AAA, my home insurance carrier sent over Serve Pro to assess and immediately start on getting us back to a home that was comfortable for me and my family. With all the horror stores one hears of contractors, I must admit I was very stand offish at first when they arrived, but in the first 5 minutes of dealing with Alex and his team, I was put at ease with both their professionalism and courteous efforts to respect our home from any further damage. Started with entering with shoe covers which may be the norm for them, but NOT all 3rd party contractors. I didn't have to ask was the impressive part. Then after assessing the ordeal, before bringing on any equipment (Fans / Dehumidifiers) they laid down a thick padded walk way from the entrance to the stairs ensuring no equipment caused any more damage. The team worked very well together and explained to me what to expect, how things worked and a timeline of when the equipment was to be removed. They followed up 2 days later and diagnosed the situation and recommended 1 more night to be 100% sure everything would be fully dry. Upon the final walk thru, they removed their equipment and tested everything that had been a part of the leak to show me that everything was dry not only to the touch, but also by using their equipment in front of me explaining what he was doing, and sharing the results. Later that evening, Serve Pro reached out once agin to have a Senior VP (Marc Sallin) come by and conduct an exit review and walk thru ensuring if I had any questions, or concerns he would address them. He read the results from my test and reassured me that these types of tests are not the most accurate way to assess mold. He used multiple different tools and reassured me of negative results that we found! I recently found some black mold in my garage and needed it taken care of. Found out I needed to…read morehave some testing done to the drywall and joint compound first to make sure there wasn't any lead or asbestos. Was recommended S&J by one of the mold remediation companies, and through text they were able to schedule me in relatively quickly. Guy came in, was fast and friendly, did his thing. He noticed there was vinyl tile on the floor of the area I needed mold treatment so he asked to take a piece to test. I said sure. Results came back quick, and so did the invoice. They tried to upcharge me an extra $405. I replied to them saying that wasn't the agreed upon price. They "fixed" the error and knocked off $100 from the already inflated price, apologizing that they got some detail wrong in the invoice. I had to reply again, challenging that detail and the extra money they were asking for. It was only then that someone in charge finally got involved, explained they'd had me confused with another client, and backed down to the original quoted price-- but tacked on an extra $40 for the floor tile! I paid the invoice because this was 4 days later, but told them they need to disclose when something is going to cost extra. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. While I can accept an honest mistake, I was left feeling like they were trying to take advantage of me, hoping I'd just pay whatever they asked. Whatever the truth is, S&J Environmental Testing leaves a lot to be desired in regard to their customer service.

Hired these guys for a duct blowout/clean even though they were 3x the price of everyone else…read morebecause they guaranteed white glove immaculate service. I even specifically told them we just repainted the entire inside of the house after a remodel and I wanted to hire a company that would take care of our home while working in it. The supervisor reassured me that that would be the case. The quote was $2700 whereas all others were sub-1000, so I thought they would honor their word. The guys that showed up were super nice and after going over all the vents, I left. I did notice that their hepa vac was dirty, but hoped that was just the machine...I should have trusted my gut. When I returned, there were a tons of marks all over our walls and baseboards. The managed to scuff up almost every room in the house. I then decided to check for their cleaning diligence and EVERYTHING SINGLE vent still had dirt remaining in it. I included some example photos and a video, but there were WAY more. I had my painter come by and asked him how much it would be to touch up all the marks and he told me about 2k. I emailed them all of the pictures and videos and told them the service was not up to par AND they messed up so many walls that it would cost me a lot of money to fix all their damage. In response they sent me the report which had pictures of before and afters that showed some ducts cleaner, and said they completed the service they were contracted for. I talked to the manager and told him my vents are still dirty, but now I have damaged walls all over the house I have to touch up, so I told them it would be fair to just keep my deposit. After all that, all they were willing to do is discount 50%. I didn't want to fight with them so I just agreed to the balance. I do acknowledge that the ducts were dirtier before they came, but they weren't cleaned well for what was promised and at that price. So in the end, I still paid way more than any other company quoted for a MEDIOCRE cleaning job, and now will be out significantly more money when the painter comes back to touch up their damage. I wish I had never hired them...total rip off and my ducts weren't that dirty to begin with...
