Great place to come when you need some hardworking work wear. Customer services has always been top-notch when I come in. Recently I came in with my 4-year old daughter to buy a gift for someone. I was at the showcase looking at the Ridge wallets, trying to decide what to buy. One of the sales associates, a lovely young lady came up and walked me through all of the Ridge wallet options (they have a lot) and even broke down the different models, colors, and materiel options of the different wallets. She noticed my daughter next to me and offered to give her a super cute sticker, which was very nice that they do that. For those parents out there they know how much a little sticker means to a child. I made my choice of wallets and started looking around at the knife counter. She was also very knowledgeable about the knife options available and took out a few from the case to show me. She provided exceptional customer services and I was very impressed with her knife knowledge. Once done she checked me out and made me aware that due to how much I spent, 150+ I get a free PB hat. She took me over to the hat section and showed me the options to choose from. This hat is now my favorite hat and I have been wearing it everyday. After choosing a hat we wrapped up and she let my daughter pick out another sticker. My only complaint is I wish they put the cashiers names on the receipt so I could acknowledge this you persons exceptional customer service, knowledgeable of the product, and attention to detail. I've always loved this place for buying Carhartt tshirts, hoodies, and other work related items. I have a tshirt that has the tags on it, stickers and is completely new. I buy plenty of shirts at one time. A 3xl that I removed the tags on and wore was just too big even after washing it. I thought I would be able to exchange the one with tags for a 2xl, but was told no because the time to exchange was 30 days. I'm not asking for store credit or a refund, just an exchange from a 3xl to a 2xl. As someone who has spent my hard earned union money here for years I think this is ridiculous. Absolutely terrible service. Walked Sarurday June 31st guy behind the counter (sleeve tattoos and braces) no acknowledgement whatsoever, way too busy on his phone. Another person roaming around stocking shelves? Looked at boots for 15 minutes tried to get phone guys attention. No avail. I walked up and asked if anyone was working here? Tattoo guy says "well. You could just ask for help" customer service is non existent. Way too many places to shop than have to put up with it read more

Went in to try to buy a pair of work boots. Have been shopping here since the opening in Oakley. Took at least 15 minutes to even get help with size. And then needed to get a different size and couldn't even do that for another 5 to 10 minutes. When going to check out, there was no one to be found at the register. Another customer was waiting to try on some sunglasses and made the comment. Guess there's no one working today. Waited five minutes and decided not to support this business anymore. read more

Just walked out about 10 minutes ago! I came into the store to purchase a few pairs of work pants. I was greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter and had found what I was looking for. While he was helping a customer with some boots, I waited at the register for a few minutes or what appeared to be the register. It was actually a computer, another employee walked out and looked over the sales floor. I guess she didn't see me standing at the register with product in my hands. I'd been at the register a few minutes already when she walked right by me and proceeded to ring another customer up who was not there before me. I'm sorry I may be short, I'm not invisible and your employee walked passed me as I patiently waited to be rung up. I left my product on the counter and just walked out. I've never worked a union job before and i start my first one on monday. I'm obviously not the most educated on union attire and whats acceptable and what isn't. Brandon, Ally, and i think the last ones name was Marceles? were 3 employees who helped me out so much with everything from top to bottom. They were so helpful and extremely patient with me on everything i needed and gave very understanding explanations to every question i had. I hated the thought that i was being annoying by being so uneducated or having too many questions but it didnt seem to bother them one bit and they were more than happy to answer anything i threw at them. They helped me understand the difference in material and whats more useful for what job, while also suggesting satisfying comfort for each piece. They made my shopping experience 10 times easier and lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders from the pressure that came with starting a new job. I now feel confident and ready for work and I can't thank the 3 of them enough. give them all a damn raise!!!! read more

So happy that they have been open throughout the SIP. I went in the other day for some boots and shirts and the cashier was so helpful. One of the shirts was not available in a certain size at this location, so he called another store and got it sent over to the Oakley location for us. Boot selection is really large as well as everything Carhartt. If you havent checked them out for your work wear needs it's worth it! read more

I have to give Purpose Built a poor rating because of my frustration and their lack of response. I recently purchased a pair of sunglasses from there for $150 for my husband. He didn't like them so I went back to return them. I was THEN informed that they didn't give refunds or allow for exchanges on sunglasses due to Covid. I told them that no one had informed me of this when purchasing the glasses, nor was it posted anywhere in the store, on the receipt or website. Furthermore, I was not shown any scientific or medical proof that backs up their belief that you can catch Covid from a returned pair of sunglasses. If that were true, they could simply remedy the problem by wiping them down with rubbing alcohol. I am very upset that I am out $150 for a pair of sunglasses that won't be worn and cannot even be exchanged for something my husband WOULD wear. My hard earned money and these pair of glasses will both go to waste. I'm am not happy with their customer service at all. read more
