we heard was our dog yelping for help. She was hurting. That's when they brough her back out to us and said that she would have to be sedated. Though I am reluctant to sedate humans or pets, as I had a bad issue years ago, I asked how much. The groomer asked the Vet to come and speak with me. She said they do not do any sedation that we would have to see a vet. OK, I thought the groomer said she WAS the Vet. Not quite understanding unless she was a Vet Tech and she should have been introduced as such. No one that I personaly swaw working there looked like they were over the age of 20. They attempted to cut two nails and one of them is now damaged instead of cut. We won't be coming back here. read more

I'm so happy with the service I get here. My dog (Kingsley) loves attending group play and alway comes home exhausted. I have separation anxiety from my dog but I know that he is safe and having fun when I leave him here. One time I even saw the pet pals running around in the field with the dogs. They were having a blast. I just recently tried their boarding services and it was a great experience. I was very nervous about leaving him but being able to watch him on Skype was very comforting. I was able to see that they gave him the playtimes that I payed for and fed him how I told them to. When I picked him up the front desk immediately told me that he didn't need to take any of his meds. That I gave them just in case. That was amazing because every time I leave him at other places he gets an upset stomach and gets sick. I'm so happy that they took very good care of him and really listened to me about this issue. The one thing I wish they would do is invest in getting turf. Kingsley always gets so muddy because they have real grass. But saying that there grooming is top notch. He is a Labrador so it can be hard to get the water all the way through his coat but every time he gets a bath he comes out shiney and smelling amazing. An emergency 1-wk stay turned into 30 days. During Lily's stay the staff was wonderful. When she dog got sick (nothing contagious), the mgmt was attentive and contacted me right away. They offered me immediate options. The next day when I got there, she already had a vet appt set for next door. A staff member was with me the entire time. The ins covered everything! We had good service last year when we left Coco there to stay a few nights with no issues. However we decided to take her back for a few days while we took a family vacation. After picking up COCO we noticed her left I had blood around the corner, we called the pet resort and asked what had happened. The representative said they noticed her eye was swollen when they gave her a bath not sure why this was not brought up when we picked her up. The pet resort does evaluation before the pet is received, the customer should also receive a check out evaluation I did not receive a report card this visit I find strange we could not get a definite answer to the blood around COCO's left eye. read more

They came as a referral from Richey Animal Clinic. The staff told me it was the same owners so I thought this would great! They've treated my two German Shepherds well over at the Vet so this place must be great. I've driven by it a few times and again one I found out it was the same owner I felt a little relieved. Made the appointment for my male and asked for the grooming and FurMinator package. They told me the nails trimmed, ears cleaned and anal gland expressed come with the package but I needed to request it. No biggie I did. The price they gave me the day before was $30 more than the day of. I paid it and the fact that a tip section was on the credit card terminal was ok but why would I tip before I see my dog? Plus I was a little upset about the $30 price hike. When the groomer brought my male out she told me that Max didn't want his nails cut so they used the grinder but weren't going to charge me for it. I've had him since he was a pup and if you know my dog he doesn't mind his nails being trimmed. After I got him home I noticed he didn't have any traction on the wood floors. After inspecting his pads I noticed they hadn't been trimmed either. So I clipped his nails and trimmed his pads but for the $100 I paid for him to get done I would have thought there would have been a little more attention to detail. I'm really disappointed and decided not to take my female there, who was scheduled for a couple of days after that. As a local business owner in Pasadena I'm very aware of how your staff can easily ruin your credibility. Check your people because I won't recommend the grooming side to anyone and I will choose to find another groomer for my dogs. read more

This place is ran by a bunch of kids with no experience in caring for themselves and then you put your pets in their hands. I received my pet back in poor health, she lost 10 pounds and had diarrhea. She was covered in shit and piss. They gave me some weak ass excuse that my dog was uncontrollable, which is a lie. My pet stayed at kennels and groomers all the time and have received praised for her behavior. Brought my dogs here for grooming! Over all very nice and helpful staff. Both my pets looked and smelled great. Only one concern, when I called to make their appointment i was told that the bath service included nail trimming ear cleaning and anal gland cleaning. Her nails were trimmed but her ears and anal glands appeared the same. When they read out to me the services the did they mentioned she got the "gold package" so my expectations were higher. read more

Changed pricing, very HIGH!! I had been bringing all 4 of my dogs here ever since they opened, always happy. Recently they changed pricing. Be prepared to pay between $80 - $100 and add a tip guys. It is not reasonable, I have changed to a new groomer business and now even with a tip and all the works I am under $65.00 which is what you should expect and do a good job. I took my young dog today for a bath and blow out to just give it one more try and they showed me a new price pkg for baths. I picked the silver and she said this one will be $18.00. I thought good price for bath and blow out. The silver was for ear cleaning and a perfumed bath shampoo which I would think a perfumed shampoo would be for any bath, it used to be. When I picked up the dog then I was told that the $18 was on top of the bath price for just a bath and blow out with the ears being cleaned it was $35. I am sorry that is crazy their previous pricing was usually $63 for "deluxe" groom then add a tip. Last time I go back. read more

They cut my dogs hair way too short & tried to send me home with the wrong dog. I asked for just a trim around her ears, tail and belly. My dog came out practically buzzed! Her nails were done nicely. However, they tried to give me the wrong dog and I had to tell the girl 3 times that it wasn't my dog. Any time you ask a question about a service you're met with an eye roll or silence as if they're contemplating actually helping you and the manager there seems to never be in. The employees are always on their phone and never want to actually help. How this place functions is mind boggling. read more
