Great selection and customer service... one of the only places that I shop at! This place does a great job!

I've been going there for a long time and there's only about 20% of the budtenders that are actually nice and helpful. Today when I spoke to the bystander trying to , understand that I was looking for Gummies or less costly items. She became very snotty with me . I bought the thing I was going there for vape on sale and quickly went down to the dispensary on 19th and bought more things with the kind and considerate bartenders at 19th . They are about the same price but much nicer people . There's too many dispensaries in the neighborhood to suffer fools. read more

Just poor service overall. This started a couple of years ago. It used to be a good place. There was even an incident when an employee harassed a guy on the sidewalk, called the police and this poor guy, and when the police said the man didn't do anything wrong and left ... they continued to harass him! I bought 2 carts a few weeks back and unfortunately they were defective. I came in this afternoon fully expecting that I wouldn't be able to exchange them. Jayden was great! He was super friendly and was happy to swap out the defective carts for two new ones. The customer service here has always been friendly, knowledgeable, and 5 stars! I love this dispensary it's my usual spot for all my medicinal needs due to frequent joint pain because of my job as a cna . I had been going there for a while as well as my mom has been going there . Today specifically I went to get my plus gummies and when I was being rung up I asked to input my number so I can get my medical discount and I was immediately denied the medical discount because apparently I need a second recommendation from the department of public health??? I kept telling them I had been there many times and I always got it and that they could verify my medical but they refused I didn't try to fight it but I was upset and obviously in pain. I will like to follow up with the owner because I am not happy with my experience today. read more

I've been coming here for the past few months, and overall the collection and quality are great. Most of the staff are also consistently kind and helpful, which I really appreciate. That said, my recent experiences haven't been as positive. During my last few visits, Luna has come across as unfriendly and dismissive. When I ask questions about the flowers or take a moment to decide, they often respond with noticeable attitude. When I ask more detailed questions about a product, the explanations sometimes feel condescending rather than helpful. Customer service should feel welcoming, especially when someone is trying to learn about products and make a thoughtful purchase. I hope this can be improved, because the shop itself is great and it would be a shame for the experience to feel uncomfortable because of this. read more

I told the guy I came just for that he then says if you cared about your order you should have called in and made sure it was here... isn't this the whole point of online ordering? Here's an update on my previous review. I popped in here in a bit of a hurry to pick up my regular gummies, however, my debit card is old and eroded and they could not accommodate my purchase (my fault). I apologized to the very pleasant sales assistant and left. However, the 'manager' Grayson followed me out and handed over a box of my desired gummies. He didn't need to do that. I've never felt the need to post a review before, but my experience today was honestly bizarre. A guard named Khaled kept trying to flirt with my aunt while we were just trying to look around/shop. My favorite dispensary in Sf for both in store & delivery. The staff is friendly & have extensive knowledge on the products so I know I can always count on their recs. Delivery minimums for neighborhoods outside of the mission are really reasonable (I get mine to the outer sunset) & you can always call before or even after placing an order for some guidance on what to get/any deals going on. I just want to thank Purple Star from the bottom of my heart. It always take care of me I had an issue with my payment method and they came all the way down here and I didn't have the right amount. I finally visited for the first time today, and I was really excited to make a purchase because I was told by a friend that they have great deals. I was really looking forward to my visit. The service at the front door and waiting in line was super quick, I was able to get a budtender pretty fast. When I finally got my turn to be serviced, I ask a question in order to compare two products and asked the budtender if they knew specific details about a specific product, thc levels. He replied, "No I don't pay attention to those things." Which was perfectly fine, then he asked, "Can you really tell the difference?" And "I feel like people miss out on good products because comparing quantity over quality." Which were both valid explanations but it felt also condescending responses as if they were irritated that they were being asked that question. It definitely was a rhetorical question said in a way to almost make me and my friend feel like -- why did you even ask that question? Just answering "no" would have sufficed. I couldn't even respond at that moment because I just wanted to make my purchase and leave at this point. It seemed like the customer service went out the door after I asked a question, so I decided to make my purchase and just leave. I was happy I got such a good deal on products I was looking forward for but it came with the cost of this weird interaction and energy. read more

STOP! CAUTION: PLEASE READ. I had almost officially switched to this dispensary as someone who orders at least $150-200/week from dispensaries, I was consistently having such good experiences......until today. I received my call to confirm my order and when I asked about the additional deals (the ones that they refuse to give you unless you ask) I was told by sales associate that I didn't receive the deal I thought I would, I attempted to clarify as it was unclear on the site which products did and which products did not get an additional discount, when I asked for clarification and she was unable to provide it, I spoke with a manager named "DJ". I've spoke with this individual before and I'm not sure if he was protecting his friend or just having a bad day but I am absolutely disgusted by my experience today. When I attempted to clarify what was written on the site, he said "it's pretty clear on the website", I told him it was unclear to me which means that it could also be for other customers, but that either way I was confused and I just wanted to cancel my order. He then asked why I was so "so stressed" which I had never identified being I just simply wanted to cancel my order. As he continued to interrupt me, he said I was getting "aggravated" which, again, I explained I was simply trying to cancel my order because I would not receive the discount. I asked that he stop attributing mental health symptoms to me as I work in mental health and that can be damaging to people as he's not qualified to diagnose/attribute mental health symptoms to people. He continued to repeat "we just try to give you the best deal" in a very patronizing way as he clearly wasn't trying to give me any deal, he then said "well what do you want me to do just give you the discount....will that make you happy?" and I said "no again, I can't believe this is my experience today and I would like to cancel my order". I hope that this was a singular experience and that no one else has to suffer through the lack of customer service provided by both DJ and PurpleStar today. I hope that I can eventually speak with someone higher up to provide feedback regarding my experience today, as I had consistently been placing orders at least once a week and I definitely won't be now for fear of who might be waiting on the other side of the phone, waiting to verbally attack customers under the guise of "trying to help". To me, as a manager, its clear that some customer service/sensitivity retraining is necessary. Just because you use a soft voice when you're speaking down to someone, doesn't mean you're being sympathetic, empathetic or that you're not being patronizing, very toxic masculinity energy. I hope this is looked into because I had to cancel my $150.00 order. Very, very disappointed. read more
