The team is also worth praising as they fight the battle with insurances on patients behalf. Shout out to Kim & team who have consistently advocated to insurance on my behalf and worked on all the prior auths, new prior auths when insurance changed, and enrollments for patient assistance when insurance declines a mediation that the dermatology professionals have ordered. Alex was the (nurse?medical assistant?rn? not sure her title sorry!) young lady who helped me in my room & went over medical history etc. she was so warm & professional, she put me at ease even though i was nervous. Elena Novak was the PA & she was so wonderful! with her & Alex in the room they distracted me with friendly conversation so my procedure was over quickly. they both made sure i was comfortable & Elena gave me clear & easy verbal aftercare instructions. i do wish they gave your a physical summary and/or receipt but they said that would be emailed to me. when i made the appointment i was told i would receive an email where i could verify my appointment but i did not receive it. i literally just left the appointment so hopefully i'll receive something via email in the next couple days. i did verify my email & it is correct so that would be my only issue. what is more important though, is that i was taken care of & my medical issue has been addressed. all the staff here is great! my appointment took about an hour, maybe a little less. the young lady who checked me out/took my payment was also nice. thank you HK!

She made me feel like she dismissed the my issue and just told me something that google could have answered. It's not my issue that the RN scheduled me in OBGYN for a woman related issue, instead of primary care. Dr. Gierut made me feel like my issues didn't matter. Just because a doctor is "higher" up and well known, does not mean they will give you the care you need. i don't just need a diagnosis but I want to feel like I am being heard and she cares about my health. She also kept questioning me and saying how "odd" and "strange" it was that I didn't go to the doctor who performed my biopsy ,last week, about this issue. Once again, not my problem they didn't give me a referral or a call back number. I get it's frustrating that other workers make mistakes but that isn't a patients issue. Ladies, stay safe out there and advocate for yourself.

I keep insisting on being with her through several insurances. Memorial care has also been accommodating with new insurances in cases where even though through a specific insurance they would not take new patients, since I had been with them for few years already I was able to stay with Dr. Mimi. Thankfully, my insurance situation improved. I don't even know how she has been able to keep on top of everything, but she does, and is very patient. She has helped me through gallbladder removal, broken leg, and a pulmonary embolism, and now menopause issues and aging. 10 years ago we added my husband under her care as well. Highly recommended.

However he made me laugh and forget about it for a little while. I almost wished I could've stayed longer to joke around but I knew he's busy and I was busy to go back to bed.
