Extremely Disappointed with Training & Board Services!…read more My wife and I decided to use this facility for board and train because we love their Lake Norman doggy daycare location, it's fantastic. Unfortunately, our experience at this location was completely unacceptable. We spent nearly $2,000 for more than two weeks of training, and when we got our dog back, nothing we wanted accomplished had been done. In fact, our dog came home worse than when we left him. Our dog is very smart and food-motivated, easily trainable, so there should have been no issues at all with progress. We live up in Lake Norman, and the follow-up 15 min meeting is 1 hour away from us during the week with traffic, (trainer can only meet onsite mon-fri) Which my wife and I work so this is a huge inconvenience. When we asked if the trainer could meet at a different location or even come to our house, we were told it would cost $170. When we finally spoke to the manager, she said there was nothing she could do because, in her words, "they provided the services." This is a terrible customer experience, especially considering we are loyal customers who use their other locations. Bottom line: Do not pay for board or training at this location. We are beyond frustrated and feel completely ripped off.

My only hesitation for pushing to five stars is scheduling. I had to call five times across three days before someone actually answered the phone. There was a voicemail option. I suppose they are so busy which is a good sign though. Next time I'll make my next appointment while I am still there.

Lots of space, lots of light and yes, the cats are in a special side room with an exclusive door. When Pet Palace called and told us that Goose wasn't eating, I headed over to check on him. I brought some of his special treats and got to see exactly how he's spending his time. It's a nice big space - around three feet wide and six feet high with three levels. It's like a little apartment. And yes, clean. With his treats, Goose was happy. And he was happy to have me visit. I highly suggest not taking a chance with your precious animals with this man. The entire nasty staff should also be sanctioned. My 4 year old yorkie had annual exams and bloodwork each year with another real doctor. I unfortunately came across this awful group and scheduled a teeth cleaning for my well cared dog. Kozelka or more likely an unsupervised staff member that removed all of the bottom teeth and others 13+ teeth. Butchered. Kozelka and horrific staff could not provide any ....any backup of why the dog now cannot chew and has no teeth. No apologies or excuses ...just reiterating that I signed a consent document. Run as fast as you can!!! They literally killed my dog's life. And now I will make sure they are held accountable.

Do Not Take Your Dog Here!…read more We took our puppy to Modern Pet Salon for the first time because we heard they use scissors instead of clippers, which we thought would be gentler. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. We specifically asked them multiple times not to cut too much of her hair, especially since she doesn't like it, but they insisted she had too many tangles and needed a full trim. Not only did they ignore our request, but they cut our puppy twice, both on her ears--areas where there was no tangled hair at all. They even called us during the appointment to say she was bleeding. Later, they claimed it was because she had an ear hematoma and that they had just trimmed it. That was a complete lie. We took her to the vet, who confirmed that the injury was a fresh cut from grooming and not from any medical condition. She did not have a hematoma. They hurt her, and then tried to cover it up. They also asked us to use an old sock to cover the wound, which felt incredibly unprofessional and careless. Since then, our puppy has been extremely uncomfortable. She keeps shaking her head, clearly bothered by her ears, and she has been very sad and withdrawn. This is the first and only time something like this has ever happened to her. I'm beyond disappointed. Not only should they have never charged us for this awful experience, but they should not be handling dogs, especially sensitive breeds like doodles, if they can't do so safely and honestly. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Please protect your pet and take them somewhere else.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating our special request for early pickup. Everything was fine for that visit. The second visit was from a Saturday through Tuesday. We were a little leary of letting our dog join the playtime because we were concerned about large dogs being mixed in with the smaller dogs. But we let them include her in the regular playtimes. When we checked on the cameras, our dog either sat by the attendant or over by a wall away from the other dogs. I don't think she enjoyed the playtime at all. There was one larger dog on camera that looked like it was sort of bullying the other smaller dogs & the attendant did nothing that we could see to correct that situation. After we got her back home, she seemed out of sorts & very skittish for several days. She also had some potty issues after getting back home, and we think she may have gotten slightly dehydrated while she was there.
