Let's get real, I hate working out. Despite this fact, I keep coming back day after day, week after week, and month after month. And the reason is my Push Fitness trainer, Tony Rinehart. Tony has changed my life. Over the last 10 years I've used trainers at other gyms, but I always left a bit frustrated. I didn't see the results I was looking for, and I would quit after three months. Fast forward to Spring 2012, and I find out at my annual physical that I weight 305 pounds. I immediately go into panic mode and realize that I have to take action. Through a change in my eating habits and working out on my own, I dropped 20+ pounds in two months. Wanting to speed up my weight loss, I decided to try personal training again, and through some research online I found Push Fitness. Mark Trapp, one of the owners, and I had a fairly in-depth phone conversation, and from our talks he determined which trainer might work best for me. From my initial meeting with Tony, I knew I had been paired up well. It's been five months now, and I'm loving the changes my body has undergone. All my expectations have been met and surpassed. First the place - it's a great location, it's super clean, and it has all the equipment one would need. The owners, Mark and Josh, have created a great environment for all fitness levels. Since it's a private studio, there are no distractions (waiting for equipment, not having enough space, gym members staring at you, etc.). I've never felt shameful of how out of shape I was, and I'm not embarrassed to try some of the crazy exercises Tony has me do. Now for Tony. What an amazing trainer. I couldn't ask for someone more attentive and knowledgeable. Tony is engaged the entire time we are in the gym, and he even will check in with me via text message. One of my bad habits is negotiating during my workouts in an attempt to avoid difficult exercises, but Tony doesn't fall for my tactics. Tony motivates me and provides the positive reinforcement I need to get through his crazy, intense workout routines. Tony answers my many questions regarding exercise technique and nutrition, and I'm learning a lot from him. My coworkers have been very supportive of my fitness goals, and I'm always talking about my workouts with them. I'm frequently asked, "What did Tony make you do last night?" Tony always switches things up during my workouts which keeps things challenging and interesting. Without a doubt, my favorite thing about Tony is his utter dedication to my fitness and weight loss goals, and that he really wants me to succeed. When it comes to personal training, Push Fitness is, without doubt, the best in breed! I have been an avid workout enthusiast and athlete my entire life, and I can say that I have never been a part of a gym with as much class and integrity as Push Fitness. Josh Steckler (owner) is one of the most stand-up guys I have ever met in my life. As for the rest of the team, they are always very friendly and act as much as your friends as they are your trainers. Trust me when I say that honesty in the fitness industry is a very hard thing to come by! Their A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau just confirms what a great business they run. Push Fitness is also about results. And no matter how big your goals are, if you go regularly, you will achieve them! It seems like almost every client they have is a success story. They run a contest twice a year, called "The Fittest Loser," and I know some clients have lost 80 lbs or so in just a few months! Personally, I was able to gain an astounding 12 lbs of muscle in just 12 weeks this past summer, thanks to training with Josh. Even on a day where I show up (but don't really feel like working out), Josh finds a way to motivate me and design workouts that keep me giving my best effort. He really does get that 110% out of you each and every time. All of the trainers who work at Push are extremely knowledgeable and have been working as trainers for many years. They are not the (just out of school) hungry salesman trainers that you will find at the majority of workout facilities. This is probably why they have such good retention with their clients, and I see the same people working out there. It makes you want to workout harder to achieve your goals when you know that your trainer actually cares about you! I joined push fitness this past May and have loved it. I live in chronic pain due to multiple sclerosis and the past few months have truly helped me manage my pain and become a ton stronger than I ever thought I could be ;) It was very hard for me since I had not done much exercise in over 2 years but my Trainor , Brodie was highly educated in my condition as a chiropractor as was able to know just when to PUSH me and adjust my workouts . At first I thought I was in over my head , but in just a few short weeks I really was looking forward to going every Mon., Wed., and Friday ! The nice thing is I can now do a lot of these exercises even at home and with a few pieces of equipment ( some of which I have already purchased) . I signed up for the three month package and might be considering doing more ;) The trainers are all very nice and friendly . Most male , but there is one female if that matters to you . You will see all ages ! One lady I spoke with is 75 ( my moms age )and I would love to get my mom to a trainer ! You will also see every body size . Nobody judges and everyone is there for basically the same reason I believe , to get HEALTHY;) I would say it was worth every penny I paid and I would highly recommend a personal Trainor if u have never tried one like myself ! They will customize all your workouts and push you to your limit ;) The facility is very clean and I have showered there and used all their nice products many times if I had to be somewhere to go after my session . What better way to judge a place than by word of mouth? At Push, one can count on being surrounded by a healthy, positive group that understands their clientele and their needs. They really do want to help you achieve your goals! My trainer, Steve, was just plain motivating - his personality is positive and magnetic. I could count on him and looked forward to every session. He has an insurmountable amount of knowledge that he is more than willing to pass on to anyone who wants it. Gym is clean with the appropriate equipment. Workouts are personalized, challenging and vary from session to session to keep you interested. Trainers are friendly, professional and most important for me - attentive ( checks your food log, proper form during exercise and coaches you towards your goals). This has been the best personal training experience I've signed up for! Why is it the best experience? Point of comparison, I've been and still am an Xsport member who's purchased a year long personal training program with them. I can say that: - I was disillusioned with my trainer's lack of attention during sessions - the frequent upselling of gym sponsored pills/supplements - bored with the usual machine exercises that target a muscle versus doing compound exercises To be fair, I did reach weight goals in Xsport. But the journey with Push Fitness plus the results outside of just weight loss has been exponential for me here. To give you some more context. I started at 220lb, 36 in pant size, XL shirt. In 3 months, dropped down to 189lbs with a 32 in pant size and can fit a M shirt. I can run a 5k in under 28 minutes. I'm never ever hungry with my nutrition choices and if any, I eat more with 0 pills. I still have 3 more months to my program and looking forward to how much more I can improve. Still skeptical? When I began looking for personal trainers in my area, I was most impressed by the website, Facebook, and positive reviews of Push Fitness. I reached out to them, and was immediately contacted by Steve Amsden to set up a free consultation. His response time was great, which was already a good sign. At our meeting, he gave me a tour of the facility, answered all my questions, and was very personable. I was very impressed with his knowledge, and at the cleanliness of the gym. I signed up for a 3-month, 3-times a week program. Steve was my trainer throughout the entire 3 months, and was awesome! He not only helped me reach my goals, but took my fitness levels to new heights. I used to workout a ton, but had no idea what I was doing. Steve taught me how to structure workouts properly, use correct form, and eat healthy. We never did the same workout twice, which was amazing. Push Fitness is an awesome studio. There are dozens of fitness places in the area, but this one stands out. First, the vibe of the studio is great. It is *extremely* clean, but also well-designed -- open, bright, great color scheme and good music. Mick Viken has been my trainer for 4 months and he's fantastic. He's focused on what will work for me specifically, and my fitness improvement has been crazy. He genuinely wants to see me excel, and that helps during the tough sessions. I can't recommend him highly enough. The owner, Josh Steckler, is warm and engaged, and all the trainers are great. Fitness clubs/studios can be intimidating places, but Push is welcoming. And you don't have to already be in shape to feel like you belong. I do think they need to hire more women trainers to add balance, but that's my only nit. Seriously. It's worth trying this studio approach instead of a big box club. The prices are similar and the quality is much higher. They've got a lot of long-term clients for a reason. read more

I finished 3 months at Push Fitness -- and signed up for an extension! The facilities are very nice and clean. The gym is large enough for several training sessions to happen at the same time; however, you never feel crowded. The trainers themselves are all wonderful. There is no judgment or pressure. They are encouraging and tailor the workout to what you want to get out of your sessions. They are also very flexible and willing to work with your schedule. I like that the trainers get along with each other and make the time I spend there enjoyable. I used to work out 10 to 12 times a week (I considered myself to have borderline exercise bulimia), run several marathons, etc. but never got the results that I have now achieved in the short 3 months with my trainer (Mick). This is an incredible place to train! I have been working out at Push Fitness for 4 years and what has amazed me most is that I have never once repeated a workout routine. My experience there has been so different from every other gym program I have tried. Each session has variation so that your body stays challenged.
