do not take your car here the Job was vary bad I have a 2020 Chevy and i just had the door painted there was plastic in the clear the tape job just was vary bad some parts of the door didn't even get painted bc tape overlapping on the the door I have 6y of working at a body shop as a painter and never seen suck hake work the only reason it was there was because the chevy dealer sent it there. would not recommended the only reason there getting away with that work is bc people don't no what there looking at but look close bc im 100% + that you will find something that is not right. read more

Had some front end body work done. They were able to get me an appointment quickly and gave me a very reasonable quote. Nick called everyday to give me a status update - which I thought was a personable touch. Finished on estimated time and actually came in a little under the quoted price. Never again. This is the worst body shop I've ever used. Office staff was rude especially after everything in my vehicle was stolen while in their "closed lot because their tow driver didn't lock my car." How convenient for the thieves. Oh course the tow truck was parked next to my Jeep. When I got into my car when it was finished there was dirt all over the inside on the wrecked side. Car rides like a tank now. They didn't even offer to help pay for the $900 worth of items stolen out of my car. I would have thought the owner could have had the balls to come talk to me after the theft. Excellent. It is refreshing to have such an honest group of folks running a body shop. I hit a deer on 95 heading south in MD. I got a lift to DC and left my car at a gas station 20 miles from Elkton. I called Purnell the next day and they were super helpful. They went and towed my car to their shop for less than it would have cost to tow it 1 mile in DC. While the car ended up being totaled, they were very helpful and professional, and they gave me a few extra days to come sign over the title to them. I would highly recommend Purnell! read more

So it took three times to get the job done and still not 100% confident it is right because I kept catching things that good quality inspection of completed work I think should have caught but glad to have my car back and out of the shop at home. Overall, time for repair was good with the exception of having to drop off car the two additional times for comeback/rework. Staff was overall pleasant just not "Best in Elkton" which is what I expected. Car cleanliness was okay as it was somewhat cleaned just not overall who vehicle, primarily just the worked areas were cleaned. The best aspect of the experience was communication as I at least knew if delays were impacting delivery and when I could expect to have car done. I was kind of disappointed as this place had good recommendation from the insurance adjuster so still not sure why I had to catch the issues with workmanship forcing me to return the car back until it was done. read more

Poor customer service. The rudest repair shop I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. Not only was Chris rude to me on the phone, he was purposely unhelpful. I will never take any of my vehicles to this shop again. I have had previous work done at this shop, and I was not overly impressed with their work at that time either. Took my Charger to Purnell Body Shop after I cracked up the front end. Luckily the damage was only cosmetic. I got a few estimates because I know that I was not going to go through insurance for my repair. The good news is these folks actually do what they say they will do. Repair was a breeze. No surprises. Dealing with the estimator and office staff was easy enough. Repair was completed when they said it would be so I would definitely recommend. read more

Just received my car back from purnell auto body shop located at 211 blue ball avenue in Elkton md my car was horribly damaged someone or one of the techs I believe drive my car the face of my dash was damaged they charged my insurance company over 7,000 dollars and the work is horrible. The management staff MR CHRIS FELIX, ALSO THERE IS A WORKER BY THE NAME OF TYLER made them aware of my damages the day I received my car back and I was told that's not their problem it's Cadillac problem after asking several times for the technicians NAME I was told that I can not be given that information as a consumer it is important to make the public aware of their behavior it was unprofessional and unacceptable CONSUMER BEWARE PURNELL AUTI BODY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND CHARGE FOR THINGS THAT ARE NON EXISTENT #SEE YOU GUYS IN COURT read more

Very disappointed in their work. I had a lot of front end damage and parts were mainly after market which was ok. when I picked up my car I told the guy that brought it out to me that front bumper on both sides were not fully attached. Also the paint job on hood and side fenders look as if there was dirt in the paint and also bubbles. The gentleman told me to contact my insurance company if I had any complaints. I do not understand how these people felt comfortable letting their work leave their shop in the sad condition they did. I will NEVER recommend them nor EVER give them return business. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Purnells. We are from out of state and were towed there from I-95. An accident is stressful, but when you are out of state and have to make an on the spur decision as to where to go the stress heightens. They did everything they could to make us comfortable under the circumstances, They communicated with us throughout the process. Their work was great.
