I recently began to remodel my home and was replacing my old siding. During this process, I found…read moreout that I had asbestos siding under my aluminum siding and needed to hire an abatement company to remove the siding. I did my due diligence in researching companies and found a company that sounded like it would work the best for my project. On the first day of the job, I went around my home with the crew chief/ team chief and showed him all areas needing extra care. I have new windows and a two-year-old mini-split ductless system on my home that has freon lines running on the outside of the house in plastic covers. The problems began on the second day they were at my house. As requested, I turned off my ductless system for the company to remove the siding around the system. Two hours into the process, I go outside and see that they have broken some of the plastic covers. Instead of unscrewing them, they ripped the covers off the wall snapping the plastic. I called the main office about this. They were understanding and said that the covers would be repaired. The next day I turned on my system, and it no longer is working. I again call the company, and now they are not so friendly and ask how I know it was them that broke it and how do they know if it was broken. I explained that it was working just fine when their employee asked me to turn it off, and after they finished, and I turned it back on, it didn't work. I contacted my ductless system servicing company to come and check the system out. The repairman found that one of my freon lines had been pulled away from the system, and I had no freon in the system. He repaired the line and recharged the system. He also gave me an estimate to repair and replace the covers for the lines. I reached out to the company with all this information and requested reimbursement for the damage. The company responded that they would only pay a portion of the damages, and when I asked that they pay for the complete repair, they would no longer respond to my emails. I am now taking legal action to resolve an issue that I did not cause.

Terrible customer service. Though the contact Travis said he was reached "after hours" verified records indicate he was contacted after 9AM on a Monday morning in addition to several unreturned calls. My review of 58 Foundations on our basement dig-out project…read more Please be advised that 58 Foundations appears to operate in violation of home improvement regulations in the District of Columbia. Their contracts are legally deficient, as they omit both the salesperson's license number and the project commencement date. Furthermore, the District of Columbia Licensing Board (DCLP) was unable to locate a license for our specific salesperson or any other individual at the firm. It seems they don't have a licensed DC salesperson. Following a ten-month delay, the company proposed a change order that would double the initial project cost. This increase is a direct result of the original salesperson's lack of expertise and professional neglect. Additionally, the company proposed a solution that is illegal under DC regulations, and their internal communication remains highly disorganized. Under District of Columbia law, performing home improvement sales without a proper license or executing contracts without commencement dates and salesperson license numbers may entitle clients to a full refund of the contract price, regardless of work completion. I recommend that any parties engaged with this company review their legal standing regarding these practices. Please be cautious if you decide to challenge this company. Their management called and threatened us claiming that we will run out of money before they do.

I found him on Yelp and noticed that most of his reviews were AMAZING but older. However, I can confidently say they were accurate. My experience matched exactly what others described. Mr. Rudd was responsive, communicative, professional, and maintained a positive demeanor throughout what was already a stressful situation. What stood out most was how thorough he was. It's obvious that he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about providing quality service. He didn't just complete the job and disappear. He followed up the next day with a phone call to explain the results in detail and then sent an email that aligned perfectly with everything we discussed. My only con is the price. It was a bit expensive, but let's be honest... my con is almost always the price. Who actually enjoys spending a lot of money? No one! That said, the level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made the experience worthwhile. I would absolutely use his services again and recommend him 100%. Unfortunately, given the nature of my situation, I have a feeling I may need his services again in the future. If that happens, he'll be my first call.

After vetting many companies, I came across Rudd's. Danny was the only inspector I could find who seemed to know the true detriment mold and mycotoxins can have on some people. No one else in my house was effected by the mold, but I could tell there was something there and Danny believed me. After doing an air sample with no evidence of mold spores, he went a step further and did a cavity sample in the wall. The results for mold were off the charts. Not only did he find the mold, he found the cause of water penetration. Danny, being experienced with many companies in his line of work, gave me the names/numbers of some top-notch remediation companies who proved to be great additions to my arsenal to combat my mold problem. During my experience Danny was there for me every step of the way. Always willing to help and was very reliable and responsive - normally with next day service. I was so impressed that I asked him to test my mothers house as well. Without Danny's help and guidance I may still be going in circles, trying to find the right company. I'm so glad I took a leap of faith, Rudd's Indoor Environment was just who I needed. Thanks Rudd's
